Facing limitations of existing systems for process integrity measurement, we put forward a method with its prototype system PDIMS to measure process runtime integrity. Based on structure of process and format of executable file, PDIMS anatomizes the codepage layout of runtime process. Combining OS mechanisms and modern CPU's support for code execution, PDIMS catches and measures code page in the kernel when it executes. PDIMS depends on CPU's non-executable bit to detect code execution and on the binary format of executables of the process as criterion to verify code modifications in kernel. PDIMS provides trustworthy information about whether a running process is modified. PDIMS introduces less than 4% overhead to OS.

In this paper, we introduce two concepts of service semantic relation and semantic relation chain to figure out service composition relation and sequentially service composition. For parallel service composition, we propose web service community (WSC) model which corresponding to a Split+Join structure, So we introduce a kind of divide and conquer method to convert parallel service composition into sequentially service composition based on WSC chains and which can solve sequential and parallel service composition problems in an agreement way. Finally, a parallel composition example illustrations the execution process of our method. © 2009 IEEE.

Semantic retrieval is a hot area of Web search technology constantly because of the growing information. This paper proposed a creative semantic retrieval method with Path Weight Semantic Distance (PWSD) algorithm which is improved from current model. Based on the domain ontology built by protégé, PWSD considers both the hierarchy and the property restrictions of the concepts synthetically, and provides an accurate computation of semantic distance between conceptions. We have investigated the feasibilities, advantages and statistical significances from the comparison between our system and personalized categorization system (PCAT) and found that our system has high performances with 95% or higher statistical significance for short queries tasks. © 2009 IEEE.

Nowadays mainstream RDF Repository Systems are based on RDBMS. The SPARQL query engine translates a SPARQL query into a SQL one, and then the RDBMS executes the SQL query. However the RDBMS optimizers, which usually assume that columns are statistically independent, often underestimate the selectivity of conjunctive predicates and choose a bad query execution plan. It is important for query optimizers to detect correlations among properties. We propose a way of computing property correlations based on ontology itself in order to improve the execution performance of the SQL translated from SPARQL statement queries.

One of the major limitations of current search engines is that users could not quickly locate what they want if the input query is too general. Some existing techniques try to cluster web search results into groups so as to user's quick browsing. In this paper, we present a new approach to categorize the web search results by using YAGO ontology. It utilizes the YAGO ontology to automatically generate categories for the user's specific query and classify the search results into appropriate categories. Our experimental results indicate that our method is feasible and effectiveness.

What-if analysis can provide more meaningful information than classical OLAP. Multi-scenario hypothesis based on historical data needs efficient what-if data view support. In general, delta table for what-if analysis is more general than other solutions such as query re-writing prototype of Sesame. Delta table is independent of base table and is more suitable to represent complex hypothetical updates and multi-version hypothetical updates. Due to low efficiency of traditional delta table merging algorithm which is based on set operation, there are few researches focus on delta table merging algorithm but on query re-writing algorithm. By analyzing the difference between what-if query and what-if analysis and improving the delta table merging algorithm, we propose novel algorithms without set operation of difference. Considering the feature of aggregate operations in OLAP analysis, pre-merge algorithm is presented without the generation of what if data view before group-bys in the scenario of SUM, AVERAGE and COUNT function OLAP queries. In our experiments, the pre-merge algorithm greatly improved the efficiency of delta table merging procedure which is close to base group-by statement and superior to the re-writing algorithm. A complete comparison between all candidate delta table merging algorithms and re-writing algorithm with different what-if update conditions of update, deletion, insertion and mixed what-if updates is exhibited in our experiments, the policy of what-if analysis among different types is also discussed. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2009.

Designed and implemented an in-vehicle information system based on Linux with IPv6. There were three modules in this system included CDMA connection module based IPv6 applications, NAT/firewall based on IPtables/Netfilter, and display module based on miniGUI. We could use CDMA connection module to send the GPS and the CAN bus data to the remote servers, and the firewall based on IPtables/Netfilter could provide some rules to protect the system against attack. It was also designed to support the inter-vehicle users to visit internet through the system based on NAT module. The GPS module could get GPS information from GPS receiver. A touch-screen was used to display the information of GPS and CAN bus by the display module.

There is myriad high quality information in the Deep Web and the feasible method to access the Deep Web is through the query interface of the Deep Web. It's necessary to extract abundant attributes and semantic relation description from the query interface. Automatic extracting attributes from the query interface and automatically translating a query is a solvable way for addressing the current limitations in accessing Deep Web data sources. We design a framework to automatically extract the attributes and instances from the query interface using the WordNet as a kind of ontology technique to enrich the semantic description of the attributes. Each attribute is extended into a candidate attribute set in the form of a hierarchy tree. At the same time, the hierarchy tree generated by ontology describes the semantic relation of the attributes in the same query interface. We carry out our experiments in the real-world domain. The results of the experiments showed the validation of query translation framework. © 2008 IEEE.

Flow graph is an effective and graphical tool of knowledge representation and analysis. It explores dependent relation between knowledge in the form of information flow quantity. However, the quantity of flow can not exactly represent the functional dependency between knowledge. In this paper, we firstly present an extended flow graph using concrete information flow, and then give its interpretation under the framework of information theory. Subsequently, an extended flow graph generation algorithm based on the significance of attribute is proposed in virtue of mutual information. In addition, for the purpose of avoiding over-fitting and reducing store space, a reduction method about this extension using information metric has also been developed. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.

Trusted Network Connect (TNC), whose goal is to improve network security from source, now has become hot topic in security domain. We proposed a new access model for the terminals without meeting the requirements in TNC specifications. Also we discussed the work flow and communication process of presented model. Simulations show that the feasibility of the presented model used in the scenario where terminals fall short of network demand can pass the access authentication of network with TNC specifications. © 2009 IEEE.
