Capturing the root cause and propagation path of the fault is critical to ensuring the safety and efficiency of industrial processes, especially those that inadequately utilize process knowledge and data. To address this issue, a unified framework integrating knowledge and data for collaborative root cause identification is proposed. First, the knowledge causal graph (KCG) is constructed using expert knowledge and industrial flow charts, providing a preliminary reference for subsequent causality analysis. Next, by replacing the traditional vector autoregression (VAR) model in Granger Causality (GC) with the gated recurrent unit (GRU), a more reliable causal relationship between variables is obtained. Additionally, a causality fusion propagation path identification method (CF-PPI) is designed to identify the root cause and propagation path of the fault, so that the obtained fault propagation path has less redundancy and higher accuracy. Finally, the method is validated using data from the ASHRAE RP-1043 centrifugal chiller. © 2024 IEEE.

The paper introduces a microwave sensor based on split-ring resonators (SRR) for detecting the moisture content and spoilage of milk. This sensor is characterized by its simple structure and high sensitivity, utilizing SRR to enhance the local electric field intensity of the electromagnetic field. By measuring the transmission characteristics of microwave signals, it can accurately detect the moisture content and spoilage of milk samples. The sensor operates at a frequency of 6 GHz and has dimensions of 30×25×1.6 mm. The study establishes the relationship between resonance frequency and water content in milk through simulated data, which provides an effective method for monitoring milk quality and holds potential applications in the food industry, contributing significantly to ensuring food safety. © 2024 IEEE.

A control circuit for active metasurface based on varactor diode is designed in this paper. By varying the reverse bias voltage on the varactor diode, the designed circuit can regulate the additional phase of the active meta-atoms. The circuit adopts a form of one master and multiple slaves, which can simultaneously control the bias voltage of 960 meta-atoms. Each slave can control up to 64 channels. The control accuracy is 0.04V. The power consumption of a single slave is 160mW. Though experiment verification, the circuit has a good effect in controlling the beam deflection of the metasurface and generating OAM beams. © 2023 Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES).

Data-driven pre-trained language models typically perform shortcut learning wherein they rely on the spurious correlations between the data and the ground truth. This reliance can undermine the robustness and generalization of the model. To address this issue, data augmentation emerges as a promising solution. By integrating anti-shortcut data to the training set, the models' shortcut-induced biases can be mitigated. However, existing methods encounter three challenges: (1) Manual definition of shortcuts is tailored to particular datasets, restricting generalization. (2) The inherent confirmation bias during model training hampers the effectiveness of data augmentation. (3) Insufficient exploration of the relationship between the model performance and the augmented data quantity may result in excessive data consumption. To tackle these challenges, we propose a method of Smart Data Augmentation based on Large Language Models (SAug-LLM). It leverages the LLMs to autonomously identify shortcuts and generate their anti-shortcut counterparts. In addition, the dual validation is employed to mitigate the confirmation bias during the model retraining. Furthermore, the data augmentation process is optimized to effectively rectify model biases while minimizing data consumption. We validate the effectiveness and generalization of our method through extensive experiments across various natural language processing tasks, demonstrating an average performance improvement of 5.61%. © 2025 Association for Computational Linguistics.

A new dual-band low-profile quadrifilar-helical antenna (QHA) was presented. The spiral radiation arm of QHA is printed to three circular dielectric plates to reduce the antenna height. In this case, the radiation arm of the lower layer is connected to the feed, and the L-shaped branch is connected to the ground through a 50 ohm resistance. The radiation arm in the middle layer adds branches to realize dual frequency. The upper radiation arm rotates inward and folds, further realizing miniaturization. As a result, the height of QHA is only 20mm. Through CST simulation and optimization, The operating frequency bands of QHA are 1GHz - 1.45GHz and 1.54GHz - 1.74GHz. The beam width of QHA is more than 120°, which is to provide service for satellite navigating systems. The AR for the operation bands are less than 3dB. © 2023 IEEE.

The Affine-Projection Maximum Asymmetric Correntropy Criterion (APMACC) is constructed, drawing upon the fundamental principles of the maximum asymmetric correntropy criterion and an affine-projection scheme. The APMACC algorithm incorporates the asymmetric Gaussian model as a kernel function within the Affine-Projection (AP) algorithm framework, thereby endowing it with robustness against asymmetrically distributed noise. Furthermore, the bound for step-size is established in the literature. Simulation results demonstrate that the APMACC has fast convergence and low steady-state. © 2023 IEEE.

The currently constructed millimeter wave imaging system has the problems of long sampling time and more sampling points of antenna units, and the use of compressed perception algorithm can improve the imaging quality when the number of sampling points are much smaller than the Nyquist distance sampling. The traditional compressed perception algorithm can achieve better sparse recovery than the matched filter imaging algorithm, but there is a large dimension of the measurement matrix and high computational complexity. For the problems of difficult data processing and large dimensions of measurement matrix, a sparse imaging regularization model is constructed based on approximate observation, and an improved soft threshold iterative algorithm is used with adaptive step size, which improves the convergence performance, reduces the computational complexity of the sparse recovery dramatically and achieves a better quality of sparse imaging than the traditional compressed perception algorithm. © 2023 IEEE.

Avatars, as promising digital representations and service assistants of users in Metaverses, can enable drivers and passengers to immerse themselves in 3D virtual services and spaces of UAV-assisted vehicular Metaverses. However, avatar tasks include a multitude of human-to-avatar and avatar-to-avatar interactive applications, e.g., augmented reality navigation,which consumes intensive computing resources. It is inefficient and impractical for vehicles to process avatar tasks locally. Fortunately, migrating avatar tasks to the nearest roadside units(RSU)or unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV) for execution is a promising solution to decrease computation overhead and reduce task processing latency, while the high mobility of vehicles brings challenges for vehicles to independently perform avatar migration decisions depending on current and future vehicle status. To address these challenges, in this paper, we propose a novel avatar task migration system based on multi-agent deep reinforcement learning(MADRL) to execute immersive vehicular avatar tasks dynamically. Specifically, we first formulate the problem of avatar task migration from vehicles to RSUs/UAVs as a partially observable Markov decision process that can be solved by MADRL algorithms. We then design the multi-agent proximal policy optimization(MAPPO) approach as the MADRL algorithm for the avatar task migration problem. To overcome slow convergence resulting from the curse of dimensionality and non-stationary issues caused by shared parameters in MAPPO, we further propose a transformer-based MAPPO approach via sequential decision-making models for the efficient representation of relationships among agents. Finally, to motivate terrestrial or non-terrestrial edge servers(e.g., RSUs or UAVs) to share computation resources and ensure traceability of the sharing records, we apply smart contracts and blockchain technologies to achieve secure sharing management.
