This paper considers the coordinated welding control based on deep multi-agent reinforcement *** discrete-time states and actions with local observation for the welding robots and the characteristics of the weld lines(e.g.,the starting points of the weld lines and the ending points of the weld lines) are defined,which is suitable to use the monotonic value function factorisation for deep multi-agent reinforcement learning(QMIX) algorithm.A novel reward composed of trajectory optimization,collision avoidance and the task done is designed,which is proved by the simulation in the grid-world environment.

A Unified NOMA Framework in Beam-Hopping Satellite Communication Systems

This paper investigates the application of a unified non-orthogonal multiple access framework in beam hopping (U-NOMA-BH) based satellite communication systems. More specifically, the proposed U-NOMA-BH framework can be applied to code-domain NOMA based BH (CD-NOMA-BH) and power-domain NOMA based BH (PD-NOMA-BH) systems. To satisfy dynamic-uneven traffic demands, we formulate the optimization problem to minimize the square of discrete difference by jointly optimizing power allocation, carrier assignment and beam scheduling. The non-convexity of the objective function and the constraint condition is solved through Dinkelbach’s transform and variable relaxation. As a further development, the closed-from and asymptotic expressions of outage probability are derived for CD/PD-NOMA-BH systems. Based on approximated results, the diversity orders of a pair of users are obtained in detail. In addition, the system throughput of U-NOMA-BH is discussed in delay-limited transmission mode. Numerical results verify that: i) The gap between traffic requests of CD/PD-NOMA-BH systems appears to be more closely compared with orthogonal multiple access based BH (OMA-BH);ii) The CD-NOMA-BH system is capable of providing the enhanced traffic request and capacity provision;and iii) The outage behaviors of CD/PD-NOMA-BH are better than that of OMA-BH. Exponential Synchronization of Chaotic Lur'e Systems using Sampled-Data PI control

In this paper, an exponential synchronization design method for chaotic Lur'e systems is developed. Firstly, a sampled-data based proportional-integral (PI) type controller is used in the slave system to achieve the synchronization. Next, the synchronization problem of the chaotic Lur'e system is transformed into the stabilization problem of the synchronization error system. Then, by introducing virtual vectors for reconstruction, a new augmented error system is obtained. As a result, the synchronization design based on sampled-data PI type controller can be achieved using the existing sampling system method. And based on this, a criterion for exponential synchronization design is obtained using the Lyapunov functional method. Finally, the effectiveness of the developed method is demonstrated by numerical example.

Adaptation Via Proxy: Building Instance-Aware Proxy for Unsupervised Domain Adaptive 3d Object Detection

LiDAR-based 3D detectors perform well on particular autonomous driving benchmarks, but may poorly generalize to other domains. Existing 3D domain adaptive detection methods usually require annotation-related statistics or continuous refinement of pseudo-labels. The former is not always feasible for practical applications, while the latter lacks sufficient accurate supervision. In this work, we propose a novel unsupervised domain adaptive framework, namely Adaptation Via Proxy (AVP), that explicitly leverages cross-domain relationships to generate adequate high-quality samples without any target statistics, thus mitigating domain shifts for existing LiDAR-based 3D detectors. Specifically, we first train the detector on the source domain with curriculum example mining to enhance its generalization capability. Then, we fine-tune the pre-trained detector on the instance-aware proxy that is a data collection with stronger supervision. The instance-aware proxy utilizes the profitable instances from the source domain to provide more robust supervision for optimizing the detector to overcome domain gaps. Note that AVP is architecture-agnostic thus it can be easily injected with any LiDAR-based 3D detectors. Extensive experiments on Waymo, nuScenes, KITTI and Lyft demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method over the state-of-the-art approaches for different adaptation scenarios. © 2023, The Authors. Aiming at the ore blending problem in the open-pit mining scenario, the optimization objective is to minimize the grade variance of the sliding window of the ore flow, and a cooperative shovel scheduling model for real-time ore blending is established. A reinforcement learning-enhanced dynamic multi- objective evolutionary algorithm is proposed, where a Q-learning operator selection mechanism is introduced to reuse the information from the previous environment for tracking the optimal solution in the dynamic environment. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively control the grade fluctuation of the ore flow and dynamically respond to external events, and can find a better solution in real time compared with the traditional operator selection algorithm.

