There are many subsystems that require thermal management for pure electric vehicles, and their thermal impact mechanism is complex. Establishing a multi task model and comprehensively optimizing the parameters and architecture of the vehicle thermal management system is of great significance for reducing energy consumption and increasing driving range of pure electric vehicles. Taking the opportunity to participate in the development of a pure electric vehicle in a certain company, Firstly, this article constructs a vehicle dynamics model and a component model of the vehicle thermal management system based on the actual vehicle parameters, vehicle dynamics theory, and bench test data. Using the national standard CLTC-P cycle working condition as the testing standard, the accuracy of the model is verified, and a control strategy for the thermal management system is designed to complete the dynamic model construction of the vehicle thermal management system;Secondly, based on GB/T 18386.1-2021, the energy flow and temperature data were analyzed and compared to verify that the constructed model has high accuracy in terms of energy consumption performance of the entire vehicle under low temperature conditions and temperature control of key components;Finally, the energy consumption problem of PTC heating the battery pack is optimized and simulated using the ambient temperature threshold strategy, as well as the thermal management architecture. The results show that under this strategy, the driving range of the entire vehicle has been improved in low-temperature economic tests;The optimized thermal management architecture is more energy-efficient. © 2023, The Authors. Distributed Optimization by Network Flows with Spatio-Temporal Compression

Several data compressors have been proposed in distributed optimization frameworks of network systems to reduce communication overhead in large-scale applications. In this paper, we demonstrate that effective information compression may occur over time or space during sequences of node communications in distributed algorithms, leading to the concept of spatio-temporal compressors. This abstraction classifies existing compressors as spatio-temporal compressors, with their effectiveness described by constructive stability criteria from nonlinear system theory. Subsequently, we apply these spatio-temporal compressors to standard continuous-time consensus flows and distributed prime-dual flows, establishing conditions ensuring convergence. Additionally, we introduce a novel observer-based distributed primal-dual continuous flow integrated with spatio-temporal compressors, which provides broader convergence conditions. These continuous flows achieve exponential convergence to the global optimum when the objective function is strongly convex and can be discretized using Euler approximations. Finally, numerical simulations illustrate the versatility of the proposed spatio-temporal compressors and verify the convergence of algorithms. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Sensing is the fundamental technique for sensor data acquisition in monitoring the operation condition of the machinery,structures,and manufacturing *** this paper,we briefly discuss the general idea and advances of various new sensing technologies,including multiphysics sensing,smart materials and metamaterials sensing,microwave sensing,fiber optic sensors,and terahertz sensing,for measuring vibration,deformation,strain,acoustics,temperature,spectroscopic,*** on the observations from the state of the art,we provide comprehensive discussions on the possible opportunities and challenges of these new sensing technologies so as to steer future development.

The induced draft (ID) fan is a significant piece of auxiliary equipment in thermal power plants. An early detection of possible faults in the ID fan may be used for effective predictive maintenance, thereby reducing the overall maintenance cost and improving the reliability and availability of thermal power plants. This paper proposed a genetic algorithm and long-short term memory network (GA-LSTM)-based condition monitoring approach using normal operation data of the ID fan. Furthermore, the LSTM network and the sliding window technique were introduced to construct double thresholds, which contains a dynamic threshold and a static threshold. The GA-LSTM-double thresholds method was applied to a coal-fired power plant to achieve early fault detection and diagnosis. The results demonstrates that the proposed method is capable of detecting minor anomalies in advance.

Preparation of Different Lights Irradiated ZnSe/GSH QDs and Their Interaction with BSA

Using L-glutathione(GSH) as a capping agent,Zn Se/GSH quantum dots(QDs) were prepared under microwave irradiation and irradiated under dark, ultraviolet light and incandescent light, respectively. The properties and interaction of different lights irradiated ZnSe/GSH QDs and bovine serum albumin(BSA) were studied systematically. The fluorescence(FL) spectra results reveal that the quenching mechanism are all the static quenching in nature. The quenching constant(Ksv) and binding constant(K) value of different irradiated Zn Se/GSH QDs and BSA all increased with the change of light types from dark to incandescent light and UV light. The number of binding site(n) is close to 1 at different temperatures. The lighting types influence the enthalpy and entropy changes. The Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) spectra indicate that the light induced GSH ligand will facilitate photocatalytic oxidation on the surface of ZnSe/GSH QDs. The circular dichroism(CD)results show that the α-helicity content of BSA decreases from 60.34%, 59.31%, to 58.79% under UV lighting,incandescent lighting and dark conditions. The interaction results of different lights illuminated ZnSe/GSH QDs with BSA by CD spectra method matches well with that by FL and FTIR spectra. That is, the interaction of ZnSe/GSH QDs and BSA from strong to weak is UV light, incandescent light and dark in sequence.

