In this paper, an intensive research was made into the OPC technology and the OPC Data access specification, then the application of OPC communications in the supervisory system of marine electrical propulsion was proposed to achieve data exchange between the field control station and operator station. The OPC Server was used to collect the state and key parameters of the control system, and the OPC client communication program was realized in the Delphi7.0 IDE, thus completing the supervisory and management of entire marine electrical propulsion system. Experimental results showed that the client has improved considerably in timeliness and satisfied the requirements of ship electric propulsion supervisory system which was more flexible and extensible.

Based on the basic requirements of the marine diesel engine safety monitoring and characteristics of intelligent control technology, a set of the scientific and rational technical solutions, the general principles of the structure and the feasible hardware and software of the safety monitoring system for marine diesel engine are presented in the paper. By MCU control technology and RS485 communications technology, the modular design, the accuracy display, the high degree automation, the high precision control, and the easy maintenance are achieved. The prototype of developed of the safety monitoring system for marine diesel engine is verified on the bench test, and its functional specifications meet the design technical requirements.

Most of the existing algorithms of vehicle rear-end collision have poor adaptive, high false alarm and missed alarm rates. A two-level early warning model based on logic algorithm of safe distance is discussed. The influence of road conditions, driver status and vehicle performance on the warning distance of rear-end collision in the driving process is analyzed. And for different driving conditions, a warning algorithm of vehicle rear-end collision based on neural network with adaptive threshold which can adapt to different status of the three main elements, human-vehicle-road is proposed. Also the comparison of the warning distance whether using adaptive strategies for the rear-end collision algorithm through changing the real-time status of human-vehicle-road is *** result of the simulation shows that the algorithm proposed is self-adaptive to the warning distance and region, and the feasibility of the algorithm is verified.

With ac drive system holding dominant status in marine application field, an energy-fed high-capacity AC drive experimental system was proposed for testing different ac drive systems and offsetting the shortcomings of home and abroad drive systems. The system is made up of load subsystem and tested drive subsystem, which resolved the replacement of tested drive subsystem. The load subsystem applies torque control and implements steady and dynamic performance test. Experimental data indicate that the system fulfils the testing requirement of the marine ac drive system. © 2010 IEEE.

To get the engine speed information fast and accurately for the automotive fault diagnosis is of great significance. In view of the shortcomings and inconvenience of the traditional rotate speed measurements of engine, the mathematical relationship between the basic frequency of vibration signal and the rotate speed has been analyzed. And the basic frequency extraction principle and specific approaches have been discussed. Based on Lab VIEW, the data acquisition system employs the short-time signal processing technique to pick the basic frequency of vibration signal. A highly precise and less expensive new algorithm which is easy to implement is proposed. It combines wavelet transform, Fourier technology and autocorrelation function, and testified by experiment. The results show that the error rate of the algorithm is less than 1% and the accuracy and robustness of the algorithm meet the measurement requirements. Therefore, the algorithm is of great practical value. © 2010 IEEE.

This paper has designed a distributed monitoring and diagnosis system of engine locomotive. Diagnosis Unit which collecting the real-time parameter data such as GPS information and on-line diagnosis messages for locomotive diesel engine, is installed in each locomotive. It transmits data to the Data Transfer Station via GPRS module. Meanwhile, the Data Transfer Station is used as FTP server on Internet for the Diagnostic Center mining. Authorized clients can get the comprehensive diagnosis conclusion of each locomotive though the website visit of the Diagnostic Center. This system has been finished in the laboratory, and a model system has been established in the Wunan Locomotive Depot, Wuhan Railway Bureau. The application and promotion of the system will greatly advance the maintenance and management level of the engine locomotive. © 2010 IEEE.

Aiming at the problem that traditional bus body frame structure design does not take into account the problem of constraint function uncertainties, the reliability of bus body frame structure with several random variables was analyzed. Three-dimension spatial frame structure system is established by spatial beam element. The static response of structural system is analyzed by using the stochastic finite element method, and the main failure modes are identified by using the branch-and-bound method. The correlation coefficients of failure modes safety margins are calculated by linearization research of safety margin functions of the main failure modes, and the reliability of bus body frame structural system is evaluated by PNET method. Calculation example results indicate the method is close to the practical working condition and has high calculate precision, provides theory foundation for the reliability optimal design of bus body frame structure system. © 2010 IEEE.
