Protecting personal privacy and its right are a respect for the human rights, the necessary condition for healthy development of a democratic society and the important criteria of maintaining the basic dignity to be human. The internet of things with its ubiquitous data-aware and intelligent information processing capabilities, improves social efficiency and severe challenges for information security and privacy. In this environment, how to ensure information security and privacy are a major breakthrough in one of the obstacles and an important issue that must be addressed and resolved in the developing process of the internet of things. Thus, in the development of it, we should follow the basic principles of protecting personal privacy such as the entire management, legal compliance, security, adding information, balance and accountability, and establish such models of protecting personal privacy as laws, industry self-regulation and technology to fully protect the inviolability of personal privacy, and remove obstacles and barriers for the applications of the internet of things. © 2010 ASCE.

The mechanical properties of hot rolled strip are the key index of product quality,and the soft sensing of them is an important decision basis for the control and optimization of hot rolling *** solve the problem that it is difficult to measure the mechanical properties of hot rolled strip in time and accurately,a soft sensor based on ensemble local modeling was ***,outliers of process data are removed by local outlier *** standardization and transformation,normal data that can be used in the model are ***,in order to avoid redundant variables participating in modeling and reducing performance of models,feature selection was applied combing the mechanism of hot rolling process and mutual information among ***,features of samples were extracted by supervised local preserving projection,and a prediction model was constructed by Gaussian process regression based on just-in-time learning(JITL).Other JITL-based models,such as support vector regression and gradient boosting regression tree models,keep all variables and make up for the lost information during dimension ***,the soft sensor was developed by integrating individual models through stacking *** and reliability of proposed soft sensors were verified by actual process data from a real hot rolling process.

Short text classification methods have achieved significant progress and wide application on text data such as Twitter and Weibo. However, the extremely short chinese texts like tax invoice data are different with traditional short texts in lackness of contextual semantic information, feature sparseness and extremely short length. The existing short text classification methods are difficult to achieve a satisfactory performance in these texts. To address these problems, this paper proposes a text classification method based on bidirectional semantic extension for extremely short texts like Chinese tax invoice data. More specifically, firstly, the Chinese knowledge graph is introduced for extending bidirectional semantic of texts and label data to expand the extremely short texts and ease the problem of feature sparseness;secondly, the hash vectorization is used to avoid the semantic problem caused by the lackness of contextual information. Experimental results conducted the real tax invoice dataset demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The credit card industry has been growing rapidly in recent years, and credit risk assessment becomes critically important for financial companies. In this paper, a novel support vector machine (SVM) based ensemble model is proposed for credit risk assessment. In the proposed method, principles component analysis (PCA) is firstly employed for credit feature selection. Secondly, SVMs with different kernels are trained by using genetic algorithm (GA) to optimize the parameters, and the corresponding assessment results are obtained. Thirdly, all results produced by different SVMs are combined by several ensemble strategies. Finally, an optimal ensemble strategy is selected for credit scoring. For validation, two real world credit datasets are used to test the effectiveness and efficiency of our proposed method. The experiment results find that our proposed ensemble model outperforms commonly used credit scoring tools. The findings of the study reveal the support vector machine based ensemble method to be a promising alternative for credit scoring. © 2010 IEEE.

Short Text Topic Modeling Techniques, Applications, and Performance: A Survey

Analyzing short texts infers discriminative and coherent latent topics that is a critical and fundamental task since many real-world applications require semantic understanding of short texts. Traditional long text topic modeling algorithms (e.g., PLSA and LDA) based on word co-occurrences cannot solve this problem very well since only very limited word co-occurrence information is available in short texts. Therefore, short text topic modeling has already attracted much attention from the machine learning research community in recent years, which aims at overcoming the problem of sparseness in short texts. In this survey, we conduct a comprehensive review of various short text topic modeling techniques proposed in the literature. We present three categories of methods based on Dirichlet multinomial mixture, global word co-occurrences, and self-aggregation, with example of representative approaches in each category and analysis of their performance on various tasks. We develop the first comprehensive open-source library, called STTM, for use in Java that integrates all surveyed algorithms within a unified interface, benchmark datasets, to facilitate the expansion of new methods in this research field. Finally, we evaluate these state-of-the-art methods on many real-world datasets and compare their performance against one another and versus long text topic modeling algorithm. © 2020 IEEE.

By means of introducing multi-auctioneer model, resources in the computational economic grid can be managed and allocated like in the auction. We research and put forward the corresponding solve schemes of three key issues of auctioneer system: preventing auctioneer from cheating, selection of auctioneer, setting of trading prices, and use computational grid modeling and simulation tools GridSim to simulate computational grid environment in the experiment which uses multiauctioneer system to manage and schedule, then we analyze the results of experiment in different conditions, and validate the feasibility of a multi-auctioneer system in computational grid.

Internetware can be formed through aggregation of Internetware entities bottom-up to satisfy the user's requirements. In the process, capability description of Internetware entity plays an important role. This paper proposes a capability description of Internetware entity based on environment ontology. The environment ontology includes environment entities and possible interactions with the environment entities in a particular domain. Tree-like hierarchical state machines are also included in the ontology to describe domain life-cycle of the environment entities. On the basis of the ideas, the capability of Internetware entity is embodied by interacting with environment entities and the changes of the environment entities during the interactions. Finally, this paper describes the matchmaking between capability descriptions of Internetware entities to support the discovery of Internetware entity. An example of online education course is given to illustrate the ideas.

Few-shot knowledge graph completion (FKGC) aims to infer unknown fact triples of a relation using its few-shot reference entity pairs. Recent FKGC studies focus on learning semantic representations of entity pairs by separately encoding the neighborhoods of head and tail entities. Such practice, however, ignores the inter-entity interaction, resulting in low-discrimination representations for entity pairs, especially when these entity pairs are associated with 1-to-N, N-to-1, and N-to-N relations. To address this issue, this paper proposes a novel FKGC model, named Cross-Interaction Attention Network (CIAN) to investigate the inter-entity interaction between head and tail entities. Specifically, we first explore the interactions within entities by computing the attention between the task relation and each entity neighbor, and then model the interactions between head and tail entities by letting an entity to attend to the neighborhood of its paired entity. In this way, CIAN can figure out the relevant semantics between head and tail entities, thereby generating more discriminative representations for entity pairs. Extensive experiments on two public datasets show that CIAN outperforms several state-of-the-art methods. This paper studies error formulas for Lagrange projectors determined by Cartesian sets. Cartesian sets are properly subgrids of tensor product grids. Given interpolated functions with all order continuous partial derivatives, the authors directly construct the good error formulas for Lagrange projectors determined by Cartesian sets. Owing to the special algebraic structure, such a good error formula is useful for error estimate.
