Although large language models (LLMs) trained on extensive multilingual corpora exhibit impressive language transfer, they often fail to respond in the user's desired language due to corpus imbalances, an embarrassingly simple problem known as the language confusion. However, existing solutions like in-context learning and supervised fine-tuning (SFT) have drawbacks: in-context learning consumes context window space, diminishing attention as text lengthens, while SFT requires extensive, labor-intensive data collection. To overcome these limitations, we propose the language-sensitive intervention (LSI), a novel, lightweight, and label-free approach. Specifically, we analyze language confusion from a causal perspective, revealing that the training corpus's language distribution acts as a confounder, disadvantaging languages that are underrepresented in the dataset. Then, we identify a language-sensitive dimension in the LLM's residual stream, i.e., the language vector, which allows us to estimate the average causal effect of prompts on this dimension. During inference, we directly intervene on the language vector to generate responses in the desired *** further advance research on this issue, we introduce a new benchmark that detects language confusion and assesses content quality. Experimental results demonstrate that our method effectively mitigates language confusion without additional complex mechanisms. Blockchain-Enabled Secure, Fair and Scalable Data Sharing in Zero-Trust Edge-End Environment

In edge computing, the Zero-Trust Security Model (ZTSM), as a key enabling technology for next-generation networks, plays a crucial role in providing authentication for addressing data sharing concerns, such as frequent data breaches, data misuse, and cyberattacks. However, due to the complexity and diversity of edge environments, ZTSM struggles to meet the security requirements of data sharing frameworks solely through enhanced authentication. Consequently, such frameworks with ZTSM still face challenges in ensuring data integrity, evaluating various node behaviors, and coping with the increasing complexity of node attributes. To address these issues, we propose a blockchain-enabled secure, fair and scalable data sharing framework in a zero-trust edge-end environment in this paper. Specifically, we first propose a Merkle forest-based data storage model for the classified storage of loosely coupled data, consequently enhancing the scalability of the model. Then, we design a node behavior-based reputation assessment mechanism to ensure fairness during data sharing. Moreover, a data sharing protocol supervised by smart contract is proposed, working with the aforementioned storage and assessment schemes, to ensure the security of data sharing. Finally, comprehensive security analysis validates the security, fairness and scalability of the proposed framework. Extensive experimental results show that, as transaction volume grows, the time cost of data traversal in the storage model becomes progressively more efficient. Additionally, when the size of the smart contract is increased tenfold, the maximum time cost of the data sharing protocol rises by only 4.98 times. © 1983-2012 IEEE.

Due to their significant application in reducing algorithm depth, fSim gates have attracted a lot of attention. However, during the implementation of quantum gates, fluctuations in control parameters and decoherence caused by the environment may lead to a decrease in the fidelity of the gate. Implementing an fSim gate that is robust to these factors in one step remains an unresolved issue. In this paper, we propose a one-step implementation of a nonadiabatic geometric fSim gate composed of a nonadiabatic holonomic controlled-phase (cp) gate and a nonadiabatic noncyclic geometric iswap gate with parallel paths in a tunable superconducting circuit. Compared to the composite nonadiabatic geometric fSim gate composed of a nonadiabatic holonomic cp gate and a nonadiabatic geometric iswap gate, our scheme takes only half the time and demonstrates robustness to parameter fluctuations, as well as to environmental impacts. Moreover, the scheme does not require complex controls, making it very easy to implement in experiments, and can be achieved in various circuit structures. Our scheme may provide a promising path toward quantum computation and simulation.

By establishing a mathematical model, the intelligent RGV scheduling scheme is optimized to design an efficient and stable intelligent RGV simulation scheduling system. This paper studies two different situations, including whether there is a fault in a process. Using the combination of high response ratio priority scheduling algorithm and simulated annealing algorithm, the process conditions including two or more process package faults are established, an intelligent RGV simulation scheduling algorithm based on simulated annealing is proposed, and the general intelligent RGV simulation scheduling system model is established. At the end of the paper, the failure of the two processes is also analyzed, and similar solutions can be given on the basis of this paper. © 2021 IEEE.

This paper mainly studies the change rule of center temperature of welding zone in backwelding furnace under different set temperature and transfer rate conditions, and searches for appropriate temperature and rate to obtain the optimal furnace temperature curve. Different infinite length plate models were established for the small temperature region and interval respectively, and the heat transfer of each part was considered according to Fourier heat law and Newton cooling law, and the equation about the temperature change with time was constructed based on the law of energy conservation. © 2021 IEEE.

In recent years, spiking neural networks (SNNs) have gained significant attention in visual recognition tasks due to the low computational energy. However, most SNNs have a large number of parameters, which limits their use on resource-limited devices. In this paper, we propose an Ensemble Binary Spiking Neural Network (EB-SNN) for accurate and memory-friendly visual recognition. The EB-SNN is modeled by Ensemble Binary Weights (EBW) module, which integrates multiple binary weights for lightweight SNN modeling. Meanwhile, we propose Knowledge Alignment Strategy to ensure that the EB-SNN can approximate a well-trained SNN for good performance. Experimental results show that the EB-SNN can achieve accuracy of 95.39% on CIFAR10, using 9.3% memory of full-precision SNN. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Class-incremental learning (CIL) aims to learn a series of tasks sequentially, each introducing several new categories. Because providing the task labels during inference can significantly increase accuracy, many approaches attempt to predict task labels in CIL. However, existing works focus on learning local information and overlook the importance of global information. The absence of global guidance leads to the formation of information silos across disparate tasks, resulting in potential inter-task interference. To break information silos, we propose a method called Global Guided Task Prediction (GGTP) to introduce global information. Our method consists of two modules. The local de-redundant module aims to reduce information redundancy across different tasks from a global perspective. We combine dual encoders and feature decorrelation loss to effectively reduce redundancy while minimizing catastrophic forgetting. The global information module explicitly extracts global information to serve as auxiliary information guiding task prediction. We extract the most important information from all local information through a global encoder and then aggregate them to form global information. Extensive experiments validate the effectiveness of our method, which achieves state-of-the-art results. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Network topology construction is one of the basic means to study the target network. Whether it is the discovery of vital nodes, IP location or network characteristics mining, a complete and accurate network topology is needed. In this paper, a regional network topology construction algorithm based on sampling measurement is proposed to solve the problem of high time cost and resource waste of existing algorithms. Firstly, multiple vantage points located inside and outside the target area are selected to form a probing set. Then the IPes of the target area is extracted based on sampling to form the target IP set. Finally, the probing set is used to probe the target IP set periodically. The network topology of the target region was constructed based on the results of a 40-day internet measurement and compared with the existing database. The experimental results show that the coverage rate of routing nodes in the target area is improved by more than 90% compared with the measured data provided by CAIDA (Center for Applied Internet Data Analysis) and by more than 10% compared with the measured data provided by IPIP. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
