Video-based person re-identification (Re-ID) aims at matching the video snippets of the same person across multiple cameras. The ubiquitous appearance misalignment is a critical challenge in video person re-identification. Existing alignment-based methods rely on off-the-shelf human parsing models and cannot handle anomalous appearance information (e.g., obstacles and pedestrian interference) in video sequences. In this paper, we propose Anomaly-Aware Semantic Self-Alignment (ASSA), a novel video-based person Re-ID framework that seeks out body parts without prior human topology information and learns part-based feature representations against anomalous information. The proposed ASSA performs part classifier training and part-aligned representation learning alternately. For the classifier training, we design a Salient Region Extraction module to segment the entire foreground from the background in each input frame. Furthermore, a novel Anomaly-Aware Refinement module is proposed to suppress the influence of anomalous interference. Extensive experiments on three prevalent benchmarks demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed framework.

This paper presents an new approach to enhance the detection of smoking behavior using object detection neural networks, focusing on the challenge of small object detection, namely cigarettes in video frames. We introduce a Multi-Spatial Pooling (MSP) bottleneck mechanism integrated into a YOLOv8 backbone, which significantly improves the network's ability to discern smaller objects without compromising real-time inference capabilities. This enhancement facilitates the extraction of relevant features across various scales and efficiently handles the computational overhead, thereby boosting the detection accuracy and operational efficiency. Our results demonstrate a substantial improvement in performance metrics over traditional and existing neural network approaches, making this method highly suitable for real-time applications in diverse scenarios.

Spraying technology has been applied more and more widely in aeronautical manufacturing field. However, aeronautical test workpieces usually have unstructured and complex shapes, which makes the spraying inefficient and the quality of coating cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, this paper designs an automatic programming and simulation system for aeronautical workpiece spraying. And the kinematics and inverse kinematics modeling of NACHI robot, spraying parameters optimization and trajectory planning of the robot are studied in detail. This paper also designs the simulation experiments on typical aeronautical test workpieces, and the result shows that this system can improve the spraying efficiency and coating thickness effect, which has a certain universality and effectiveness. © 2021 IEEE.

In this paper,a data-based scheme is proposed to solve the optimal tracking problem of autonomous nonlinear switching *** system state is forced to track the reference signal by minimizing the performance ***,the problem is transformed to solve the corresponding Bellman optimality equation in terms of the Q-function(also named as action value function).Then,an iterative algorithm based on adaptive dynamic programming(ADP)is developed to find the optimal solution which is totally based on sampled *** linear-in-parameter(LIP)neural network is taken as the value function *** the presence of approximation error at each iteration step,the generated approximated value function sequence is proved to be boundedness around the exact optimal solution under some verifiable ***,the effect that the learning process will be terminated after a finite number of iterations is investigated in this paper.A sufficient condition for asymptotically stability of the tracking error is ***,the effectiveness of the algorithm is demonstrated with three simulation examples.

With the advancement of industrial automation and artificial intelligence technology, unmanned port autonomy has gained increasing attention. Port automatic driving technology is a critical component of unmanned autonomous systems, enabling rubber tire gantry cranes (RTGs) to autonomously navigate by detecting port lanes and implementing control commands. In this study, a deep learning-based method is proposed for detecting port lanes in complex port scenes. The method employs the Inception module and attention mechanism to enhance lane feature extraction, and a structural loss is introduced to explicitly constrain the detection results and incorporate the prior characteristics of port lanes. A novel Mixed Feature Attention Network (MFANet) is proposed to implement the method for port lane detection. Experimental results demonstrate that MFANet effectively improves the accuracy of port lane detection while maintaining high computational efficiency. Furthermore, the performance of MFANet is evaluated in a real-world application scenario. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Cross-Subject Depression Level Classification Using EEG Signals with a Sample Confidence Method

Electroencephalogram (EEG) is a non-invasive tool for real-time neural monitoring, widely used in depression detection via deep learning. However, existing models primarily focus on binary classification (depression/normal), lacking granularity for severity assessment. To address this, we proposed the DepL-GCN, i.e., Depression Level classification based on GCN model. This model tackles two key challenges: (1) subjectivity in depression-level labeling due to patient self-report biases, and (2) class imbalance across severity categories. Inspired by the model learning patterns, we introduced two novel modules: the sample confidence module and the minority sample penalty module. The former leverages the L2-norm of prediction errors to progressively filter EEG samples with weak label alignment during training, thereby reducing the impact of subjectivity;the latter automatically upweights misclassified minority-class samples to address imbalance issues. After testing on two public EEG datasets, DepL-GCN achieved accuracies of 81.13% and 81.36% for multi-class severity recognition, outperforming baseline models. Ablation studies confirmed both modules’ contributions. We further discussed the strengths and limitations of regression-based models for depression-level recognition. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. Secure output synchronization of heterogeneous multi-agent systems against false data injection attacks

This paper studies secure output synchronization for heterogeneous multi-agent systems against false data injection(FDI) attacks. Both the sensors and actuators of agents may be injected into FDI *** mitigate the malicious impact of these attacks on synchronization performance, a desired reference model,which is combined with an auxiliary system, is first designed for each agent to simulate its normal system dynamics. Then, based on this reference model, a state feedback cooperative controller and a static output feedback cooperative controller, which consist of adaptive compensators, are proposed, respectively. The integrated control protocols can ensure that the output synchronization error is small by adjusting some designed parameters even in the presence of FDI attacks. An illustrative example is employed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

La0.8Sr0.2CrO3-ITO thermocouples were successfully fabricated by screen printing. The La0.8Sr0.2CrO3 powder used for screen printing was obtained by the sol-gel method. The highest thermal voltage output was maintained at 270 mV at 1270°C. The microstructure of La0.8Sr0.2CrO3 and ITO electrode films were analysed by SEM. Thermoelectric response test was implemented to measure the performance of La0.8Sr0.2CrO3-ITO thermocouple by three times of thermal cycles. The results indicated that La0.8Sr0.2CrO3-ITO thermocouple showed good stability at high temperature. Copyright © 2022 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

This paper studies the secure and accurate clock synchronization problem for sensor networks with time-varying delays and malicious attacks.A novel clock synchronization scheme based on the attack detection mechanism,attack compensation,and maximum consensus protocol is *** proposed scheme starts with the detection of the malicious attacks and the clock data under attacks is *** the basis,software clock parameters are updated so that all the nodes in the network can have the same software skew and offset,so the clock synchronization can be ***,it is theoretically proved that the proposed scheme can achieve the attack detection correctly,and further can guarantee a secure and accurate clock *** addition,extensive simulations are also conducted to validate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

Researchers have always been popular with analyzing and controlling nonlinear systems, yet most methods are based on local linearized models. As an alternative, Koopman theory was introduced to solve global linearization problems. Koopman operator is infinite-dimensional and has the ability to globally linearize nonlinear systems without information loss. In this work, a Koopman autoencoder, which combines the Koopman operator and autoencoder network, is used for predicting nonlinear systems. The autoencoder network is designed to find an approximate finite-dimensional Koopman operator. An inverted pendulum dynamic system is used to evaluate the effectiveness of the Koopman autoencoder, and accurate prediction results have been achieved. Furthermore, we discussed the effect of latent layer neuron number in the Koopman autoencoder, prediction results are given, and the best number of latent layer neurons for this system is found. © 2022 IEEE.
