In this paper, we propose an innovative multi scale model called Dual-3DCRU, designed to extract more discriminative feature from both the left and right hemispheres. Byleveraging spatial relationships of electrode locations and the distinct frequency bands present in EEG signals from brain two hemispheres regions, we reconstructed comprehensive three-dimensional frequency space fusion feature representation. The Dual-3DCRU utilizes two different multi scale 3D -CNN to effectively capture both frequency and spatial information embedded in the 3D feature representations. Furthermore, we integrate a Gated Recursive Unit (GRU) to model the temporal dynamics across continuous time periods and extract critical temporal information. Ultimately, the Dual-3DGRU model delivers a holistic feature representation that incorporates time, frequency, and spatial information seamlessly. Our experiments showcase that the Dual-3DCRU model attains exceptional performance on DEAP dataset. Specifically, the accuracy in the Valence dimensionis 94.35%, F1-score is 93.24%, accuracy in the Arousal dimensionis 95.04%, and F1-score is 94.17%. © 2024 IEEE.

A compact, wideband circularly polarized (CP) patch antenna based on the metasurface (MS) is presented. The antenna composed of a truncated corner square patch with four L-shaped axial ratio (AR) tuning stubs is sandwiched between the metasurface (MS) and the ground plane. The MS is composed of a lattice of 4 × 4 periodic metal plates. When surface waves on the MS are stimulated within the antenna structure, it will broaden the impedance bandwidth and AR bandwidth of the antenna. The proposed antenna adopts a stacked layout with an overall size of 40mm × 40mm × 4.5mm (0.71λ0 × 0.71λ0 × 0.08λ0, at 5.3 GHz). The simulation results show a |S11| © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, a SIR-coupled dual-band bandpass filter is proposed, which has lower insertion loss, better out-of-band rejection. The bandpass characteristics of the dual-band are obtained by bending the SIR and coupling it, and loading the shaped branches. By changing the shape of the shaped branches, a transmission pole is added in the first passband, which reduces the insertion loss of the filter and improves the rejection effect of the stopband. The simulation results show that the dual-frequency bandpass filter has a center frequency of 6.26GHz, an insertion loss of 0.17dB, a return loss of less than -27.8dB, and a relative bandwidth of 15.5% for the low band, and an insertion loss of 0.67dB, a return loss of less than -15.8dB, and a relative bandwidth of 11.6% for the high band, at a center frequency of 9.26GHz. © 2024 IEEE.

APFA:Ameliorated Pathfinder Algorithm for Engineering Applications

Pathfinder algorithm(PFA)is a swarm intelligent optimization algorithm inspired by the collective activity behavior of swarm animals,imitating the leader in the population to guide followers in finding the best food *** algorithm has the characteristics of a simple structure and high ***,PFA faces challenges such as insufficient population diversity and susceptibility to local optima due to its inability to effectively balance the exploration and exploitation *** paper proposes an Ameliorated Pathfinder Algorithm called APFA to solve complex engineering optimization ***,a guidance mechanism based on multiple elite individuals is presented to enhance the global search capability of the ***,to improve the exploration efficiency of the algorithm,the Logistic chaos mapping is introduced to help the algorithm find more high-quality potential solutions while avoiding the worst ***,a comprehensive following strategy is designed to avoid the algorithm falling into local optima and further improve the convergence *** three strategies achieve an effective balance between exploration and exploitation overall,thus improving the optimization performance of the *** performance evaluation,APFA is validated by the CEC2022 benchmark test set and five engineering optimization problems,and compared with the state-of-the-art metaheuristic *** numerical experimental results demonstrated the superiority of APFA.

Currently, few-shot object detection (FSOD) methods for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images are severely understudied. The high confidentiality and scarcity of SAR data, coupled with the susceptibility of targets in SAR images to significant changes in orientation, make existing models sensitive to variations in novel class examples. This sensitivity leads to challenges in extracting class prototypes and accurately estimating class centers for novel classes. To solve the above issues, we propose a few-shot object detection algorithm for SAR images via Gaussian Flow Class-Balanced Differential Aggregation. Specifically, we first design a class-balanced difference feature aggregation module to solve the problems of difficult class distribution estimation and inaccurate class center estimation of novel classes in SAR images. Second, the contextual information perception module is designed to extract the most representative support features into fine-grained prototypes and aggregate them with the query features using the matching paradigm to solve the imbalance between foreground targets and background in SAR images. Finally, experimental results on MSAR-AIR dataset indicate that our model realizes the best detection properties on SAR images compared to existing models. © 2024 IEEE.

Existing graph learning-based cognitive diagnosis (CD) methods have made relatively good results, but their student, exercise, and concept representations are learned and exchanged in an implicit unified graph, which makes the interaction-agnostic exercise and concept representations be learned poorly, failing to provide high robustness against noise in students' interactions. Besides, lower-order exercise latent representations obtained in shallow layers are not well explored when learning the student representation. To tackle the issues, this paper suggests a meta multigraph-assisted disentangled graph learning framework for CD (DisenGCD), which learns three types of representations on three disentangled graphs: student-exercise-concept interaction, exercise-concept relation, and concept dependency graphs, respectively. Specifically, the latter two graphs are first disentangled from the interaction graph. Then, the student representation is learned from the interaction graph by a devised meta multigraph learning module;multiple learnable propagation paths in this module enable current student latent representation to access lower-order exercise latent representations, which can lead to more effective nad robust student representations learned;the exercise and concept representations are learned on the relation and dependency graphs by graph attention modules. Finally, a novel diagnostic function is devised to handle three disentangled representations for prediction. Experiments show better performance and robustness of DisenGCD than state-of-the-art CD methods and demonstrate the effectiveness of the disentangled learning framework and meta multigraph module. The increasing number of vehicular networking devices and application demands has made the limited computing and communication resources a significant challenge. The heuristic task offloading strategy mechanism was proposed to improve the efficiency of task offloading in vehicular networks. This strategy mechanism utilized the Nondominated Sorting Genetic Fireworks Algorithm (NSGFA) based on the characteristics of the problem, integrated consideration of the multi-target balance between system offloading costs and load balancing. Experimental data results demonstrate that this method performs well in reducing latency, energy consumption, and load balancing, effectively enhancing the quality of service for vehicular network users. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
