Many real-world systems interact with one another through dependency links, which reduces the system robustness. Most previous studies on the robustness of interdependent networks focus on undirected networks, and the related studies on directed networks are limited to random or targeted attacks. However, some failure scenarios can not be described by these two kinds of attacks, such as earthquakes, floods, and epidemics, where systems are attacked in a local range. In this work, we develop a theoretical framework for analyzing the robustness of interdependent directed networks under localized attacks. We find that for degree homogeneous networks, network robustness under localized attacks is similar to that under random attacks. There are four phase transitions in the phase diagram of the network, and a four-phase transition point and a two-phase transition point are found. For degree heterogeneous networks, localized attacks are more likely to lead to collapse than random attacks. As the coupling strength between networks increases, the interdependent networks first show a second order phase transition, and then a hybrid phase transition, and a first order phase transition at last. Furthermore, as the degree heterogeneity decreases, the robustness of networks first increases and then decreases, showing a local robustness maximum. The findings could help understand network robustness and enable better design of robust interdependent systems. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

We present 3D Cinemagraphy, a new technique that mar-ries 2D image animation with 3D photography. Given a single still image as input, our goal is to generate a video that contains both visual content animation and camera motion. We empirically find that naively combining existing 2D image animation and 3D photography methods leads to obvious artifacts or inconsistent animation. Our key insight is that representing and animating the scene in 3D space offers a natural solution to this task. To this end, we first convert the input image into feature-based layered depth images using predicted depth values, followed by unprojecting them to a feature point cloud. To animate the scene, we perform motion estimation and lift the 2D motion into the 3D scene flow. Finally, to resolve the problem of hole emer-gence as points move forward, we propose to bidirectionally displace the point cloud as per the scene flow and synthe-size novel views by separately projecting them into target image planes and blending the results. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. A user study is also conducted to validate the compelling rendering results of our method.

Temporal concept shift (TCS) is an unavoidable problem in physiological signal-based emotion recognition tasks, i.e., the data distribution of physiological signals is constantly changing over time, which gradually degrades the model accuracy. To this end, we propose a method based on a combination of domain adaptation and incremental learning to reduce the impact of temporal concept drift. In this paper, domain adaptation is used to reduce the distribution differences and incremental learning is used to prevent the learned knowledge from being forgotten. Finally, we validate the effectiveness of our approach on two real datasets.

Aiming at the shortcomings of traditional point cloud segmentation algorithms, this paper proposes a 3D lidar point cloud segmentation method combining ground filtering and multi-scale twin range image construction. This method fully considers the geometric space distribution characteristics of the point cloud and the randomness of the positions between *** on the assumption of multi plane model, the point cloud is divided into sectors. The ground points are removed through region ground plane fitting and growth, and then the multi-scale twin range image is constructed according to non-ground *** the basis of the twin range image, the Breadth First Search algorithm is improved, the depth-breadth joint search strategy is proposed, all the points to be clustered are traversed, and the adaptive clustering threshold is used for point cloud clustering,which realizes a point cloud segmentation method with higher accuracy and robustness. Through the experimental analysis of KITTI dataset and collected campus outdoor scene dataset, compared with the traditional point cloud segmentation algorithm,the method proposed in this paper can effectively improve the point cloud segmentation accuracy and robustness of mobile robots in complex environments.

With the development of the maritime industry, the number and capacity of existing port cold-ironing (CI) equipment can no longer meet the power demand of ships during berthing, resulting in significant carbon emissions from ships within the port area. Therefore, a ship power sharing strategy based on Shapley value method and Cartel mechanism is proposed. Firstly, the rolling optimization model of ship power scheduling is established to adjust the ship power scheduling strategy according to the real-time information. Secondly, the cooperative game model of ship power sharing is established, and the cost sharing among cooperative ships is realized by Shapley value method. Finally, in order to reduce the situation that ships increase their own profits by deviating from cooperation and affect the overall profits, this paper introduces Cartel mechanism to punish the behavior of deviating from cooperation. The simulation results show that the power sharing strategy proposed in this paper can reduce the total ship cost and carbon emission by 5.28% and 3.78%, respectively. The introduction of Cartel mechanism can increase the cost of non-cooperative behavior, thus ensuring that all ships take cooperative behavior. The power sharing strategy based on Shapley method and Cartel mechanism proposed in this paper is helpful to the construction of green ports.

Deterministic-like data-driven discovery of stochastic differential equations via the Feynman–Kac formalism

This paper develops a data-driven deterministic identification architecture for discovering stochastic differential equations (SDEs) directly from data. The architecture first generates deterministic data for stochastic processes using the Feynman–Kac formula, and gives a parabolic partial differential equation (PDE) associated with the SDE. Then, a sparse regression model is proposed to discover drift and diffusion terms in SDEs using PDE data-driven techniques, where a large candidate library of potential terms only for the drift and diffusion coefficients in SDEs need be constructed. To simultaneously infer the drift and diffusion terms, we proposed a sequential thresholded reweighted least-squares algorithm to solve the constructed sparse regression model. The main advantage of the proposed method is that on the one hand, theoretical and numerical identification results of PDEs can be used for SDEs, on the score, our SDE identification problem is translated into the parameter estimation problem of PDEs, on the other hand, the proposed algorithm is easily executed and can enhance the sparsity and accuracy. Through several classical SDEs and ordinary differential equations, the effectiveness of the proposed data-driven method is demonstrated, and several comparison experiments with state-of-the-art approaches is provided to illustrate the superiority of the developed algorithm.

The multi-stack fuel cell system(MFCS) is an important basis for the application of solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC)technology to large-scale power generation *** can provide higher power,longer lifetime and better *** from the single-stack fuel cell system(SFCS),there may be some inconsistencies among the stacks in the *** the inconsistencies are ignored,they will significantly affect the lifetime of the *** study focuses on the lifetime extension of multi-stack SOFC power generation systems with inconsistent *** the multi-stack system of SOFC generally cannot control the flow rate of each stack respectively,it brings a difficulty to the control of the MFCS with inconsistencies among the *** order to overcome this difficulty,this paper built a multi-stack SOFC system model,which can characterize the degradation and inconsistencies among SOFC *** then designed a power distribution strategy based on fuzzy control to extend the lifetime of the *** strategy was verified by *** simulation results show that the strategy can effectively control the inconsistencies among the stacks and significantly extend the lifetime of the MFCS.

3D Multi-Object Tracking (MOT) is an important part of the unmanned vehicle perception module. Most methods optimize object detection and data association independently. These methods make the network structure complicated and limit the improvement of MOT accuracy. we proposed a 3D MOT framework based on simultaneous optimization of object detection and scene flow estimation. In the framework, a detection-guidance scene flow module is proposed to relieve the problem of incorrect inter-frame assocation. For more accurate scene flow label especially in the case of motion with rotation, a box-transformation-based scene flow ground truth calculation method is proposed. Experimental results on the KITTI MOT dataset show competitive results over the state-of-the-arts and the robustness under extreme motion with rotation. © 2022, CC BY-NC-SA.

In this work, we consider the consensus problem of the multi-agent system over matrix-weighted networks using an event-triggered mechanism. An event-triggered coordination strategy is proposed to steer this generalized category of multi-agent systems towards the bipartite consensus state. The triggering condition is periodically checked and distributed in the sense that the event detector only uses neighbors' information and local computation at discrete sampling instants. Moreover, it is shown that the triggering condition is closely related to the spectrum of matrix-valued weights corresponding to the edges in the matrix-weighted network. In the meantime, the Zeno phenomenon can be avoided automatically under the proposed event trigger approach. © 2021 IEEE
