Integrated design and performance optimization of three-electrode sliding discharge plasma power supply

The three-electrode sliding dielectric barrier discharge(TES-DBD) plasma actuator significantly enhances the ionization rate and momentum exchange between charged particles and neutral particles by incorporating a parallel DC electrode into the standard DBD design. This design improves the body force and induced jet velocity while allowing flexible control of the induced jet angle, overcoming the limitations of discharge extension and uncontrollable direction in traditional DBD plasma actuators. An integrated plasma power supply has been designed specifically for TES-DBD plasma actuators, streamlining the power supply management. The methodology involves designing the circuit topology for the TES-DBD power supply, followed by simulating and validating its operating principles using Multisim software. The operational performance of the power supply is evaluated through a comprehensive analysis of its electrical,thermal, and aerodynamic properties specific to TES-DBD plasma actuation.

Single-view 3D human reconstruction has been a hot topic due to the potential of wide applications. To achieve high accuracy, existing works usually take computationally intensive models as backbone for exhaustive underlying features and then directly estimate human mesh vertices. These factors lead to redundant parameters, large calculations and low efficiency, while lightweight solutions to address these challenges are relatively scarce. In this work, based on the problems studied above, we propose a keypoints-guided lightweight network with an encoding-decoding framework. As the input is an image, a lightweight backbone named multi-stage and global feature enhanced network is designed for 2D encoding, where some operations of multi-scale fusion and frequency domain filtering are performed to extract more informative but low-resolution features. As the output is mesh of human body, we construct a keypoints-based 3D human template, with which the 2D low-resolution features can be mapped to 3D space to guide the 3D decoding with high efficiency and high accuracy. Extensive experiments on popular benchmarks 3DPW and Human3.6M illustrate the favorable trade-off between the accuracy and complexity of our method. While existing flow-based models have the potential for data enhancement and intelligent fault diagnosis of bearings, these methods are mainly based on the time domain to learn features. In general, time-domain and frequency-domain features are important for recognizing faults. Especially, the spectral features in the frequency domain can reveal highly distinct patterns associated with fault types. Therefore, learning spectral feature helps to obtain comprehensive fault information and achieve high fault diagnosis accuracy. In this work, a spectral flow model framework is developed to learn and generate realistic data from mechanical sensor signals. The performance of fault diagnosis under unbalanced data is improved by learning the information contained in the spectral features, which are utilized to generate insufficient fault data. Experimental results show that the present method can generate a large number of samples with higher similarity and better diversity on the bearing dataset. The generated samples may be used to expand the limited dataset and significantly improve the accuracy of the bearing fault diagnosis task. © 2024 IEEE.

Model and Simulation of Multipath Error in DLL for GPS Receiver

Although different multipath error models of Delay lock loop (DLL) used in GPS receiver are established, they have never been put together for comparison. Furthermore, no universal simulation method is developed to get a fair comparison among these models. A new model with implicate expression is hence proposed for the coherent DLL and the noncoherent Dot-product (DOT) power mode DLL. Meanwhile, a new simulation method based on the anonymous function in Matlab, which is especially suitable for models with implicit expression, is also proposed to compare the new model with the existing ones. The theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the existing models are the special case of the proposed one. The new simulation method can be used for the comparison of different multipath error models and the multipath error analysis of other DLLs for which only the implicit model is available.

A High-Quality View Synthesis system for Sparse Rgb-D Input

Recent research in neural rendering has achieved impressive results in the field of novel view synthesis. However, high-quality view synthesis with sparse source views remains a challenging task, as the reduction in the number of source views significantly degrades the synthesis quality. In this paper, we present a novel view synthesis system that exploits RGB-D pairs from sparse source views. First, we introduce a two-branch feature extraction network to embed the geometric clues from depth maps into the texture information of color images and fuse it with regularized Fourier mapping features. Second, a distance-aware feature query method, which constructs multi-level feature maps, is proposed to ensure high-fidelity details across different distance views. Then, we apply an occupancy network to perform occupancy prediction on raw point cloud. By integrating occupancy probabilities and extracted features, we use a prediction network with geometric information as an additional input to obtain the color and density of sampled points, and synthesize the target view using neural volume rendering. To prevent model degradation and enhance efficiency, we design an efficient sampling strategy based on Gaussian Mixture Model. Moreover, we introduce pixel-wise local regularization and full-image global geometric regularization to optimize the model. Extensive experiments show that the proposed method can achieve the state-of-the-art results for novel view synthesis with sparse inputs, and the model performance has been significantly improved in different scenarios. © 2024, The Authors. Modeling of GPS Code and Carrier Tracking Error in Multipath

The code tracking error model of coherent Code tracking loop (CTL) is modified since existing model cannot accurately describe the characteristic that the code tracking error is determined by multipath and correlator spacing in multipath. The noncoherent DOT-product (DOT) power mode CTL is established as a comparison with different CTLs in multipath. Besides, the carrier tracking error model is modified based on the established code tracking error models, which indicates that the carrier tracking error is also determined by the multipath and the correlator spacing. The presented error models indicate that the correlation between the code tracking error and carrier tracking error can be decorrelated. Theoretical analysis shows that the noncoherent DOT power mode CTL is essentially coherent when the discriminator output of carrier tracking loop is zero. The influence of multipath and correlator spacing on CTL and carrier tracking loop is analyzed by simulations.

The scarcity of fault samples presents a significant challenge for fault diagnosis in industrial processes. Conventional methods often fail to deliver satisfactory results when dealing with small sample sizes. In addressing the issue of small sample fault diagnosis in industrial processes, this paper utilizes the Variational Mode Reconstruction(VMR) algorithm to screen the best components decomposed by the Variational Mode Decomposition(VMD) through the envelope entropy then random weighting them and signal reconstruction to achieve data enhancement, to enrich the sample size and to prevent the model overfitting phenomenon due to the scarcity of samples. Meanwhile, this paper integrates Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Long Short-term Memory Neural Network (LSTM) to propose a network model of spatio-temporal feature fusion for feature extraction and classification. The experiments demonstrate that this model not only enhances data diversity but also ensures consistency before and after enhancement, effectively mitigating overfitting. Furthermore, it guarantees high recognition and generalization rates in fault diagnosis. © 2024 IEEE.

To enhance the estimation accuracy and dynamic performance of sensorless surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM) drives, a sensorless control scheme based on generalized super-twisting observer (GSTO) and non-smooth controller is proposed. Firstly, a GSTO for back electromotive force (back-EMF) estimation is proposed. Compared with the conventional super-twisting observer, the GSTO has a faster convergence rate and stronger robustness due to the additional terms. Then a linear extended state observer (LESO) is adopted to estimate the position, speed, and lumped disturbance at the same time. Moreover, a non-smooth composite speed controller is designed by combining the disturbance feed-forward compensation. Compared with the conventional PI speed controller, the non-smooth controller has a shorter settling time and a better disturbance rejection ability. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by simulation results. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.
