DNA self-assembly that is fast developed in the fields of DNA computing and nano technology has become the focus of scientific fields. DNA self-assembly is a method that uses the characteristics of base-pair to form polyhedron or super molecular structure. This is a complex progress from disordered to ***, from simple to complicated. This paper mainly introduces that the DNA self-assembly technology is applied into the image encryption. In this paper, we proposed a complete design scheme of DNA tiles that is suitable for the image encryption. The DNA tiles mainly include five types, namely DNA tiles of the plaintext, DNA tiles of the encryption, DNA tiles of the cipertext, DNA tiles of the key and DNA tiles of the decryption. Through a simulate example, the effect of the image encryption algorithm is shown.

With the fast development of Internet technology and information processing technology, the image is commonly transmitted via the Internet. People enjoy the convenience and shortcut, but people have to face to the obsession that the important image information in transmission is easily intercepted by unknown persons or hackers. In order to enhance the image information security, image encryption becomes an important research direction. An image encryption algorithm based on DNA sequences for the big image is presented in this paper. The main purpose of this algorithm is to reduce the big image encryption time. This algorithm is implemented by using the natural DNA sequences as main keys. The first part is the process of pixel scrambling. The original image is confused in the light of the scrambling sequence is generated by the DNA sequence. The second part is the process of pixel replacement. The pixel gray values of the new image and the one of the three encryption templates are generated by the other DNA sequence are XORed bit-by-bit in turn. The experimental result demonstrates that the image encryption algorithm is feasible and simple. Through performance analysis, this algorithm is robust against all kinds of attacks and owns higher security.

In the system of the PV grid-connected generation, because of the dispersion of the PV panel, difference of the sun radiation condition and the shadow of a part of the PV panel, they will cause the serious loss of energy for the parallel PV panel. In order to overcoming energy loss and raise the efficiency of the PV system, a new maximum power point tracking method called distributed variable step duty ratio perturb method is put forward. The distributed MPPT method overcomes the shortcomings to generate electricity quantity to descend because of the dispersion of the PV panel. The variable step duty ratio perturbing method speed quickly and is more suitable for this kind of distributed generation system. The hardware adopts DC/DC electric circuit to regulate PWM duty ratio. The software adopts TMS320-2812. An example is given to show that this method is able to realize distributed MPPT. In addition, the calculation speed of the approach is quick, accuracy of the approach is better, and the system has a high stability. © 2010 IEEE.

Body area networks (BANs) are emerging as one of the main research trends in recent years, particularly in the area of personal health monitoring. Since health data are private and sensitive information, the security of data transmission within a BAN becomes a critical issue that requires immediate attention. In this paper, we attempt to examine possible attacks of the resource-constrained BANs and present state-of-the-art communication protocols, cryptographic methods, and key management schemes that are useful for BANs security. We will also discuss the problems of existing solutions and possible future research directions on security for BANs. A novel biometric method that utilizes the biological channels (biochannels) to assist secure information transmission within a BAN will also be highlighted and discussed.

3D mesh segmentation based on boundary strength

In this paper, we present a novel and fast algorithm for 3D meshes segmentation based on the geometric information of boundary. Firstly, according to the topological relationship of original mesh faces, we construct the dual graph, and set the weight of vertex and edge on the basis of geometric information of mesh faces. Using the k-way multilevel cutting method, we segment the dual graph quickly to obtain the pre-segmentation and initial boundary for each patch. Then we define the boundary strength function and the feature boundary of each patch, to construct a deformation contour on the patch's boundary. By minimizing the energy of the deformation contour, the initial boundary is driven to approach the feature boundary. Finally, the original mesh is segmented into several meaningful patches in accordance with the minimal rule. The experiment results suggest that our algorithm is efficient and effective, and is applicable to a variety of triangular mesh models with prominent shape features. © by Institute of Software, the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Intuition process is a very essential in the product creative design stage. A new creative design approach is put forward based on product gene and intuition models. The product gene model and its sequential gene manipulation are established. The intuition process reflects that the thinking of human brain produces qualitative change. An approach of intuition simulation is used by Hebb learning law, Hopfield neural networks and crossover and mutation. The calculating models and the calculating formulas for the creative design are put forward. Finally, this essay offers us the applied examples for creative design of solar energy portable lamp. The better results are obtained in the creative design.

With the wide use of online social networks (OSNs), the problem of data privacy has attracted much attention. Several approaches have been proposed to address this issue. One of privacy management approaches for OSN leverages a key management technique to enable a user to simply post encrypted contents so that only users who can satisfy the associate security policy can derive the key to access the data. However, the key management policies of existing schemes may grant access to unauthorized users and cannot efficiently determine authorized users. In this paper, we propose a collaborative framework which enforces access control for OSN through an innovative key management focused on communities. This framework introduces a community key management based on a new group-oriented convergence cryptosystem, as well as provides an efficient privacy preservation needed in a private OSN. To prove the feasibility of our approach, we also discuss a proof-of-concept implementation of our framework. Experimental results show that our construction can achieve the identified design goals for OSNs with the acceptable performance.

On the basis of linear discriminate analysis (LDA) algorithm, this paper proposes a new subspace approach called as local LDA(LLDA), which pays more attention to the separability of neighbor classes. The graphic embedding is then applied to offer a better understanding of LLDA. Aiming at the (SSS) problem in LLDA, the paper proves that the conventional principle component analysis(PCA) preprocessing approach for LDA is not suitable for the proposed LLDA algorithm. Then, the paper presents an improved LLDA algorithm named as scatter-difference LLDA(SLLDA), which can not only solve the SSS problem in LLDA but also provide good comparability between LLDA and LDA. Experimental results on the PolyU palmprint database illuminate the effectiveness of the proposed SLLDA and the importance of the local relationship between sample classes for classification.
