Considering the electricity price’s volatility and various elements which affect the price in the electricity market, the paper presents hybrid model for the day-ahead electricity market clearing price forecasting. The paper adopts autoregressive moving average (ARMAX) model to reveal the linear relationship between power load and electricity price;the generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity (GARCH) model to reveal the heteroskedasticity properties of residual. Simultaneously the paper presents the inexactness and irrationality that modeling by the historical data long ago to forecast the price with the change of the time, then presents the rolling forecast that constantly using the latest data to modeling the ARMAX-AR-GARCH model. To reveal the nonlinear relationship between power load and electricity price, the paper adopts least squares support vector machine (LS-SVM). Using the proposed method, the day-ahead electricity prices of California electricity market are forecasted, prediction results show the efficiency of the proposed method.

In this paper, the importance of cost aggregation for belief propagation (BP) and the interaction of them are discussed. A global stereo matching algorithm based on BP with local edge detection-based cost aggregation is proposed. Firstly, a virtual closed edge is formed surrounding each pixel via second derivative operator in order to construct the adaptive window. Then, for centered pixel, local cost aggregation is calculated on support pixels in adaptive window. Finally, BP optimization algorithm is used to obtain the disparity. The experiments based on Middlebury benchmark indicate that local edge detection-based cost aggregation can do well with BP and also show encouraging results of proposed stereo matching algorithm.

With the development of smart grid, Intelligent Electronic Device (IED) will be increasingly used in substation protection, control and measurement. A kind of substation communication software for variety of IEDs is designed and implemented. This paper focuses on the overall flow of the system, function library, multithreading architecture, and the design of database. This software utilizes the Modbus TCP/IP which is an openly published, efficient, and widely used communication protocol in the industrial automation field. In order to make the system have a strong scalability, this paper also describes the implementation guide of Modbus based on IPv6. Finally, the performance of the library and the real time capability of the overall system are tested respectively, indicating that this software meets the requirements of being efficient and stable, reliable in the communication of substation.

This paper deals with global synchronization in arrays of coupled delayed Lur’e systems with nonlinear couplings, in which the interval variable delay is treated. Together with Krasovskii-Lyapunov functional method and Kronecker product technique, two novel synchronization criteria are presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) based on generalized convex combination, in which the conditions are heavily dependent on upper and lower bounds of time-delay and delay derivative. Through employing LMI in Matlab Toolbox and adjusting some matrix parameters in the derived results, we can realize the designing and applications of the coupled systems. The effectiveness of the proposed methods can be demonstrated by one numerical example with simulations.
