Adaptive fixed-time anti-synchronization of neural networks: Potential application in active noise control

This paper discusses active noise control (ANC) through the dynamics analysis of neural networks. By designing an adaptive controller on the controlled neural network to generate a signal opposite to the noise source, the latter is considered neural networks with unknown parameters. To leave only the propagating signal sources in the channel, the controlled neural network is achieved the anti-synchronization with the unknown parameter neural network (fitted to noise source). Considering different noise environments, fixed-time control is introduced in ANC, i.e., the fixed-time stability of the error system is proved by the Lyapunov method. Since NNs-based ANC can directly obtain the anti-signal, our control scheme can significantly simplify the existing ANC scheme. Finally, a simulation example is provided to demonstrate the feasibility of the results in this paper.

Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) have been gaining popularity in recent years due to their promise of realizing the decentralized Web 3.0. However, most DAOs rely heavily on token-centric value systems as well as allocate decision-making authority and yield-sharing rights according to the held tokens, which often lead to monopolization of power and rights. To address this issue, this paper contributes to propose a truly democratic organization model, named True Autonomous Organizations and Operations (TAOs), that does not count upon tokens and is guided by principles of contribution-based and on-demand allocation. We first discuss the design of TAOs, including their infrastructures, power structures, and value systems, and then provide a technical roadmap for implementing TAOs in the DeSci context. This research can provide a valuable guidance for the construction and application of TAOs.

This paper investigates the stability of discrete-time Lur'e systems with a time-varying delay. Firstly, an extended-matrix-separated-based summation inequality is established to estimate the summation term containing the system state and the forward difference of the state. Then, an improved delay-product-type Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) is proposed, which involves the characteristics of matrices refined and the information of delay squared. By using a quadratic function negative transformation lemma based on matrix-injection, a delay-dependent stability criterion is obtained. Finally, a numerical example demonstrates the advantages of the proposed criterion.

This paper presents Management-Oriented Operating systems (M2OS) that leverages the power of parallel intelligence theory, Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) and foundation models to revolutionize the manner of management in Cyber-Physical-Social systems (CPSS). The parallel architecture on M2OS is proposed, including the parallel interactive actual M2OS and artificial M2OS. Among them, the artificial M2OSs provide digital infrastructures for organizations to operate, collaborate, and make decisions in the virtual space, and conduct computational experiments to evaluate management decisions and predict future states of the actual M2OS. Through parallel execution and closed-loop feedback between the artificial and actual M2OSs, the management and control, experimentation and evaluation, as well as learning and training of the actual M2OS can be realized. Moreover, the functional layers of M2OS, including the infrastructure layer, data layer, scenario layer, modeling layer, decision layer, and application layer, are discussed. These layers work together to support the intelligent, autonomous, collaborative, and adaptive nature of the M2OS, and facilitate data-driven decision-making, optimize business operations, and empower managers with real-time actionable insights. The proposed M2OS paradigm has great potential to transform the management paradigm and opens up new possibilities for intelligent and collaborative decision-making.

Nacre exhibits exceptional mechanical properties, which are attributed to its brick–mortar microstructure with an integration of stiff mineral platelets and soft organic interfaces. The rapidly developing 3D printing technique has been used to make nacre-inspired composites with similar brick–mortar structure. To date, however, there is still lack of a theoretical model to exactly predict the entire deformation and failure process of biomimetic nacreous composites consisting of various constituent phases with different geometric sizes. Based on a mesomechanical theoretical model, we derive the stress–strain response and macroscopic strength of the brick–mortar structure under uniaxial tension. The brick–mortar structure shows three typical failure modes, according to the occurrence of strain hardening and platelet fracture. Furthermore, we investigate how the mechanical properties of the brick–mortar structure depends on its geometry and constituent properties. It is found that increasing the aspect ratio of the platelets and the stiffness of the soft phase both enhance the strength of the brick–mortar structure. However, increasing the aspect ratio of the platelets promotes strain hardening, while increasing the stiffness of the soft phase leads to the disappearance of strain hardening. Finally, we utilize bi-material 3D printing technology to prepare biomimetic nacre samples and conduct uniaxial tensile mechanical tests, confirming the guiding significance of the theoretical model for the design of 3D-printed biomimetic nacreous composites. © 2024, The Authors. Knowledge transfer for tuning microwave filters with unknown individual differences

