An adaptive distributed differential evolution algorithm is proposed based on the change of the individual's fitness value. Firstly, the initial population is divided into several subpopulations. When the migration condition is satisfied, the best individual in each subpopulation will replace the worst individual of its neighbor subpopulations according to the Von Neumann topology. The migration mechanism among subpopulations enables the information to be communicated in the whole population. Meanwhile, the adaptive mechanism of F and CR is presented for assigning different F and CR to each individual according to the individual's fitness. Numerical results show that, the proposed algorithm is beneficial to explore the solution space, which can avoid the premature convergence and search the excellent solutions.

This paper studies the robust consensus problem for second-order multi-agent systems with nonuniform time-delays and switching topologies in the presence of external disturbances, where each agent has a self-delay and each delay is independent of each other. A neighbor-based rule is used for the agents with nonuniform time-delays and external disturbances. A sufficient condition is derived under which all agents achieve consensus while satisfying desired H ∞ performance. Finally, the effectiveness of the obtained theoretical results is demonstrated through numerical simulations.

To resemble the appearance of human beings, humanoid robots should be designed with many DOFs, however, it increases the complexity of the mechanical design and the real-time control, which will make a high cost and have a poor reliability and will not fit for the application in museums or human's daily lives. In this paper, to enable the low cost and high reliability robot to interact with humans naturally and sever humans more friendly, we imported advanced technology of the Waseda's flute robot and retained the most important mechanical parts, such as the lip, lungs and the fingers for the flute playing, on this basis, some other mechanical structures were redesigned; particularly, the robot's appearance was carefully designed; in addition, we also redesigned the hardware structure using our own joint controllers and software system based on CAN bus communication for the cost saving and high reliability. The redesigned robot had just 16 DOFs. Preliminary performance test results showed that this new redesigned robot achieved in producing high quality of flute sound and high sound conversion efficiency, and the period of communication was about 4ms.

A novel second-order time-varying sliding mode control(SOTVSMC) law is proposed for the robust tracking control problem of nonlinear smooth single-input single-output(SISO) system with disturbance. The advantages of the proposed SOTVSMC are twofold. The global second order sliding mode is established, which implies that the closed-loop system is global robust against matched parameter uncertainties and disturbances. Meanwhile, the chattering problem is significantly alleviated. Then the parameter of the sliding mode is obtained by solving an optimal problem. Finally, the effectiveness and robustness of the control strategy is demonstrated by simulation results.

Time is a significant concept in distributed *** the increment of simulation system scale, working efficiency of simulation system will go down very sharply due to the restrictions of time management tactics and time sequence coupling. Therefore, it is necessary to study the characteristics of delay in simulation system to improve its working effeciency. Aiming at HLA-based distributed simulation system, causes of simulation delay is analysed and principles of delay testing is explained. A method which employs synchronization point setting and an effective wall clock time querying approach is put forward. Statistics and analysis of message interaction delay is executed on the software platform of pRTI 1.3 version. The measurement of delay lays an important data foundation for time management algorithms.

Tracking law designed for future Mars entry missions is investigated in this article. For precision landing, the nonlinear entry dynamics, complex uncertainties and input saturation constraints are unavoidable problems. Facing these challenges, the Mars entry trajectory tracking scheme via constrained multi-model predictive control (CMPC) is employed. The CMPC is made up of some constrained predictive control (CPC) in different time domain during the Mars entry mission. Each constrained predictive controller consists of a linearized prediction model (obtained by linearizing at different operating point), feedback correction for active model mismatch rejection caused by the complex uncertainties, and constrained rolling optimization for a smooth control input under a saturation constraint. Monte Carlo simulations demonstrate the effectiveness and excellence of the proposed method under the saturation constraint of input and uncertainties of initial state and aerodynamic parameters such as atmospheric density, ballistic coefficient and lift-to-drag ratio.