The inevitable insulation defects in dry transformers lead to the decomposition of epoxy resin into CO, HCHO, and C₂H₃Cl. To assess the operational status of such electrical equipment, this study proposes a Nb-embedded Janus WSSe (Nb-WSSe) monolayer on basis of first-principles theory as an outstanding material for typical gas detection. It is found that Nb-WSSe monolayer shows chemisorption towards three gas molecules, with largely tuned electronic property. The charge density difference, band structure, density of states and work function of the gas adsorbed systems are well-analyzed, and the sensing mechanism of Nb-WSSe monolayer for exploration of the resistive and Schottky gas sensors are uncovered. The findings manifest the favorable sensitivity and selectively of Nb-WSSe monolayer for detection of three gas *** findings presented in this study hold significant value, as they possess the potential to catalyze Janus TMDCs-based novel gas sensing candidates for use within the realm of electrical engineering. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.

Sulfur corrosion induced by active sulfur has been proved to significantly decrease the insulation performance of oil-immersed equipment. In order to protect the oil-paper insulation from sulfur corrosion, active sulfur is cleared in the refining process of crude oil. Some inactive sulfur with high-efficiency antioxidant is still retained in the mineral oil to improve the oxidation stability of oil, such as thiophenic compounds. However, the corrosive effect of inactive sulfur on the oil-paper insulation has not yet clear. Therefore, thiophene that is the largest content of sulfide in the insulating oil was selected as the research object, a series of accelerated thermal ageing experiments of oil-paper without and with thiophene under the different high temperature were conducted, scanning electron microscope equipped with an energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometer (SEM/EDX) and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) were used to characterize the corrosion degree of oil-paper insulation. The results show that no corrosive deposit was observed on the surface of oilpaper insulation without thiophene even at very high temperature, while a few corrosive deposit was accumulated on the surface of oil-paper insulation with 500 mg/kg thiophene. The corrosion degree of oil-paper insulation with thiophene had an uptrend as the increase of temperature (130°C-180°C), preliminarily indicating that thiophene may be activated in the oil-paper system under the action of overheating fault of oil-immersed transformer and posed a corrosion threat to oil-paper insulation. © 2020 IEEE.

Urban agriculture, the cultivation, processing and distribution of plants and animals within urban or suburban boundaries, is becoming an increasingly relevant strategy to enhance food safety for urban residents. With the rapid urbanization in the past decades, three forms of urban agriculture have emerged in China: small-scale, capital-intensive, and tourism-type. Each form presents unique benefits and challenges, and their development has been largely shaped by the local socio-economic context and government policies. The benefits of urban agriculture are numerous including the improvement of community cohesion, promotion of physical health, enhancement of environmental sustainability, and creation of new economic opportunities. However, it also faces many challenges such as land availability, capital shortage, market access, and governmental support. This review summarized the benefits of urban agriculture and its current limitations and challenges, and proposed strategies to overcome these hurdles in China based on successful examples in the Global North. Four specific recommendations were provided to promote urban agriculture in China: integration of urban agriculture into cities, solutions for land and resource use, government support and reactions, as well as planning and regulations. Adoption these recommendations is expected to result in healthier cities and a more robust agricultural system in China. © 2024 The Author(s)

Synthesis of Agomelatine by One-pot Catalytic Hydrogenation and Acetylation with NiO

Nano-NiO and bulk NiO were prepared from Ni(AC)_2·4 H_2O by coordination precipitation using aqueous ammonia and by a solid state reaction, respectively. The nickel oxide particles were characterized by X-ray Diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The results indicate that nano-sized NiO has a crystal phase with a standard face-centered cubic lattice structure, with a mean particle diameter of about 10 nm. The evaluation of the activity of nickel oxide nanoparticles in the catalytic hydrogenation of 7-methoxy-1-naphthylacetonitrile was carried out. The results demonstrate the efficient synthesis of the title compound by a one-pot catalytic hydrogenation and acetylation with NiO. The NiO nanoparticles displayed superior catalytic activity in the synthesis of agomelatine in the one-pot *** total yield of agomelatine is over 81.8% with a purity of 99.2%, as determined by HPLC. The structure of agomelatine was confirmed by IR, MS, and 1 H NMR analysis.

Large-scale deep variable load of thermal power units will increase the hidden trouble of auxiliary equipment failure. Timely detection of minor faults and early warning are conducive to the safe operation of units. With the large-scale deep variable load of units, the operating conditions of auxiliary equipment also change in a large range, and the operating parameters fluctuate in a large range, which directly affects the accuracy of fault early warning algorithm based on operation data. In order to solve this problem, this paper uses a multivariate state estimation technique (MSET) algorithm for fault early warning. Firstly, the cluster method is used to divide the operating conditions of units, and process memory matrix is constructed under different operating conditions for modeling and calculation. The simulation results show that compared with the traditional method using one process memory matrix this method significantly improves the accuracy of fault early warning. © 2019 IEEE.
