Security and privacy are among the most crucial issues for data transmission in telemedicine systems. This paper proposes a solution for securing wireless data transmission in telemedicine systems, i.e. within a body sensor network (BSN), between the BSN and server as well as between the server and professionals who have assess to the server. A unique feature of this solution is the generation of random keys by physiological data (i.e. a biometric approach) for securing communication at all 3 levels. In the performance analysis, inter-pulse interval of photoplethysmogram is used as an example to generate these biometric keys to protect wireless data transmission. The results of statistical analysis and computational complexity suggest that this type of key is random enough to make telemedicine systems resistant to attacks.

A discrete total variation calculus with variable time steps is presented for mechanico-electrical systems where there exist non-potential and dissipative forces. By using this discrete variation calculus, the symplectic-energy-first integrators for mechanico-electrical systems are derived. To do this, the time step adaptation is employed. The discrete variational principle and the Euler-Lagrange equation are derived for the systems. By using this discrete algorithm it is shown that mechanico-electrical systems are not symplectic and their energies are not conserved unless they are Lagrange mechanico-electrical systems. A practical example is presented to illustrate these results.

For Dubois rough fuzzy sets, the membership of the lower or upper approximations is defined as the elements memberships' infimum or supsmum in equivalent class. As a result of not considering the elements whose memberships are between the minimum and maximum, some useful information of these elements may be lost in the information processing. The paper presents a new operator of rough fuzzy sets that every element's membership in equivalent class is taken into account. Based on the new operator, algebra properties are put forward and rough fuzzy membership is defined. Moreover, the paper presents accurate degree, classified quality, dependence degree and attribute reduction algorithm. At last, an example proves that the algorithm is efficient.

Based on the fractal theories, using image processing software (IPS) to handle the scan electron microscope photos of particles, this paper gives a simple and applied method to pick up the boundary line's fractal dimension (FD) of particles' projective numerical images. Take example for Al(OH)3 material particles, adopting respectively relative Box-counting (BC) method and relative C-S method, we have calculated the boundary FD values of the research objects and compared FD with other quantitative token parameters, which shows FD is a sort of more refined quantitative token parameter. Finally, utilizing the method of Generator, we get some fractal figures which have nearly same FD values with Al(OH)3 material particles, utilizing that we can simulate and analyze the complexity of the boundary and surface micro-topography of Al(OH)3 material particles.

The well-known Generalized Champagne Problem on simultaneous stabilization of linear systems is solved by using complex analysis and Blonders technique. We give a complete answer to the open problem proposed by Patel et al., which automatically includes the solution to the original Champagne Problem. Based on the recent development in automated inequality-type theorem proving, a new stabilizing controller design method is established. Our numerical examples significantly improve the relevant results in the literature.

In this paper Mei symmetry is introduced for a nonconservative system. The necessary and sufficient condition for a Mei symmetry to be also a Lie symmetry is derived. It is proved that the Mei symmetry leads to a non-Noether conservative quantity via a Lie symmetry, and deduces a Lutzky conservative quantity via a Lie point symmetry.
