Cyber-Physical-Social systems (CPSS) provides a novel perspective for constructing “Smart City”, which is also known as the Human-Machine-Things-system (HMTS), focusing on the fusion of ternary space: social network of human society, network of machines and the Internet of things. In this paper, we propose a specific implementation framework of CPSS for Smart City based on intelligent loops, including basic modeling and interactive fusion, state perception and cognition, and adaptive learning. On this basis, an overall architecture of the CPSS platform is designed, which is applied in the urban transportation management in Hangzhou. The application results demonstrate that the intelligent loop could optimize the control and management strategies for actual urban transportation.

In this paper, an observer-based adaptive Multi-dimensional Taylor network (MTN) controller is proposed for strictly feedback nonlinear systems with time-delay and unmeasurable states. MTNs are utilized to approximate the unknown and desired control input signals directly instead of the unknown nonlinear functions. Moreover, a linear state observer is designed for estimating the unmeasured states. Based on the backstepping technique, a novel adaptive MTN control strategy with simple structure and good real time property is proposed. The designed controller can guarantee all the signals of the closed-loop system are bounded and the tracking error converges to a small neighborhood of the origin. Simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

This paper proposes the social manufacturing based on Blockchain, which realizes precise and efficient customization through smart contract and distributed accounting. It is a new manufacturing mode of service-oriented, distributed and collaborative customization. This paper proposes the definition of SM based on Blockchain. In the process of using to Blockchain, it can form a strong trust relationship, so that multiple nodes / roles in SM can save the complete copy of the whole database, rather than a centralized permission / role. Secondly, the Blockchain-based SM system is developed for customized manufacturing. Finally, its application case and the optimization results are given. In SM, it is the key that how to transform customized manufacturing actions into socialized actions of manufacturing resources through internet communities and interconnect Socialized Manufacturing Resources (SMRs) in upstream and downstream. In this paper, the smart contract relationship is established based on Blockchain between SMRs to build credit mechanism in SM, Which can ensure the effective circulation and association of SMRs.

Existing face hallucination methods based on convolutional neural networks (CNN) have achieved impressive performance on low-resolution (LR) faces in a normal illumination condition. However, their performance degrades dramatically when LR faces are captured in low or non-uniform illumination conditions. This paper proposes a Copy and Paste Generative Adversarial Network (CPGAN) to recover authentic high-resolution (HR) face images while compensating for low and nonuniform illumination. To this end, we develop two key components in our CPGAN: internal and external Copy and Paste nets (CPnets). Specifically, our internal CPnet exploits facial information residing in the input image to enhance facial details;while our external CPnet leverages an external HR face for illumination compensation. A new illumination compensation loss is thus developed to capture illumination from the external guided face image effectively. Furthermore, our method offsets illumination and upsamples facial details alternately in a coarse-to-fine fashion, thus alleviating the correspondence ambiguity between LR inputs and external HR inputs. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method manifests authentic HR face images in a uniform illumination condition and outperforms state-of-the-art methods qualitatively and quantitatively. In order to address the problem of current object detection models being too large to be deployed on robot controllers, this paper proposes improvements to YOLOv5 for real-time detection. The YOLOv5s model is pruned at the Batch Normalization (BN) layer, and further optimized using the OpenVINO tool for quantization. The results demonstrate that our improvements effectively improve the model's inference speed while maintaining its accuracy. Compared to the original YOLOv5 model, the pruned model achieves the same accuracy without degradation, with a 36.6% reduction in parameter count and a 35% reduction in weight storage file size. Furthermore, after optimization with OpenVINO, the final model achieves a FPS of 56.

Internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling is a vital vitreoretinal surgery procedure. However, due to the thickness of just 1-2 micrometers and the intricacies associated with its varying density and adhesion, the difficulty of manipulation exceeds the physiological limits of human perception and operation. Surgical robot is characterized by high precision and stability. However, navigating intricate intraocular environments and handling minuscule high-precision areas remain enormous challenges. These include issues of uneven lighting, field-of-view loss, and motion blur. This paper proposed a perception method named ‘Multimodal Surgical Process Recognition based on Domain Knowledge and Segmentation (MSPR-DKS),’ designed to address these challenges and provide input for the precise control of robots. Moreover, a comprehensive dataset focused on ILM peeling during macular hole surgeries was established. Experimental results underscore the efficacy of this approach, with segmentation accuracies exceeding 99.27% for instruments and macular holes and an average accuracy of 98.97% in recognizing surgical processes. This study paves the way for leveraging domain knowledge and image segmentation to improve robot-assisted manipulation of soft tissues in ophthalmology.

