Pb(II)adsorption by biochar from co-pyrolysis of corn stalks and alkali-fused fly ash

Numerous studies have reported the potential of silica as a biochar(BC)***,despite its high silica content,fly ash is rarely used for BC ***,modified BCs were produced by co-pyrolysis of corn stalks with alkali-fused fly ash(AFFA)at 200 and 600℃(denoted as AFFA/BC).The Pb(Ⅱ)adsorption mechanism and adsorption performance were *** AFFA/BC had larger specific surface areas than the pure BC samples(2.54-137 vs.0.50 m2 g^(−1))owing to their stable carbon *** Pb(Ⅱ)adsorption capacity of AFFA/BC in water was approximately 6%higher than that of BC owing to the increased cation(Na+)exchange and new bonding sites,such as C-O and ***/BC exhibited good Pb(Ⅱ)adsorption performance in high-concentration simulated wastewater(pH 4-6),with a maximum adsorption capacity of 110.29 mg g^(−1).The Pb(Ⅱ)adsorption mechanism was in accordance with the pseudo-second-order kinetic and Langmuir isotherm *** 25℃and pH 5,the theoretical Pb(Ⅱ)adsorption capacities of AFFA200/BC and AFFA600/BC were 201.66 and 186.81 mg g^(−1),respectively,compared to 145.98 mg g^(−1)of *** adsorption,precipitation,cation exchange,and complexation were identified as the main Pb(Ⅱ)adsorption mechanisms through X-ray photoelectron spectrometry.

In recent years, micromanipulator with dual end-effectors called microhand has been widely used in industrial and biological fields. Whether the tip positions of the two end-effectors of the microhand can be accurately aligned seriously affects the precise grasping of the microhand. However, few researchers have presented practical ways for precisely aligning the tip positions of a 6-DOF microhand's two end- effectors. This paper proposes a novel, inexpensive, lightweight, robust, and easy-to-use microhand dual end-effectors clamping device that can precisely and quickly align the two end-effectors of a 6-DOF microhand. First, we describe the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device's lightweight structural design. After that, we simplify the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device model and create a mathematical model to determine the relationship between the end-effectors' tip position and the rotation angles of screw No.1, screw No.2, screw No.3 of the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device. Through experimentation, we are able to attain precise alignment of the two end-effectors tip positions of the 6-DOF microhand, so we confirm that our mathematical model is true. Finally, we use the impulse response of PZT in the microhand's lower module to confirm the stability of the microhand dual end- effectors clamping device. We believe that the proposed the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device has great potential in industrial and biological applications as a universal tool for precise alignment of the tip positions of the two end-effectors of a 6-DOF microhand. © 2024 IEEE.

$H_{\infty}$ Antidisturbance Event-Triggered control for Aeroengine Systems via Switched Affine Models

This study is focused on the issue of $H_{\infty }$ antidisturbance event-triggered (ADET) control for aeroengine control systems (AECS) under multiple disturbances. First, a switched affine model is employed to describe the AECS, taking into account the degradation of aeroengine performance and the phenomenon of multimode operation. Second, a disturbance observer is established to compensate for disturbances that arise from the modeling error, uncertainties, and other factors. Then, based on the disturbance observer, a dynamic event-triggered mechanism with respect to the affine term and an $H_{\infty }$ ADET controller are built to optimize network transmission resources and fuel flow efficiency. Furthermore, a sufficient condition is developed to enable the solvability of the $H_{\infty }$ ADET control issue for AECSs. Finally, a simulation platform of hardware-in-the-loop for the AECS based on switched affine model is implemented to illustrate the effectiveness of the present $H_{\infty }$ ADET control methodology.

This paper has designed a distributed monitoring and diagnosis system of engine locomotive. Diagnosis Unit which collecting the real-time parameter data such as GPS information and on-line diagnosis messages for locomotive diesel engine, is installed in each locomotive. It transmits data to the Data Transfer Station via GPRS module. Meanwhile, the Data Transfer Station is used as FTP server on Internet for the Diagnostic Center mining. Authorized clients can get the comprehensive diagnosis conclusion of each locomotive though the website visit of the Diagnostic Center. This system has been finished in the laboratory, and a model system has been established in the Wunan Locomotive Depot, Wuhan Railway Bureau. The application and promotion of the system will greatly advance the maintenance and management level of the engine locomotive.

