Music source separation, the process of extracting independent audio streams from a complex mix, has traditionally focused on isolating vocals, drums, bass, and other primary sources. This study tackles the more intricate task of separating the piano component from a piano concerto-a challenge compounded by the diverse range of instruments and the dynamic shifts in volume and timbre. Unlike traditional music separation tasks, the piano's distinct characteristics and its interaction with the orchestra demand a more nuanced *** address the scarcity of multi-track recordings for piano concertos, this research pioneers an artificial data synthesis strategy to create a robust training dataset. We introduce a novel hybrid deep learning model that integrates Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks with Transformer architecture, capitalizing on their complementary strengths to distinguish piano melodies from the rich tapestry of orchestral sounds. Our experiments demonstrate that this hybrid approach significantly outperforms conventional methods, with an improvement of 3.18 dB in signal-to-distortion ratio. These results not only validate the efficacy of proposed method but also pave the way for innovative applications in classical music source separation. © 2024 IEEE.

Virtual Reality Head-Mounted Display (HMD), also known as VR glasses, is a typical amusement device that provides an immersive viewing experience based on virtual reality technology in cultural tourism equipment. Various factors may cause users to experience different degrees of sensory discomfort when using VR head-mounted displays, posing potential safety risks during performances. This study focuses on typical VR glasses used in cultural tourism performances and evaluates user comfort as the primary indicator. Through subjective evaluation experiment design, it examines the impact of motion conditions, internal scene settings, and VR glasses configuration on users' comfort perception. The research aims to provide theoretical analysis and experimental data to reduce performance safety risks. © 2024 IEEE.

This study addresses the motion control issues of a guiding quadruped robot and proposes a novel data-driven approach for blind path recognition and tracking. The proposed approach consists of two parts, including blind path recognition and robot tracking control. In terms of visual principles, the guiding quadruped robot identifies blind paths based on color using the Otsu threshold segmentation algorithm, combined with Canny edge detection and Hough transform for precise positioning of the blind path. Next, this study presents a model-free adaptive control method utilizing a dynamic linearization technique to follow the identified blind path. The controller is configured with a pseudo partial derivative (PPD) parameter. The proposed method enables accurate recognition and tracking of blind paths by the robot, thereby achieving precise following of blind paths by the guiding quadruped robot. The control aspect of the proposed method relies on a model-free strategy, eliminating the requirement to establish an exact mathematical model of the guiding robot during the controller design process. Instead, the controller can be achieved solely using input and output data of the robot. The proposed method was applied to a real guiding quadruped robot experimental platform, and the experimental results demonstrated a 96.24% accuracy in blind path recognition and an average deviation angle of 0.17 degree in tracking control. The effectiveness of this approach has been validated. © 2024 IEEE.

Random bit generators are critical for information security,cryptography,stochastic modeling,and *** and scalability are key challenges faced by current physical random bit ***,we propose a massively parallel scheme for ultrafast random bit generation towards rates of order 100 terabit per second based on a single micro-ring resonator.A modulation-instability-driven chaotic comb in a micro-ring resonator enables the simultaneous generation of hundreds of independent and unbiased random bit streams.A proof-of-concept experiment demonstrates that using our method,random bit streams beyond 2 terabit per second can be successfully generated with only 7 comb *** bit rate can be easily enhanced by further increasing the number of comb lines *** approach provides a chip-scale solution to random bit generation for secure communication and high-performance computation,and offers superhigh speed and large scalability.

Analyzing the timbre characteristics of different singing genres is an important issue in the field of singing acoustics. Formants are an important characteristic parameter for timbre perception, but classical acoustic formant extraction methods lack accuracy and applicability in the analysis of singing genres. In order to solve the problem of insufficient accuracy and applicability of singing formants in singing genre analysis, this paper proposes a singing formant extraction method based on peak fitting. The paper summarizes the theory and methods of extracting vocal formants and based on a large amount of experimental data analysis, proposes a vocal formant feature extraction method based on peak fitting;The effectiveness of the singing formant extraction method based on peak fitting was verified through comparative experiments with existing formant algorithms. This article provides new research ideas and methods for extracting acoustic features in singing. © 2024 IEEE.