Improving the production efficiency of Microwave Filters (MFs) is of great practical significance for constructing modern communication systems. The characteristics of MFs are with various degrees of individual differences caused by materials. The most tuning techniques have to start from scratch for tuning different MFs, which is time-consuming. The knowledge from previous tuning processes can be used in the current tuning due to the relevance of MFs. Motivated by this, a knowledge transfer method for tuning MFs with unknown individual differences is proposed. The main contributions are threefold: 1) An Knowledge Transfer technique for Optimization Tuning (KTOT) is created to tune various MFs efficiently; 2) an Evaluation mechanism of Difference Degree (EDD) is proposed to guide transfer; 3) a Guiding strategy of Knowledge Transfer Intensity (KTIG) in accordance with the difference degree is presented to reuse knowledge reasonably. The high-efficiency of KTOT and the effectiveness of KTIG based on EDD are demonstrated.

In this paper, a novel smooth magnetron is introduced to construct a fractional memristor Hopfield neural network(fractional order M-HNN). The local stability of equilibrium point are analyzed theoretically. Taking the memristor coupling strength coefficient and the fractional order as bifurcation parameters, the phase trajectory diagram, the bifurcation diagram of the system are drawn to analyze the influence on the dynamic behavior of the neural network. When the system parameters are fixed, the hyperchaos phenomenon of the fractional order M-HNN model is revealed. Finally, the PD controller is applied to the model to enhance the stability of the system.

Based on fractional calculus theory and reaction-diffusion equation theory,a fractional-order time-delay reaction-diffusion neural network with Neumann boundary conditions is *** constructing the phase space basis based on the Laplace operator eigenvector,the system equation is linearized to obtain the characteristic ***,the characteristic equation is analyzed,and the local stability of the system at the equilibrium point is *** taking the time delay as the bifurcation parameter,the stability changes of the system at the equilibrium point and the generation conditions of the Hopf bifurcation are studied when the time delay ***,a state feedback controller is designed to control the bifurcation of the ***,the theoretical derivation is verified by numerical simulation.

Timed weighted marked graphs are a subclass of timed Petri nets that have wide applications in the control and performance analysis of flexible manufacturing *** to the existence of multiplicities(i.e.,weights)on edges,the performance analysis and resource optimization of such graphs represent a challenging *** this paper,we develop an approach to transform a timed weighted marked graph whose initial marking is not given,into an equivalent parametric timed marked graph where the edges have unitary *** order to explore an optimal resource allocation policy for a system,an analytical method is developed for the resource optimization of timed weighted marked graphs by studying an equivalent ***,we apply the proposed method to a flexible manufacturing system and compare the results with a previous heuristic *** analysis shows that the developed approach is superior to the heuristic approach.

Understanding the mesoscale structure and regime transition in bubble columns is of great significance for reactor design and *** on the energy-minimization multiscale(EMMS)model,a noncooperative game model with constraints is proposed to investigate the structural properties of gas-liquid systems in which small and large bubbles are chosen as players and the energy consumption form the objective *** conservation equations of the system can be regarded as the constraints of the *** the formulated noncooperative game model,the concept of the generalized Nash equilibrium(GNE)is used to characterize the *** algorithm is developed to numerically compute the GNE and some important structural parameters in the *** numerical results show the existence of the GNE for all values of the superficial gas velocity *** Ug varies,the trends in the state variables can be observed and the critical point of Ug *** overall trend of the flow regime transition agrees with the original EMMS model and experimental results,although the GNE calculation also reveals different single-bubble dominant mechanisms with increasing Ug.
