Global Navigation Satellite systems (GNSS) can provide real-time positioning information for outdoor users, but cannot for indoor scenarios or heavily occluded outdoor scenarios. Strap-down Inertial Navigation System (SINS) are widely used to locate people in complex interior or heavily occluded outdoor scenarios due to its light weight and low power consumption. However, IMU of SINS are noisy, and the sampling data error is large, which is a divergence of the error with time. Therefore, it will generate a positioning accumulation error, which affects the final positioning accuracy. The problem of cumulative IMU errors is usually dealt with by Zero-Velocity Update (ZUPT). The zero-velocity detection part of basic ZUPT method usually uses a single threshold to determine the gait of pedestrian, which often has the problem of gait misjudgment and omission. To address these problems, this paper proposes a composite conditional detection method to solve the problem of misjudgment in the zero-velocity interval. In addition, we redesign the zero-velocity update algorithm and uses the Cubature Kalman filter (CKF) for pedestrian positioning error correction. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed ZUPT method based on dual-threshold detection can better detect the interval between pedestrian motion and stationery than ones with single threshold. The zero-velocity update algorithm based on CKF has higher performance than conventional EKF and UKF methods, which constrains the cumulative error of SINS to about 0.2% of the whole walking distance.

Geomagnetic data is vital for predicting earthquakes and magnetic storms. In this regard, a new Bayesian exponential regularized tensor completion framework for sparse geomagnetic data, i.e. BERTC, is proposed to address this problem in the study. First, the spatiotemporal geomagnetic data is reshaped into a 3D tensor with days and hours that features random missing elements. Second, a Gibbs sampling algorithm is developed to achieve probabilistic inference on matrices' factors and corresponding parameters in this model. Thus, the sparse tensor can be gradually optimized to fill the missing entries during iterations. Third, an exponential regularizer is proposed to reduce oscillations before and after iterations to enhance imputation quality further. Finally, the derived factor matrices are aggregated from Gibbs sampling to complete the sparse tensor. Numerical geomagnetic datasets from 13 cities are employed, and extensive comparison experiments are conducted to evaluate the imputation performance of the BERTC. The results show the superiority of the proposed BERTC compared to the state-of-the-art methods in terms of imputation accuracy, with an approximate improvement of the imputation accuracy as no less than 20%.

Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) in millimeter wave is a key enabler for next-generation networks, which leverages large bandwidth and extensive antenna arrays, benefiting both communication and sensing functionalities. The associated high costs can be mitigated by adopting a hybrid beamforming structure. However, the well-studied monostatic ISAC systems face challenges related to full-duplex operation. To address this issue, this paper focuses on a three-dimensional bistatic configuration that requires only half-duplex base stations. To intuitively evaluate the error bound of bistatic sensing using orthogonal frequency division multiplexing waveforms, we propose a positioning scheme that combines angle-of-arrival and time-of-arrival estimation, deriving the closed-form expression of the position error bound (PEB). Using this PEB, we develop two hybrid beamforming algorithms for joint waveform design, aimed at maximizing achievable spectral efficiency (SE) while ensuring a predefined PEB threshold. The first algorithm leverages a Riemannian trust-region approach, achieving superior performance in terms of global optima and convergence speed compared to conventional gradient-based methods, but with higher complexity. In contrast, the second algorithm, which employs orthogonal matching pursuit, offers a more computationally efficient solution, delivering reasonable SE while maintaining the PEB constraint. A symplectic space wave propagation method is proposed for the forced vibration of the Acoustic Black Hole (ABH) assemblies. The governing differential equations for vibration of the ABH beam is first converted into Hamiltonian canonical equations. A symplectic eigenvalue problem is then formed, and the wave propagation parameters and wave shapes are obtained analytically. Secondly, A Gaussian point scheme is subsequently used to discrete the ABH beam, while the presented method is used to evaluate the wave amplitude at each point. Various coupling forms are considered for the ABH assemblies, in which the ABH beams are coupled directly or through a joint. The wave propagation method based on symplectic analysis is used to describe the vibration of ABH beams and the finite element method is used to describe the vibration of the joint. By using the displacement continuity and equilibrium of force at the connection interface, the dynamic coupling between the ABH beam and the joint is established. Since the presented method utilizes symplectic analytical solutions of wave modes, the computational efficiency and precision are high that are verified by several numerical examples. © 2023, The Authors. One of the key concerns in today's steel business is how to effectively save energy and reduce emissions, since the concepts of green environmental preservation, energy conservation, and emission reduction are deeply ingrained in people's hearts. Fuel ratio is a key parameter in blast furnace steelmaking. Identifying the factors that influence the fuel ratio and being able to model and predict it can greatly help in guiding the stable operation of the blast furnace, reducing fuel ratio, saving energy, and cutting emissions. In this paper, the fuel ratio mechanism of blast furnace is analyzed, and the parameters affecting the fuel ratio are initially selected. Subsequently, the parameters with the highest correlation to the fuel ratio are identified using the maximum correlation coefficient method. A CNN-LSTM-Attention-based fuel ratio prediction model was developed, and its accuracy and efficacy were demonstrated through comparison with three other models.

