Lactobacillus delbrueckii ***(***)and Streptococcus thermophilus(***)are commonly used starters in milk *** experiments revealed that *** interactions(Lb St I)substantially impact dairy product quality and *** biological humidity experiments are time-consuming and labor-intensive in screening interaction combinations,an artificial intelligence-based method for screening interactive starter combinations is ***,in the current research on artificial intelligence based interaction prediction in the field of bioinformatics,most successful models adopt supervised learning methods,and there is a lack of research on interaction prediction with only a small number of labeled ***,this study aimed to develop a semi-supervised learning framework for predicting Lb St I using genomic data from 362 isolates(181per species).The framework consisted of a two-part model:a co-clustering prediction model(based on the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)dataset)and a Laplacian regularized least squares prediction model(based on K-mer analysis and gene composition of all isolates datasets).To enhance accuracy,we integrated the separate outcomes produced by each component of the two-part model to generate the ultimate Lb St I prediction results,which were verified through milk fermentation *** through milk fermentation experiments confirmed a high precision rate of 85%(17/20;validated with 20 randomly selected combinations of expected interacting isolates).Our data suggest that the biosynthetic pathways of cysteine,riboflavin,teichoic acid,and exopolysaccharides,as well as the ATP-binding cassette transport systems,contribute to the mutualistic relationship between these starter bacteria during milk ***,this finding requires further experimental *** presented model and data are valuable resources for academics an

Math word problem (MWP) represents a critical research area within reading comprehension, where accurate comprehension of math problem text is crucial for generating math expressions. However, current approaches still grapple with unresolved challenges in grasping the sensitivity of math problem text and delineating distinct roles across various clause types, and enhancing numerical representation. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a Numerical Magnitude Aware Multi-Channel Hierarchical Encoding Network (NMA-MHEA) for math expression generation. Firstly, NMA-MHEA implements a multi-channel hierarchical context encoding module to learn context representations at three different channels: intra-clause channel, inter-clause channel, and context-question interaction channel. NMA-MHEA constructs hierarchical constituent-dependency graphs for different levels of sentences and employs a Hierarchical Graph Attention Neural Network (HGAT) to learn syntactic and semantic information within these graphs at the intra-clause and inter-clause channels. NMA-MHEA then refines context clauses using question information at the context-question interaction channel. Secondly, NMA-MHEA designs a number encoding module to enhance the relative magnitude information among numerical values and type information of numerical values. Experimental results on two public benchmark datasets demonstrate that NMA-MHEA outperforms other state-of-the-art models. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

This paper investigates resilient consensus control for teleoperation systems under denial-of-service (DoS) attacks. We design resilient controllers with auxiliary systems based on sampled positions of both master and slave robots, enhancing robustness during DoS attacks. Additionally, we establish stability conditions on DoS attack duration and frequency by applying multivariate small-gain methods to ensure closed-loop stability without the need to solve linear matrix inequalities. Finally, the effectiveness of the controllers is validated through the simulation results, demonstrating that the master-slave synchronization is achieved. © The Author(s) 2025.

Enhancing Human Pose Estimation in the Internet of Things via Diffusion Generative Models

With the ongoing development of public video surveillance technology, accurate human pose estimation is becoming increasingly important in urban administration and law enforcement. However, existing methods rely on large-scale dense annotations, which are labor-intensive and time-consuming. To tackle this, we propose SparsePose which leverages training videos with sparse annotations (labeled every k frames) to learn to propagate temporal poses that help to estimate the poses in unlabeled frames. Technically, we engage in a novel dual-branch architecture that combines 1) pose forecasting of the consecutive neighboring frames with 2) visual clues of the current frame and the nearest labeled frames. We theoretically derive the intra-branch and inter-branch mutual information loss to supervise that maximized pose-relevant features are extracted from the current frame and different branches complement each other to approach precise pose estimation. Additionally, we propose a diffusion generative enhancement, which improves the robustness of the model to challenging scenes from the perspective of diversity. Empirical results show that our method significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art methods in sparsely labeled pose estimation on three benchmark datasets. © 2025 IEEE.

The Segment Anything Model (SAM), introduced in 2023, has made significant advancements in the field of computer vision. However, SAM faces two major challenges: limitations related to single-scale processing and high computational demands for large-scale data handling, which restrict its widespread adoption in practical applications. Therefore, we propose MS-SAM to achieve better segmentation performance at a lower cost. We introduce a multi-scale image encoder to handle images of varying scales and complexities. Additionally, we propose a dynamic weighted agent attention, which can flexibly and efficiently adjust attention distribution while reducing computational costs. We train MS-SAM on a 1/20 subset of the SA-1B dataset for instance segmentation using points or boxes as prompts. The results show that we maintain the accuracy with the SAM method while reducing the parameters by about 6 times. In the process of iron and steel smelting, steel slag is inevitably produced as a byproduct. Accurately identifying steel slag is a prerequisite for controlling the content of steel slag. Conventional vision-based steel slag processing solutions are constrained by real-time performance or robustness against disturbances, rendering them directly applied in industrial sites. To address these issues, SlagNet, a steel slag segmentation network with real-time performance and strong disturbance resistance, is designed in this paper. By designing a lightweight branch to extract rich context information, and combining edge branches to supplement the slag edge information, 77.69 mIOU and 13.25 FPS are achieved in the field collection of slagging data set. The results indicate that SlagNet achieves the optimal balance between real-time performance and accuracy in comparison with other segmentation methods, thereby meeting the requirements of industrial sites. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

In the steel manufacturing industry, the precise forecasting of rolling forces in the hot rolling process is vital for enhancing production efficiency and ensuring product quality. Traditional forecasting methods exhibit limitations when addressing the nonlinearity and variability of industrial data, and current deep learning models are slow to respond to real-time data, with room for improvement in predictive accuracy within dynamic production settings. This paper introduces the Rollformer deep learning model, which adeptly captures intricate nonlinear patterns through the self-attention mechanism's nonlinear transformation capabilities, and boosts sensitivity and adaptability to data variability via adaptive weight distribution. The Rollformer model also pioneers the Roll Self-attention mechanism, leveraging probabilistic sparsity to diminish computational complexity and accelerate the model’s response. Additionally, it employs a generative decoder for swift long-sequence predictions, thereby augmenting the model’s predictive precision. Validated with extensive real-world data from steel mills, the Rollformer model demonstrates superior predictive accuracy and response speed when compared to other Transformer-based deep learning models such as Autoformer and Conformer. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Automatic code summarization aims to generate concise natural language descriptions (summary) for source code, which can free software developers from the heavy burden of manual commenting and software maintenance. Existing methods focus on learning a direct mapping from pure code to summaries, overlooking the significant heterogeneity gap between code and summary. Moreover, existing methods lack a human-like re-check process to evaluate whether the generated summaries match well with the code. To address these two limitations, we introduce RBCoSum, a novel framework that incorporates the generated Chain Of Comments (COC) as auxiliary intermediate information for the model to bridge the gap between code and summaries. Also, we propose a rethinking process where a learned ranker trained on our constructed ranking dataset scores the extent of matching between the generated summary and the code, selecting the highest-scoring summary to achieve a re-check process. We conduct extensive experiments to evaluate our approach and compare it with other automatic code summarization models as well as multiple code Large Language Models (LLMs). The experimental results show that RBCoSum is effective and outperforms baselines by a large margin. The human evaluation also proves the summaries generated with RBCoSum are more natural, informative, useful, and truthful. © 2025 Association for Computational Linguistics.