Opening windows in coach buses is a practical approach to improving natural ventilation and mitigating infection risk(IR).Due to human behavior and weather conditions,the intermittent window opening strategy(IWOS)is a more common practice than keeping windows constantly *** its prevalence,there are no studies exploring IWOS specifically in *** employed indoor-outdoor coupled CFD simulations to assess the effects of various IWOS on pathogen-laden droplet(PLD)dispersion and IR in a coach bus that occurred a COVID-19 outbreak in Hunan,*** reveal that after ventilating through two skylights for 600–1800 s,opening front and rear windows(FW+RW)or FW with a wind catcher(FW+WCH)for just 40 s can reduce PLD concentration(Cave)to 5%of its initial level and the intake fraction of the infector’s neighbor(IFn)drops by 95%.Upon closing FW+RW or FW+WCH,Cave and IFn take over 580 s to return to the pre-opening ***,intermittent FW opening halves Cave and IFn within 7 min,but leads to rapid increases upon window ***,opening FW+RW and FW+WCH intermittently have pronounced impacts on indoor PLD concentration and are applicable approaches to control respiratory disease transmission in *** to the inhaled viral dose,it is recommended to open windows when driving time is over 12 minutes to reduce infection *** scenarios like epidemiological surveys and risk assessments,where assessing passenger infection risk is vital,some behaviors of opening windows cannot be overlooked and necessitate extra attention.

Based on the basic requirements of the marine diesel engine safety monitoring and characteristics of intelligent control technology, a set of the scientific and rational technical solutions, the general principles of the structure and the feasible hardware and software of the safety monitoring system for marine diesel engine are presented in the paper. By MCU control technology and RS485 communications technology, the modular design, the accuracy display, the high degree automation, the high precision control, and the easy maintenance are achieved. The prototype of developed of the safety monitoring system for marine diesel engine is verified on the bench test, and its functional specifications meet the design technical requirements.

The advancement of millimeter-wave communication technology heralds new sensing capabilities. By leveraging channel multipath parameter estimates, we can harness simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) for precise user equipment (UE) localization and radio map construction in 6 G communication systems. Particularly in multi-UE scenarios, SLAM empowers base stations to amalgamate the local radio maps of various UEs efficiently. This study introduces a novel Bayesian framework specifically designed for multi-UE SLAM, complemented by a tailored factor graph. We also unveil a two-stage multi-UE SLAM algorithm. Our simulation results reveal that this algorithm substantially enhances radio map construction accuracy by 4 8. 5 % and UE localization accuracy by 13.5 %, outperforming single-UE cases. Moreover, the algorithm demonstrates remarkable adaptability to environmental changes, showcasing its potential for long-term evolution in dynamic settings. © 2024 IEEE.

Due to the fire effect, a frame underpass bridge had suffered a huge damage in Changjiang road in Harbin in the direction to Acheng. One span of the bridge was burned in large area, parts of which were burned badly. Many adjacent beams turned black at bottom of roofs;parts decoration of side wall were damaged to some extent. As a result, both directions of the traffic were disrupted, causing traffic jams. To make sure of repairing and restoring the traffic during the shortest period, Harbin municipal committee established the Changjiang road rescue headquarters. Under the precondition of utmost to save money and ensure that the repaired underpasses technology standards meet the design requirements, the research group were about to use steel plate or carbon fiber sheet as the reinforcing material, after detecting and identifying the bridge damage. Through a comprehensive consideration for the ascension of normal section bearing capacity of two reinforcing materials, pasting carbon fiber sheet was adopted to complete repair reinforcement scheme. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications.

Based on analysis of crack problem of chamber wall ship lock expansion project in Jiepai province,the related research of countermeasures have been made,to solve the cracks occurs in the *** countermeasure of cracks are analysed by monitoring internalexternal temperature and shrinkage stress of chamber *** is provided that the rational measures could make less cracks occur,including fiber lattice with curing of insulation and moisture materials and optimization of proportion mix.A series of investigations are carried out insitu and prove countermeasures of cracking control *** paper states the technical details and developing of inner temperature and shrinkage in chamber wall by adopting above measures.