An enhanced algorithm for cell-level anomaly segmentation in photovoltaic solar panels using electroluminescence imaging

Electroluminescence imaging is a crucial diagnostic tool for assessing the quality and performance of photovoltaic (PV) modules. However, current research often focuses on defect detection in PV modules, neglecting the need for detailed segmentation at the individual cell level. To address the limitations of existing methods in recognizing complex defects and suppressing background noise, this paper proposes a novel semantic segmentation algorithm (CAAK-Net), capable of identifying anomalies at the cell level of photovoltaic panels. To enhance network performance, CAAK-Net uses K-Net as a baseline and incorporates the Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM), Attention Refinement Module (ARM), and Atrous Spatial Pyramid Pooling (ASPP) modules. Experimental results comparing CAAK-Net with mainstream segmentation networks demonstrate its superior segmentation performance, particularly in recognizing defect edges and small-area attached defects. Additionally, we establish a quantitative correlation model between detection errors and PV system efficiency losses, pioneering the translation of pixel-level segmentation accuracy into measurable operational costs, thereby providing an economic assessment framework for industrial PV inspection. Furthermore, the network exhibits a certain degree of robustness in noisy environments, showcasing its segmentation advantages in diverse defect scenarios.

Sequential weak measurements allow for the direct extraction of individual density-matrix elements, rather than relying on global reconstruction of the entire density matrix, which opens a new avenue for the characterization of quantum systems. Nevertheless, extending the sequential scheme to multiqudit quantum systems is challenging due to the requirement of multiple coupling processes for each qudit and the lack of appropriate precision evaluation. To address these issues, we propose a resource-efficient scheme (RES) that directly characterizes the density matrix of general multiqudit systems while optimizing measurements and establishing a feasible estimation analysis. In the RES, an efficient observable of the quantum system is constructed such that a single meter state coupled to each qudit is sufficient to extract the corresponding density-matrix element. An appropriate model based on the statistical distribution of errors is utilized to evaluate the precision and feasibility of the scheme. We have experimentally applied the RES to the direct characterization of general single-photon qutrit states and two-photon entangled states. The results show that the RES outperforms sequential schemes in terms of efficiency and precision in both weak- and strong-coupling scenarios. This Letter sheds new light on the practical characterization of large-scale quantum systems and the investigation of their nonclassical properties.

Enhancing Robustness: Multi-Stage Adjustable Scheduling of Oxygen Systems in Steel Enterprises Under Demand Uncertainty

In steel industries, oxygen demands are generally uncertain due to unpredictable disturbances in steel production, which seriously impacts system safety. Conventional static oxygen scheduling exhibits excessive conservativeness and limited robustness. Thus, we propose a Multi-Stage Adjustable Robust Scheduling method for oxygen systems that can adaptively address uncertain demands over time. To achieve this, we first establish an oxygen system scheduling model that integrates multiple load-adjustment modes of the air separation unit to improve responsiveness. We divide the scheduling time horizon into multiple stages, and for each stage, we design a data-driven uncertainty set that captures the most critical uncertainty distribution interval with low conservativeness. We also design computationally efficient recourse decisions using a few additional variables. These designs upgrade the deterministic oxygen scheduling model to a computationally tractable Multi-Stage Adjustable Robust Scheduling model that can dynamically adjust evaporators and emissions to address observed uncertainty promptly. We demonstrate the superiority of the proposed model using real data of an oxygen system. Compared to conventional oxygen scheduling, the adjustable robust scheduling improves the ability to handle uncertainty at least three-fold and saves cost, thereby enhancing system robustness and while reducing conservativeness. The designed recourse decisions greatly improve solution efficiency by two orders of magnitude. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

With the rapid development of distributed photovoltaic (PV), it is necessary to study its low-cost output identification technology. In this paper, a low-cost PV output identification method is proposed by using feature extraction. This paper analyzes the high-precision bus data, and uses harmonic analysis, wavelet analysis and Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition (EEMD) to extract the operating features of PV output. Then this paper screens these extracted features with the correlation between features and PV output, the stability of the features at different times and the difference of features in different signals. The appropriate features are selected for PV output identification, and its identification accuracy is calculated. The experimental results show that with the method of the Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition, an appropriate operating feature can be extracted. This feature can identify the distributed PV output in small bus bar when the PV is working stably. © 2020 IEEE.

This paper investigates the cooperative output regulation (COR) of nonlinear multi-agent systems (MASs) with long input delay based on periodic event-triggered mechanism. Compared with other mechanisms, periodic event-triggered control can automatically guarantee a Zeno-free behavior and avoid the continuous monitoring of triggered conditions. First, a new periodic event-triggered distributed observer, which is based on the fully asynchronous communication data, is proposed to estimate the leader information. Second, a new distributed predictor feedback control method is proposed for the considered nonlinear MASs with input delay. By coordinate transformation, the MASs are mapped into new coupled ODE-PDE target systems with some disturbance-like terms. Then, we show that the COR problem is solvable. At last, to further save the communication resource, a periodic event-triggered mechanism is considered in the sensor-to-controller transmission in every agent. A new periodic event-triggered filter is proposed to deal with the periodic event-triggered feedback data. The MASs with input delay are mapped into coupled ODE-PDE target systems with sampled data information. Then, Lyapunov-Krasovskii functions are constructed to demonstrate the exponential stability of the MASs. Simulations verify the validity of the proposed results. © 2024, CC BY-NC-ND.