Cross-subject electroencephalogram (EEG) based seizure subtype classification is very important in precise epilepsy diagnostics. Deep learning is a promising solution, due to its ability to automatically extract latent patterns. However, it usually requires a large amount of training data, which may not always be available in clinical practice. This paper proposes Multi-Branch Mutual-Distillation (MBMD) Transformer for cross-subject EEG-based seizure subtype classification, which can be effectively trained from small labeled data. MBMD Transformer replaces all even-numbered encoder blocks of the vanilla Vision Transformer by our designed multi-branch encoder blocks. A mutual-distillation strategy is proposed to transfer knowledge between the raw EEG data and its wavelets of different frequency bands. Experiments on two public EEG datasets demonstrated that our proposed MBMD Transformer outperformed several traditional machine learning and state-of-the-art deep learning approaches. Till now, most lawn is still irrigated manually or timely. That means lack of proper irrigation strategy and information management ability. However, irrational irrigation method will not only lead to unhealthy growth of lawn, but also waste of water. A new idea for lawn intelligent remote irrigation was put forward. The smart sprinkler strategy was created by researching the characters of lawn, such as water demand, heat resistance and diseases law. And the embeded control system can apply the strategy to irrigate intelligently. Tying the urban lawn features, the system was designed to be driven by solar, which makes it an energy self-sufficiency system. What's more, the sprinkler system gains the CAN bus-based network management function, which simplify the user's contol and management. Finally, the experimental results show that the system has the advantages of good effect, low cost, high reliability, easy maintenance, etc. And it will meet the demand of energy saving and environmental protection.

Simulation and analysis of temperature of aviation engine fuel system based on Flowmaster software

In order to study temperature rise of the fuel system under constant and variable speeds, based on the Flowmaster software and the Daqing RP-3, the aeroengine fuel system simulation model was established, the temperature simulation of engine was carried out, and experiment and simulation results were compared to verify the accuracy. Results showed that: the performance curve of components led to the calculation error. The maximum temperature was in the front of the main combustion chamber, up to 145℃ in some working cases, which could affect the safety of aeroengine, so the temperature of fuel must be controlled. The measure of taking fuel returning to the aircraft was useful. The temperature could not immediately achieve steady when the mass flow was instantly changed. With the rise of main combustion chamber flow, the fuel temperature declined when the returning mass flow was 0kg/s and the centrifugal pump efficiency under different working conditions was equal. The temperature also achieved steady when mass flow was at a steady state. The calculation method of fuel temperature and fuel pump is proposed for the one-dimensional simulation further research of aviation engine system level. © 2020, Editorial Department of Journal of Aerospace Power. Reinforcement learning (RL) has been widely used in decision-making and control tasks, but the risk is very high for the agent in the training process due to the requirements of interaction with the environment, which seriously limits its industrial applications such as autonomous driving systems. Safe RL methods are developed to handle this issue by constraining the expected safety violation costs as a training objective, but the occurring probability of an unsafe state is still high, which is unacceptable in autonomous driving tasks. Moreover, these methods are difficult to achieve a balance between the cost and return expectations, which leads to learning performance degradation for the algorithms. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm based on the long and short-term constraints (LSTC) for safe RL. The short-term constraint aims to enhance the shortterm state safety that the vehicle explores, while the long-term constraint enhances the overall safety of the vehicle throughout the decision-making process, both of which are jointly used to enhance the vehicle safety in the training process. In addition, we develop a safe RL method with dual-constraint optimization based on the Lagrange multiplier to optimize the training process for end-to-end autonomous driving. Comprehensive experiments were conducted on the MetaDrive simulator. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves higher safety in continuous state and action tasks, and exhibits higher exploration performance in long-distance decision-making tasks compared with state-of-the-art methods.
