A compound-structure permanent-magnet synchronous machine (CS-PMSM), which integrates two PMSMs, is a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) power train concept. In order to meet the requirement of wide speed range of HEV, an axialaxial flux CS-PMSM with a new mechanical method of varying air gap to fulfill field-weakening control and to improve the operating speed range is investigated. The field-weakening principle of the axial-axial flux CS-PMSM with varying air gap is analyzed. The electromagnetic performances with air gaps varying are evaluated by 3D finite-element method (FEM). The principle of selecting original air gap is proposed with comprehensive consideration. The field weakening capability by varying air gap is evaluated based on the comparison with two other electric methods.

The leader-following output consensus problem of multi-agent systems (MAS) is studied in this paper. Each agent is modeled by a single-input single-output (SISO) system which can be further described by a controllable and observable linear state space model. An observer is constructed to estimate the agent's state, and the estimated state is shared with neighbor agents via the noisy communication channels. Similar to the previous work, in the proposed protocol a time-varying gain is employed to attenuate the noise's effect. However, in this paper, each agent is allowed to have its own time-varying gain. Some sufficient conditions on the time-varying gain are given for ensuring the consensus in the mean square sense. Finally, a simulation example is presented to verify the theoretical results.

Images taken by different sensors at different time instant with different resolutions are formulated by state space models, and are fused by use of Multiscale Kalman Filter(MKF). The effectiveness of the presented algorithm is shown by comparing it with the wavelet based method through experiments, where four performance measures are used. The performance evaluation indices are the root mean square errors(RMSE), the information entropy(Entropy), the space frequency(SF) and the space visibility(SV). Theretical analysis and experimental results show the effectiveness of the presented algorithm.

Experiments on periodic, unsteady compressible flow in a sonic nozzle with heat addition were reported. This unsteady flow is caused by the condensation of water vapor in the sonic nozzle which will affect the flow rate of the sonic nozzle. A dimensional analysis for the essential effect factors of unsteady flow frequency was carried out. An experimental system including a sensor for pressure oscillation monitoring was built. The experimental results agree well with the simulation and semi-empirical formula. Both the sensor and experimental results can be used to further study the effect of unsteady flow due to the condensation of water vapor on the flow rate of the sonic nozzle.

Traffic control is an effective and efficient method for the problem of traffic *** complex urban traffic networks,it is necessary to design a high-level controller to regulate the traffic *** the parallel control framework for complex traffic networks,we design a demand-balance MPC controller based on the MFD-based multi-subnetwork model,which can optimize the network traffic mobility and the network traffic throughput by regulating the input traffic flows of the *** transferring traffic flows among subnetworks are indirectly controlled by the demand-balance MPC controller,and a global optimality can be achieved for the entire traffic *** simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed controller in improving the network traffic throughput.
