End-to-end multi-task reinforcement learning-based UAV swarm communication attack detection and area coverage

This paper proposes an innovative end-to-end multi-task reinforcement learning framework designed to enhance the security and operational stability of UAVs in complex communication attacks environments. In scenarios involving multiple UAV coverage, the framework classifies attack types and predicts UAV behaviors, which enables rapid response and compromised data recovery. First, a spatiotemporal attention mechanism is employed to strengthen the network by capturing temporal dependencies in the communication data and improving the recognition of hybird attack mode, thereby facilitating the integration of detection and repair. Second, the causal inference mechanism introduced in this study extracts true causal relationships from interference, which ensures the accuracy and stability of action predictions for area coverage under attack conditions. Finally, the entire process is modeled as a multi-task Markov decision process, optimizing overall decision-making efficiency. Additionally, the dynamic pheromone induction mechanism is proposed to realize the adaptive regional cooperative coverage of multiple UAVs. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can effectively detect hybrid attacks and predict UAV actions, protecting the multi-UAV cooperative area coverage. © 2025

This paper focuses on the design of an initialization-free distributed finite-time algorithm for the economic dispatch problem in smart grid, where the generation units only communicate with its neighbors to minimize the total cost cooperatively. Firstly, the optimal solution of the economic dispatch problem is analyzed in accordance with the saddle-point dynamics. Then, an initialization-free finite-time algorithm is presented to guarantee the active power generation and the incremental cost converge to the optimal solution in a distributed manner. Accurate prediction of solar irradiance is crucial for the effective utilization of solar energy. However, in real-world scenarios, complex irradiance patterns and prevalent incomplete data pose challenges to precise forecasting, resulting in additional uncertainties and instability. To address these issues, this study proposes a novel irradiance forecasting model that integrates a Mask-Transformer data imputation module and a prediction module centered around the typical patterns representation mechanism. The Mask-Transformer leverages a mask modeling mechanism to model the context of missing data, facilitating accurate estimation of missing values and reducing noise and uncertainty in the input data. The typical patterns representation mechanism comprises a series decomposition module and a feature fusion module, providing the module with the capability to mitigate nonlinearity and nonstationarity in solar irradiance data. This enhancement leads to improved short-term forecasting performance while maintaining long-term forecasting capabilities. Experimental results on two datasets demonstrate that the proposed model exhibits sufficient robustness and accuracy, making it effective in scenarios with incomplete data. © 2005-2012 IEEE.

Change Detection is a classic and fundamental task in remote sensing(RS), and has accomplish remarkable achievement on bitemporal image based methods. However, bitemporal images are very expensive and needs professional researchers to align and label the paired images. Furthermore, most bitemporal image based methods are only semantic-aware not instance-aware, which indicates these methods only use paired images' semantic information. Thus, we propose a method that only needs unpaired RS images with semantic labels. In this paper, we introduce multi-task learning into change detection progress, which comprises four major parts: Boundary-Aware Module, Contextual-Aware Module, Segmentation Module, Change Detection Module. At first, we construct Boundary-Aware Module and Contextual-Aware Module to extract sharp boundary and dense contextual features. Then we feed the feature maps to Change Detection Module and Segmentation Module to accomplish the subtasks. The comprehensive experiments on a single temporal image dataset demonstrate the efficiency of our approach over other bitemporal image based methods, and the experimental results shows our approach is competitive with other methods while all methods was trained on bitemporal image dataset. © 2023 ACM.

In structured light systems, the accuracy of measurement notably diminishes when assessing complex texture objects, especially encountering boundaries between various colors. To address this challenge, this paper meticulously analyzes and establishes an error model, elaborating the correlation between phase errors and the gradients of phase and grayscale. Based on this analysis, a novel high-precision method is proposed for measuring complex texture objects via bidirectional fringe projection. This approach firstly leverages horizontal and vertical fringe projections to derive bidirectional phase information and calculates the angles between the tangent of the texture edges and the phase gradient. Subsequently, a refined temporal phase correction algorithm is formulated based on the epipolar matching algorithm and the devised error model, effectively reducing errors caused by complex textures. Ultimately, corrected point clouds are calculated based on bidirectional phases, and the obtained point clouds are merged to further diminish phase errors. Comparison experiments indicate that this method can reduce Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) by 65.74% and 67.75%, respectively. Compared to existing methods, it improves performance by 27.29% and 33.74%, respectively, demonstrating superior performance. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most difficult diseases to be treated fundamentally in the medical field in today's world, and the recurrence rate of HCC has been increasing year by year in recent years. The study on the identification and prediction of microvascular invasion phenomenon (MVI) in hepatocellular carcinoma is beneficial to the postoperative prevention of hepatocellular carcinoma patients, which can greatly improve the survival probability of patients after surgery. In this study, a new MVI prediction method (MSF-GWO-GPR) was proposed, which combines the multi-sequence image features of imaging histology, sifts out the unimportant features through the T-test method and the dimensionality reduction of Lasso regression, and establishes the multi-sequence Gaussian process regression (GPR) prediction model for data fusion, and combined with the Gray Wolf Optimization (GWO) algorithm to design a suitable optimization objective function to optimize the hyper-parameters in the GPR, in order to get better prediction results. Compared with the existing methods, the data from different sequences of MRI images are selected for fusion in this study, which makes the feature data richer and more complete, and the model applicability is better;moreover, by optimizing the hyperparameters in the model through the GWO, the model can be made more accurate, reduce the risk of misidentified prediction, and improve the accuracy rate. The experimental results show that MSF-GWO-GPR outperforms widely used machine learning methods in terms of accuracy, F1 score, precision, recall and AUC metrics. This may provide a new idea for the identification and prediction of MVI in hepatocellular carcinoma. © 2024 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Chimera-inspired dynamics: When higher-order interactions are expressed differently

The exploration of chimera-inspired dynamics in nonlocally coupled networks of Kuramoto oscillators with higher-order interactions is still in its nascent stages. Concurrently, the investigation of collective phenomena in higher-order interaction networks is gaining attraction. Here, we observe that hypergraph networks tend to synchronize through lower-order interactions, whereas simplicial complex networks exhibit a preference for higher-order interactions. This observation suggests that higher-order representations manifest substantial differences in chimera-inspired synchronization regions. Moreover, we introduce an explicit expression for identifying the chimera state. With a comprehensive basin stability analysis and the interplay of pairwise and higher-order interaction strengths, the emergence of the chimera state is inherent in high-order interaction networks. Our findings contribute to the understanding of chimera-inspired dynamics in higher-order interaction networks.
