Fault diagnosis of bearings based on deep separable convolutional neural network and spatial dropout

Bearing pitting,one of the common faults in mechanical systems,is a research hotspot in both academia and *** fault diagnosis methods for bearings are based on manual experience with low diagnostic *** study proposes a novel bearing fault diagnosis method based on deep separable convolution and spatial dropout *** separable convolution extracts features from the raw bearing vibration signals,during which a 3×1 convolutional kernel with a one-step size selects effective features by adjusting its *** similarity pruning process of the channel convolution and point convolution can reduce the number of parameters and calculation quantities by evaluating the size of the weights and removing the feature maps of smaller *** spatial dropout regularization method focuses on bearing signal fault features,improving the independence between the bearing signal features and enhancing the robustness of the model.A batch normalization algorithm is added to the convolutional layer for gradient explosion control and network stability *** validate the effectiveness of the proposed method,we collect raw vibration signals from bearings in eight different health *** experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively distinguish different pitting faults in the bearings with a better accuracy than that of other typical deep learning methods.

This paper investigates the speed regulation control of switched reluctance motor(SRM) *** improve the antidisturbance performance of SRM,a composite non-smooth control strategy is ***,the structure of SRM is analyzed,and a simplified nonlinear model is obtained based on a segmented representation of the varying phase inductance.A virtual control function is introduced to represent the nonlinear part of the torque equation,whose inverse function is cascaded to linearized the nonlinear ***,a generalized proportional integral observer(GPIO) is constructed to estimate the lumped disturbance of the system,which is used for feedforward compensation ***,a composite speed controller is designed based on a combination of finite time proportional feedback and feed-forward compensation based on GPIO(FTP+GPIO).The speed error closed-loop system can be regarded as a first-order finite time control system with bounded *** analysis shows that the proposed scheme can improve the anti-disturbance performance of the closed-loop *** effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by simulation ***,it is compared with proportional feedback combining feed-forward compensation(P+GPIO) method and proportional integral(PI) control method.

Aiming at the problem of computational inefficiency of traditional reliability analysis methods when dealing with large-scale structural systems, this paper proposes a reliability analysis method that improves the parallel sample algorithm. The method adopts the Kriging model to fit the performance function and introduces the mean square error to evaluate the uncertainty of the sample points;In addition, the positional relationship between the sample points is taken into consideration to avoid overfitting the model;To improve the efficiency of the model fitting, the sample points are divided into multiple clusters using the Mini batch k-means clustering algorithm in parallel computation. Finally, it is verified by multiple random variable cases that the method can significantly improve the computational efficiency while guaranteeing the relative error compared with other reliability analysis methods. © The Institution of engineering & Technology 2024.

Drilling rate of penetration(ROP) optimization is crucial due to its vital role in increasing the drilling efficiency and decreasing the non-productive *** existing methods seldom pay attention to updating model parameter during drilling,which is actually important for ROP optimization under dynamical and uncertain downhole *** this paper,an online drilling ROP optimization method is proposed via three stages(drilling data pre-processing,online ROP modelling and online optimal operational parameters optimization).In the first stage,drilling data is pre-processed by resampling and Savitzky-Golay *** this,support vector regression and moving-window strategy are introduced together to establish an online ROP model in the next ***,particle swarm optimization algorithm is applied in the online ROP optimization framework to obtain the optimal operational parameters in the last *** results indicated the effectiveness of the proposed method.

In the last decade, the service of vehicular networks has benefited from the rapid development of advanced communication and computing technologies including edge computing. For vehicular network operators, it is valuable to study how to realize the accurate allocation of edge computing resource on the premise of protecting users' privacy. In this paper, we design a histogram publishing algorithm based on differential privacy. The algorithm first classifies tasks according to the characteristics of computing requests, then interferes categorized tasks and designs a shuffling algorithm based on Blum Blum Shub (BBS). Finally, the frequency histogram of computing resource is obtained by post-processing of the Expectation-Maximum (EM) algorithm. The simulation results verify the accuracy and superiority of the proposed histogram publishing algorithm by comparing it with the existing methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Building paired datasets in low-light enhancement entails significant cost and time, making such datasets precious commodities. Many researchers focus on how to enable models to learn more information from limited datasets. A prevalent strategy involves employing semi-supervised learning techniques to enhance model performance through additional unpaired images. However, one of the main challenges faced is the scarcity of a vast number of unpaired images from the same domain as the original low-light images. Consequently, we introduce a semi-supervised image enhancement method using pseudo-low-light images. Initially, we generate pseudo low-light images with less noise compared with the source domain image by the Signal-to-Noise Ratio prior and diffusion models. We then employ the Mean-Teacher network and the feature constraints of the pseudo-low-light images to realize low-light image enhancement. Comprehensive experimental results validate the efficacy of our approach on real-world datasets. © 2023 IEEE.

