Aiming at the problem that uncertain power sources bring fluctuation to power system and cause lots of wind and photovoltaic curtailment, a short-term optimized operation method of multi-energy power system based on complementary characteristics of power sources is presented. The complementary mechanism of multi-energy power system is established. Based on the complementary mechanism, mathematical models of complementary objectives and complementary demands are established. Define renewable energy complementary power source. To minimize complementary demands, the capacity matching ratio of hydropower in renewable energy complementary power source is determined. According to the complementary objectives, a hierarchical optimal operation strategy for multi-energy power system is proposed. Particle swarm optimization is used to solve the optimization objective function. Taking a provincial power grid in northwest China as an example, the results show that the strategy makes full use of the complementarity of power sources and has the benefit of energy saving. © 2019 IEEE.

Aiming at the power allocation problem of multiple energy storage power stations distributed at different locations in the regional power grid participating in frequency modulation services, a frequency modulation power optimization allocation strategy for multiple energy storage systems considering the dual constraints of frequency modulation cost and frequency modulation capability is proposed. Firstly, a multi-objective optimization allocation model for frequency modulation power is constructed with the minimum frequency modulation cost and minimum deviation of the state of charge (SOC) for energy storage power plants. Secondly, using Pareto based multi-objective genetic algorithm (MOGA) to solve the model, introduce adaptive weight coefficients and fuzzy membership functions for each objective function regarding the frequency regulation demand of the power grid and the deviation of the SOC of energy storage stations, construct a comprehensive satisfaction function to make decisions on the most advantageous points on the Pareto frontier, in order to obtain the optimal output of each energy storage station that can adapt to the frequency regulation requirements of the power grid. Finally, simulation analysis was conducted on the proposed strategy in this article, and the results showed that: The proposed strategy not only enhances the frequency regulation economy of the regional power grid, but also helps to restore the SOC of the energy storage power station.

A distributed stochastic power flow algorithm for distribution network based on inter-region scenario equivalence is proposed for the problem that the power injection of each node needs to be simulated with a large number of samples in the distribution network stochastic power flow algorithm, thus causing low computational efficiency. Firstly, the distribution network is divided into a backbone region and several sub-regions according to its radial structure characteristics, and the sampled power samples are partitioned; secondly, based on the inter-region power flow coupling relationship, the inter-region power flow action is replaced with the effect on the boundary quantity; then, a scenario equivalence method is proposed to merge the power scenarios that cause the same boundary injected power and boundary voltage. Finally, a distributed algorithm for distribution network stochastic currents is designed, and each region can complete the distributed solution of distribution network stochastic currents through the exchange of boundary equivalence scenario information and internal calculation, and the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed method in reducing time are verified in the IEEE123 node system calculation example.

The primary sources of harmonic distortion in the new power system are a high percentage of access to power electronic equipment and a high percentage of renewable energy grid connections. These factors pose a major risk to the UHV converter transformer oil-paper insulation performance. However, the influence law of harmonic voltage on the electric field distribution characteristics (EFDC) of oil-paper insulation is still unclear; thus, the law of variation of spatial maximum electric field strength (SMEFS) under the action of harmonic voltage and the EFDC on the surface of oil-immersed insulating paper are investigated in this paper by building a two-dimensional simulation model of the electric field distribution of oil-paper insulation under ball-plate and cylinder-plate electrode structure. The results indicate that the two electrode structures' SMEFS are situated in the narrow oil gap between the oil-impregnated insulating paper and the high-voltage electrode; under the influence of the same harmonic components, the insulating paper's surface exhibits an inverse power function decay in the electric field distribution, with the cylinder-plate electrode decaying more quickly than the ball-plate electrode. Meanwhile, for both electrode structures, with the increase of the 5th and 13th harmonics, the SMEFS and the insulating paper surface field strength both increase linearly and are higher than that of the power frequency field strength, while for the 7th and 11th harmonics, the ball-plate electrode weakens the electric field and then increases it with the increase of the harmonic content, whereas the cylinder-plate electrode only increases the electric field.

Based on the local voltage stability index, The sensitivity matrix of load node local voltage stability index to generator node excitation system reactive-voltage regulation coefficient is established. According to the sensitivity information, the reactive-voltage regulation coefficient of each generator is optimized to improve the static voltage stability of the power grid. The analysis results of 39 buses system verify the feasibility and accuracy of the proposed sensitivity matrix. When the reactive-voltage regulation coefficient of the key generator node which has a great impact on the static voltage stability of the load node is adjusted according to the sensitivity index, the static voltage stability of the power system could be improved. This study can contribute to realize the optimal setting of reactive-voltage regulation coefficient of generators in multi-machine system. © 2022, Politechnica University of Bucharest. The main causes of harmonic distortion in new power systems are high percentage renewable energy grid connections and high percentage power electronic equipment access. These factors pose a serious threat to the ultra-high voltage converter transformers’ ability to perform as oil-paper insulation, and little research has been done on the failure law of oil-paper insulation that takes the effects of harmonic voltage into account. This paper presents the design and construction of a typical oil-paper insulation structure breakdown test platform, as well as the oil-paper insulation breakdown voltage under various frequency and content of harmonic voltage superimposed on the fundamental voltage. The dual parameter WeiBull distribution model is used to investigate the oil-paper insulation failure law under the influence of various harmonic voltage components. The experimental results show that the breakdown voltage of oil-paper insulation significantly decreases relative to the breakdown voltage of power frequency under the action of harmonic voltages with different frequencies and contents, and all follow a dual parameter WeiBull probability distribution. Among them, the minimum $\boldsymbol{U}_{63.2 \%}$ is about 13.47 kV when the 7 th and 11th harmonic voltage are superimposed, and the minimum $U_{63.2 \%}$ is about 13 kV when the 5th and 13th harmonic voltage are superimposed, which is about $\mathbf{2 3 \%}$ lower than the power frequency. Secondly, the fitting distribution of test data under the action of harmonic voltage of different frequencies and contents is approximately parallel, indicating that the failure mechanism of oil-paper insulation is the same.

With the continuous improvement and development of urban power grid structures, it is inevitable that cable lines will need to be renovated and replaced. In the process of cable construction, the traditional cable cutting process involves independent operations, requiring a large amount of equipment and occupying a large area. Workers need to wear protective clothing when cutting, which is inflexible and inefficient. This approach is no longer adequate for the diverse and complex construction sites of today. To this end, a new type of integrated power cable cutting device is specially designed and developed, which combines testing and cutting, reducing the use of cable cutting tools. The newly developed circuit cutter is designed with features such as compact size, high structural strength, good cutting effect, strong adaptability, and remote control function. It can significantly improve the safety and convenience of cable cutting operations, which is of positive significance for improving construction quality and efficiency and ensuring the personal safety of operators. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, a slot-coupled microstrip line filter based on Defected Ground Structure (DGS) is designed. It is a band-pass filter. It is simulated by HFSS software. At the same time, the equivalent circuit of the designed filter is extracted by ADS software. The performance of the filter is verified by comparing the simulation results of the two filters.

First, analyze the frequency modulation demand situation and propose an optimized configuration method for coordinating the control strategy of a thermal-mixed energy storage system to assist thermal power units in frequency modulation. Then, based on the proposed optimized configuration method and coordination control strategy, develop a visualization simulation platform for the optimized configuration and coordinated control of thermal energy storage joint frequency modulation using Matlab App Designer. Finally, the case study is based on the measured data from a 300 MW thermal power unit in a certain region of China, and it conducts an analysis to verify the effectiveness of the visualization simulation platform.