As an integral component of modern cultural works, the role of film and television music in artistic expression and emotional communication has become increasingly significant. Timbre, as a crucial attribute of music, has primarily been studied in terms of the influence of its fundamental objective parameters on coarse-grained emotions. However, there is a lack of in-depth exploration of the association between timbre perception features and fine-grained emotion. Consequently, this paper approaches from the perspective of timbre perception features and fine-grained emotions in film and television music. By conducting perceptual evaluation and subjective emotional annotation experiments, it analyzes the correlation between timbre perception features and fine-grained emotions, confirming that timbre perception features significantly influence musical emotions. Furthermore, a multivariate linear regression model was employed to construct a fine-grained emotion prediction model, which has demonstrated good predictive ability for most musical emotions. This research provides a new perspective on understanding the relationship between timbre and emotion in film and television music, offering a scientific basis for its creation and performance. © 2024 IEEE.

The integrated sonar and communication (ISC) system plays an important role in smart ocean engineering, owing to its convenience in environmental perception and communication. The characteristics of the integrated signal and the signal processing methods are critical to the ISC system's performance. Orthogonal chirp division multiplexing (OCDM) signal is considered as a potential integrated signal due to its robustness in communication as well as excellent detection performance. However, insufficient bandwidth and subcarrier spacing can significantly degrade the performance of OCDM-based ISC system due to the severe Doppler expansion of the underwater acoustic (UWA) channel. In this paper, we introduce the dictionary theory into the multicarrier signal design and propose a new Dictionary-theory-based orthogonal chirp division multiplexing (Dic-OCDM) signal. We consider the chirp signal as the basis function. The geometric transformation in structure dictionary design is implemented to rearrange the basis function, resulting in the dictionary-theory-based discrete Fresnel transform (Dic-DFnT) matrix. The Dic-DFnT matrix is regarded as the modulation matrix of Dic-OCDM and provides a larger subcarrier spacing without requiring additional bandwidth. Besides, a Dic-OCDM based ISC system is designed, and corresponding signal processing methods for detection and communication are given. Simulation and lake experiment results attest to the effectiveness of our proposed Dic-OCDM-based ISC system for underwater active detection and communication. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

The food additive titanium dioxide is commonly utilized to enhance the appearance and flavor of food ***,this substance has been linked to gastrointestinal *** aim of this study was to investigate the impact of dietary exposure of titanium dioxide E171 on Listeria monocytogenes infection in *** were mainly divided into the control,LM group(*** infection),and E171+LM groups(E171 supplementation before *** infection).Pre-exposure to E171 resulted in increased bacterial counts in the liver,spleen,ileum,colon,mesenteric lymph nodes,and feces of mice after *** ***,E171 exposure increased the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines while attenuating the levels of anti-inflammatory cytokines in mice infected with ***,mice in the E171+LM group exhibited considerably more severe colonic inflammation and worse intestinal barrier function than mice in the LM *** 16S rRNA gene sequencing revealed a shift in the composition of the gut microbiota of mice in the E171+LM group,characterized by a decrease in the relative abundance of Firmicutes and a decrease in the Firmicutes-to-Bacteroidetes *** levels of acetate,butyrate,and isobutyrate were markedly decreased within the cecum of mice in the E171+LM group in comparison to mice in the LM *** conclusion,these results suggest that E171 exposure could exacerbate *** infection in mice,which may provide useful information for future risk assessment of this commonly used food additive.

Deterministic Event-Based Physical Watermarks Against Replay Attacks in Cyber-Physical Systems

Cyber-physical systems (CPSs) are of great importance in various applications and have garnered significant attention. Ensuring their security is a crucial concern, while this paper focuses on the security of CPSs against replay attacks during the transmission of sensor measurements over a wireless network. It is widely recognized that incorporating physical watermark signals is an effective approach to mitigate replay attacks. However, traditional physical watermarks are time-based and result in a notable degradation in the performance of Linear Quadratic Gaussian systems. With this in mind, a novel event-based physical watermarking technique is devised to address the performance degradation and detect replay attacks. The approach involves a deterministic physical watermark schedule that utilizes the innovation sequence to determine whether to incorporate physical watermarks or not. We provide evidence that the probability of successfully embedding physical watermarks increases when the system is targeted by malicious attacks. Additionally, we demonstrate that the deterministic event-based watermarking approach is more effective than the traditional time-based watermarking method. Finally, simulation examples are included to validate and illustrate the theoretical results. © 2023 IEEE.