轴承套圈的不对中和剥落是影响齿轮-转子-轴承系统振动特性的典型误差和故障。为了研究外圈不对中和剥落对系统的耦合影响,有必要对含不对中和剥落的齿轮-转子-轴承系统振动特性进行分析。首先,考虑外圈不对中和剥落,计算了轴承的五自由度非线性恢复力。然后,基于轮齿承载接触分析(LTCA)方法,计算了啮合刚度并且建立了直齿轮副的动力学模型。在此基础上,基于切片法建立了花键的等效刚度模型。最后,通过将轴承的恢复力模型、直齿轮副的动力学模型和花键的等效刚度模型与转子系统的有限元模型耦合,建立了齿轮-转子-轴承系统的动力学模型。分析表明,只有剥落位于承载区时,才会对轴承接触力、接触角和系统振动特性产生影响。外圈的不对中导致轴承的承载区范围增大,并使得剥落对系统产生影响的概率增加。

Facial emotion recognition helps feed the growth of the future artificial intelligence with the development of emotion recognition,learning,and analysis of different angles of a human face and head *** worlds recent pandemic gave rise to the rapid installment of facial recognition for fewer applications,while emotion recognition is still within the experimental *** current challenges encountered with facial emotion recognition(FER) are the difference between background *** todays world shows us that humans soon need robotics in the most significant role of human perception,attention,memory,decision-making,and human-robot interaction(HRI) needs *** merging the head pose as a combination towards the FER to boost the robustness in understanding emotions using the convolutional neural networks(CNN).The stochastic gradient descent with a comprehensive model is adopted by applying multi-task learning capable of implicit parallelism,inherent and better global optimizer in finding better network *** executing a multi-task learning model using two independent datasets,the experiment with the FER and head pose learning multi-views co-regularization frameworks were subsequently merged with validation accuracy.

With the rapid development of smart manufacturing, existing microservice deployment strategies based on the TCP protocol tend to encounter problems such as network latency, excessive header length, and port exhaustion in high concurrency scenarios. MQTT Broker can relay data between microservices, effectively alleviating these issues. However, the communication overhead of the Broker is significantly related to its deployment and the dependency of microservices. An appropriate deployment solution can significantly improve service quality. To address this issue, this paper models the deployment of MQTT Broker and microservices as a graph with cycles. By introducing auxiliary variables, the NP-hard problem is transformed into a mixed-integer quadratic programming problem, improving problem-solving efficiency and optimizing the microservices deployment strategy to reduce communication overhead. Meanwhile, a real-world heterogeneous cluster was constructed to experiment on fault detection applications, elaborating on the superiority of the microservice deployment strategy designed in this paper. Experimental results demonstrate that our approach reduces communication overhead by 20% in comparison to both the greedy strategy and the K8s strategy. This suggests that achieving an optimal balance between the number of Brokers and microservices is vital for ensuring efficient resource utilization and maintaining low communication latency, particularly as the scale of services expands. © 2024 IEEE.

Vehicle platooning is an emerging application in transportation system, boosting safe and efficient traffic environment. Based on the vehicular wireless communication technology, the driving states of the neighboring vehicles can be obtained for accurate vehicle control. In this work, the vehicle platoon system is modeled considering random characteristics of vehicular wireless communications. The consensus-based platoon control strategy and the autoregressive filtering algorithm are designed for efficient and effective control under topology of predecessor following (PF) and predecessor leading following (PLF), respectively. The platoon control model and algorithms are implemented by Simulink, where the results verify the effectiveness of the proposed solutions. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
