There exist some obstacles to realize high-precision positioning with using the position differential technique due to the limiting factors. However, with the advancement of chip performance and the establishment of multiple satellite navigation systems, position differential positioning can be realized to meet the civilian high-precision positioning demand while significantly reducing costs. This paper is to explore the engineering application and propose a new method. Through the experiments and data analysis, we have found the error correlation between two receivers in a small area and designed a set of positioning system, and programmed in the Keil μVision5 in C language. The system consists of the current mainstream low-cost STM32, UBLOX NEO 6M chip, NRF24L01 chip, GPS antenna and power supply module. Each two receivers can form a differential positioning system. At present, the system in the low-speed status is, in the urban environment, basically reaching within 0.5 - 3 m of the positioning error.

For a manufacturing system, we often need to evaluate its performance under a production control policy. The purpose of performance evaluation is to optimize the parameters in the control policy. In this paper, we investigate the method of evaluating the performance of a two-product-type and multi-parallel-machine manufacturing system. In order to evaluate its performance, the key is to obtain its steady-state probability distribution under a control policy. To solve this problem, firstly, we analyze the shape of distribution domains of state variables, which influence the steady-state probability balance equation. For one of these possible shapes, we develop the steady-state probability balance equations under the prioritized hedging point (PHP) control policy. From these equations, we obtain the marginal probability distribution for each product type for a two-product-type and multi-parallel-machine system, which has the similar form as the steady-state probability distribution of a one-product-type and multi-parallel-machine system. Then, a unified form of probability balance equation is developed from all possible shapes of distribution domains of state variables. Finally, numerical experiments are conducted to verify the correctness of the proposed method of computing the probability distribution of a two-product-type and multi-machine system.

Most recently, tensor-SVD is implemented on multi-view self-representation clustering and has achieved the promising results in many real-world applications such as face clustering, scene clustering and generic object clustering. However, tensor-SVD based multi-view self-representation clustering is proposed originally to solve the clustering problem in the multiple linear subspaces, leading to unsatisfactory results when dealing with the case of non-linear subspaces. To handle data clustering from the non-linear subspaces, a kernelization method is designed by mapping the data from the original input space to a new feature space in which the transformed data can be clustered by a multiple linear clustering method. In this paper, we make an optimization model for the kernelized multi-view self-representation clustering problem. We also develop a new efficient algorithm based on the alternation direction method and infer a closed-form solution. Since all the subproblems can be solved exactly, the proposed optimization algorithm is guaranteed to obtain the optimal solution. In particular, the original tensor-based multi-view self-representation clustering problem is a special case of our approach and can be solved by our algorithm. Experimental results on several popular real-world clustering datasets demonstrate that our approach achieves the state-of-The-Art performance. Copyright © 2017, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Compressive phase retrieval via reweighted amplitude flow

The problem of reconstructing a sparse signal vector from magnitude-only measurements (a.k.a., compressive phase retrieval), emerges naturally in diverse applications, but it is NP-hard in general. Building on recent advances in nonconvex optimization, this paper puts forth a new algorithm that is termed compressive reweighted amplitude flow and abbreviated as CRAF, for compressive phase retrieval. Specifically, CRAF operates in two stages. The first stage seeks a sparse initial guess via a new spectral procedure. In the second stage, CRAF implements a few hard thresholding based iterations using reweighted gradients. When there are sufficient measurements, CRAF provably recovers the underlying signal vector exactly with high probability under suitable conditions. Moreover, its sample complexity coincides with that of the state-of-the-art procedures. Finally, substantial simulated tests showcase remarkable performance of the new spectral initialization, as well as improved exact recovery relative to competing alternatives. Facing the demand of the efficiency and safety of drilling process, it is necessary to find the optimal drilling trajectory in the complex geological environment. To solve this multi-objective optimization problem, non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II (NSGA-II) is applied. And Linear sum weighted method is applied at the same time for comparison. Firstly, the numerical model of a sidestracking horizontal well trajectory is established by nature curve method. Constraints subjected to engineering conditions and objective functions are discussed. Then, as decision parameters, the build rate and the turn rate are optimized. Finally, optimal solutions distributed on the Pareto front uniformly are obtained.

This paper addresses the problem of regulating the output voltage of a DC-DC buck-boost converter feeding a constant power load, which is a problem of current practical interest. Designing a stabilising controller is theoretically challenging because its average model is a bilinear second order system that, due to the presence of the constant power load, is non-minimum phase with respect to both states. Moreover, to design a high-performance controller, the knowledge of the extracted load power, which is difficult to measure in industrial applications, is required. In this paper, an adaptive interconnection and damping assignment passivity-based control-that incorporates the immersion and invariance parameter estimator for the load power-is proposed to solve the problem. Some detailed simulations are provided to validate the transient behaviour of the proposed controller and compare it with the performance of a classical PD scheme. Copyright © 2017, The Authors. This paper presents a real-time and unsupervised advancement scheme (RUAS) for underwater machine vision in the natural light condition. RUAS consists of three steps, pre-searching, restoration, and post-enhancing. In pre-searching, we provide a Protected and Greedy Artificial Fish School Algorithm (PGAFSA) to optimize the key parameters of the underwater images, and design an evaluating indicator for the PGAFSA based on the features of underwater images. During the restoration, an image degeneration model is built and the Wiener Filter is employed for noise suppression. Moreover, a filtering-aided color correlation method (FCCM) is then presented against color absorption caused by water. The contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization is employed for the contrast stretch in post-enhancing. Finally, we validated the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed RUAS with deep-sea environmental videos and practical underwater environments.

In this paper, a Q-learning based algorithm is developed to optimize energy consumption in an office, where solar energy is introduced as the renewable source and a battery is installed as the control unit. The energy consumption in the office, regarded as the energy demand, is divided into those from sockets, lights and air-conditioners. First, the time series of real-time electricity rate, renewable energy, and energy demand are modeled by echo state networks as periodic functions. Second, given these periodic functions, a Q-learning based algorithm is developed for optimal control of the battery in the office, so that the total cost on energy from the grid is reduced. Finally, numerical analysis is conducted to show the performance of the developed algorithm.

This paper we investigates the problem of stability and bifurcation of fractional-order financial system time-delay via the Lyapunov stability judgment method and application of impulse control method. Finally, a numerical simulation example is provided to verify the effectiveness and the benefit of the proposed stability and bifurcation criterion.