In this article, we introduce a time-delay approach to gradient-based extremum seeking (ES) in the continuous domain for n-dimensional (nD) static quadratic maps. As in the recently introduced (for 2D maps in the continuous domain), we transform the system to the time-delay one (neutral type system). This system is $\mathbf{O}(\varepsilon)$ . ‘perturbation of the averaged linear ODE system. We further explicitly present the neutral system as the linear ODE, where $\mathrm{O}(\varepsilon)$ -terms are considered as disturbances with distributed delays of the length of the small parameter $\varepsilon$ . Quantitative (for uncertain map) and qualitative (for unknown map) practical stability analyses are provided by employing a variation of constants formula that greatly simplifies the results compared to the previously used Lyapunov-Krasovskii (L-K) method. The new approach also simplifies the conditions and improves the results. Examples from the literature illustrate the efficiency of the new approach, allowing essentially large uncertainty of the Hessian matrix with bounds on $\varepsilon$ that are not too small.

Metamaterials can satisfy the demand for lightweight and multifunctional structures. In this study, we propose a double hollow-square-frustum-core sandwich meta-structure (meta-DHSFCSS) for vibration isolation. The out-of-plane compressive performance of the sandwich meta-structure specimen is experimentally and numerically studied. The bandgap in the band structure for out-of-plane vibration of the meta-DHSFCSS is numerically computed and verified by the frequency-domain and time-domain responses and vibration test. Parameter study is performed on the meta-DHSFCSS to investigate the effects on the structural compressive performance and vibration isolation property. The maximum load-mass ratio exceeds 283 N/g and the maximum SEA reaches 2000 kJ/kg. These two indexes are dramatically better than those of certain previous studies. The meta-DHSFCSS has a wide bandgap for vibration isolation. Gradient design and waveguide design are introduced to the meta-DHSFCSS supercell. Its vibration isolation property is improved. The locational and directional transmission of the elastic wave can be achieved by the rainbow trapping effect of gradient meta-DHSFCSS and the waveguides with different transmission routes. These demonstrate the great application of the meta-DHSFCSS in elastic wave manipulation. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Extensive experiments suggest that motor coordination among human participants may contribute to social affinity and emotional attachment, which has great potential in the clinical treatment of social disorders or schizophrenia. Mirror game provides an effective experimental paradigm for studying social motor coordination. Nevertheless, the lack of movement richness prevents the emergence of high-level coordination in the existing one-dimensional experiments. To tackle this problem, this work develops a two-dimensional experimental paradigm of mirror game by playing waggle dance between two participants. In particular, an online control architecture of customized virtual player is created to coordinate with human player. Therein, an iterative learning control algorithm is proposed by integrating position tracking and behavior imitation with prescribed kinematic feature. Moreover, convergence analysis of control algorithm is conducted to guarantee the online performance of virtual player. Finally, the proposed control strategy is validated by matching experimental data and compared with other control methods using a set of performance indexes. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. In this study,the wave propagation properties of lattice metamaterials with Koch fractal structures are investigated in terms of band structures and directional wave *** analytical models of lattice metamaterials are established using the finite element method,and the dispersion relation is solved using the Bloch’s *** band structures of the lattice metamaterials with different numbers of iterations are studied,and the group velocities at a selected frequency are calculated to analyze the directional wave propagation ***,dynamic responses of the finite structures are calculated using commercial finite element software to verify the band gaps and directional wave propagation behaviors in the lattice *** results show that multiple and low band gaps are present in the lattice materials with various geometric parameters of the Koch fractal,and the position of the lowest band gap decreases as the number of iterations *** results indicate the potential applications of lattice metamaterials with Koch fractals for vibration isolation and multi-functional design.
