Crowd counting problem aims to count the number of objects within an image or a frame in the videos and is usually solved by estimating the density map generated from the object location annotations. The values in the density map, by nature, take two possible states: zero indicating no object around, a non-zero value indicating the existence of objects and the value denoting the local object density. In contrast to traditional methods which do not differentiate the density prediction of these two states, we propose to use a dedicated network branch to predict the object/non-object mask and then combine its prediction with the input image to produce the density map. Our rationale is that the mask prediction could be better modeled as a binary segmentation problem and the difficulty of estimating the density could be reduced if the mask is known. A key to the proposed scheme is the strategy of incorporating the mask prediction into the density map estimator. To this end, we study five possible solutions, and via analysis and experimental validation we identify the most effective one. Through extensive experiments on five public datasets, we demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed approach over the baselines and show that our network could achieve the state-of-the-art performance. For a high energy loss and complex system of ball mill,this paper provide a ball mill load detection method based on genetic algorithm optimizing BP neural *** effective frequency range of mill sound signal is *** soft measurement model of mill load based on mill sound signal is *** order to solve the problem which converge slowly and easily reach minimal value,the global optimization of GA(genetic algorithm) local optimization of BP neural network will be combined to improve the BP neural *** with the detected mill load error generated from existing BP neural network and RBF neural network based on *** experiments results show that the proposed algorithm has better precision.

Massive multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO), with giant array size and multi-dimension array structure, has been widely considered as a key physical layer technique in future wireless communications. With regarding the large number of antenna elements, some new challenges and issues are arising, e.g. modeling the near-field effects in MIMO channel and the high computational complexity. To solve these problems, a statistical channel model is proposed based on the cluster delay line(CDL) framework. The proposed model focuses on the spherical wavefront theory, thus can be applied to the massive MIMO system. Furthermore, the map-based ray tracing algorithm with low complexity is used to compute the statistical parameters, such as pathloss, delay spread, etc., The numerical analysis results show that the proposed channel model is enable to describe the main characteristics of massive MIMO channel.

In this paper, an optimal switching data integrity attack schedule method is presented. It is assumed that an attacker is able to inject false data to partial actuators of a healthy system at each instant. Optimal switching attack represents a growing class of cyber-physical attacks that aim to damage a target system via a controlled switching of attacked units. A feedback attack law is proposed to maximize a weighted quadratic performance. Two switching conditions are designed to obtain the optimal sequence of the attacked actuators via the Maximum Principle. Finally, numerical results are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

To deal with the unsatisfactory transient response of the conventional integral sliding mode control (ISMC), A nonlinear integral sliding mode controller (NISMC) is proposed in this paper, which uses a smooth nonlinear function with “small error amplification and large error saturation” property, meanwhile, takes the limited input into account. The proposed NISMC improves the transient performance, i.e., less controller chattering and less steady error. The two-tank system is usually treated as a paradigm to test the control algorithms. Five kinds of sliding-mode control methods (SMC) are used to control the two-tank liquid level to test the performance. The simulation and experimental results show that the proposed NISMC has the superior performance as compared to the comparison methods.

Hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome （HFRS） is a rodent-borne disease caused by several serotypes of hantavirus and 90% of all reported HFRS cases occur in China. However, the dynamics of such outbreak, particularly the characteristics of two distinct annual peaks in China, are not well understood. Here, we investigate several of the biologically plausible causes for the peaks in monthly HFRS cases, and find that the key factor is the interplay between periodic transmission rates and rodent periodic birth rate. Analysis of dynamicM model reveals that vaccination plays a significant role in the control of HFRS in China. Sensitive analysis of different interventions demonstrates that integrating rodent culling and environmental management with the current vaccination program is effective for HFRS control. Our results suggest that for diseases from animals to human beings, the features of both animals and humans beings should be taken into account in the control and prevention strategies.

With the development of the electricity market, competition has been introduced in the generation side. It is the overall development trend of the electricity market reformulation to optimize the allocation of different resources through bidding. Therefore, it is significant to research the bidding strategies of the generation companies and the large consumers. This paper reviews the existing research methods of bidding strategy. According to the different market mechanisms, the market participators will choose different bidding strategies based on their own cases. We analyze the applicability of bidding strategies under the different conditions, and give suggestions on how to select bidding strategy for the different market participators under different conditions. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2017.

Surveillance is very essential for the safety of power substation. The detection of whether wearing safety helmets or not for perambulatory workers is the key component of overall intelligent surveillance system in power substation. In this paper, a novel and practical safety helmet detection framework based on computer vision, machine learning and image processing is proposed. In order to ascertain motion objects in power substation, the ViBe background modelling algorithm is employed. Moreover, based on the result of motion objects segmentation, real-time human classification framework C4 is applied to locate pedestrian in power substation accurately and quickly. Finally, according to the result of pedestrian detection, the safety helmet wearing detection is implemented using the head location, the color space transformation and the color feature discrimination. Extensive compelling experimental results in power substation illustrate the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed framework.

Trajectory generation is a prerequisite for robot control system and is divided into two regions, Cartesian space and joint space. This paper presents an approach to generate the trajectory in joint-space. This method uses normalization and transformation of the sine function to generate the desired trajectory, which is more smooth and continuous than the parabolic method in multiple time derivatives of the joint parameter. Compared with the third order polynomial method, this approach can depress the unacceptable infinite spikes in the jerk, which is the derivative of acceleration. Besides, the using of normalization in this approach is to make it more convenient and efficient be applied.

The network structure and functional properties of gene regulatory system and their relationships arc an important research field in systems biology. In this paper, a new improved model is proposed based on the study of gene expression process. The model takes into account the effect of protein concentration on the gene expression, so as to obtain a new bifurcation point and improve the performance of the system. The validity of the model is verified by theoretical analysis and data simulation.
