The use of wind power is rapidly growing worldwide as a means of reducing carbon emissions for the energy *** has the world’s largest wind power installation and multiple large-scale wind farm clusters,each comprising dozens of wind *** the planning and operation of the power system,it is important to understand the power fluctuation characteristics of wind farm *** studies demonstrate that the relative power fluctuation of a wind farm cluster is less than that of a single wind *** this decreasing trend a random occurrence or does it have a regular pattern?This scientific question is addressed by investigating the mechanism of the cumulative effect of a wind farm *** this study,a cumulative model is proposed by examining the spatiotemporal relationships of wind power variations and wind farm *** gain function and critical cumulative frequency are defined as the foundations to analytically describing the cumulative *** investigating the cumulative effect mechanism,the relationship between power fluctuation and spatiotemporal parameters of the wind farm cluster are *** power fluctuation of a cluster can be predicted using the cumulative model even before it is completely *** mechanism of the cumulative effect is validated on the basis of the data of two actual wind farm clusters.

The grid connection of a high proportion of re-newable energy generation increases the uncertainty in power ***,the flexibility margin of different energy sources needs to be quantified to cope with the uncertainty change and maintain the dynamic balance of power system *** this paper,first,the flexibility characteristics of source,net,load and power and load community(PLC)are *** dynamic equilibrium relationship among them is briefly ***,taking into full consideration the complex output characteristics of different energy sources and combining their respective flexibility characteristics,a quantitative model of the power source flexibility margin for thermal power,hydro-power,gas power and concentrating solar power is established.A quantitative model for a power source flexibility margin in PV and wind power based on blind number theory is ***,the calculation method of theoretical power generation capacity,which can reflect different characteristics of output power of various energy sources,is *** actual output power of each power source in each period is ***,a case study shows that the model and method can consider the operating characteristics of different types of power sources,and quickly and accurately quantify the adjustable range of flexibility margins of each power source at different periods of time,which can provide an important basis for evaluating the capacity of renewable energy consumption and the optimal operation of multi-energy power systems(MEPSs).

In this study, the density of metastable He2* in an atmospheric-pressure plasma jet operating in helium with 0.001% nitrogen has been measured using an auxiliary measuring electrode *** the glow discharge mode, waveforms from two grounding electrodes, including one main discharge electrode and one auxiliary electrode, are *** isolated current peak formed by Penning ionization in waveforms from the auxiliary measuring electrode is identified to calculate the density of metastable He2*.In our discharge environment, the helium metastable densities along the jet axis direction are between 2.26×1013 and 1.74×1013 cm-3,which is in good agreement with the results measured by other *** measurement technique can be conveniently applied to the diagnosis of metastable He2* in an atmospheric-pressure plasma jet array.

A method for generating wind power output scenarios based on improved conditional generative diffusion model

With the large-scale integration of wind power into the grid, accurately characterizing wind power uncertainty is crucial for power system *** address this, we propose an improved conditional generative diffusion model(ICGDM) for generating wind power output *** model is built upon a theoretical framework combining Markov chains and variational inference. First, a forward process transforms historical data into pure noise. Then, a reverse process, guided by conditional information, reconstructs scenarios that conform to the target distribution. Additionally, the noise schedule is modified to a cosine function, enhancing the quality of generated ***, the method is applied to wind power output data from the Flanders region. Results demonstrate that the proposed approach effectively and reliably generates wind power output scenarios with strong adaptability. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.

Distributionally robust electricity-carbon collaborative scheduling of integrated energy systems based on refined joint model of heating networks and buildings

The rapid increase in the grid integration demand of intermittent renewable energy (RE) has raised higher requirements for the flexible regulation and energy storage capacity of integrated energy systems (IES) with combined heat and power (CHP) units. To solve the issues of efficient accommodation of high proportion RE and low-carbon economic operation of the system, this study proposes an optimal scheduling method for IES based on a refined joint model of heating networks and buildings. Firstly, a refined thermal energy transmission model integrating heating networks and buildings is established to accurately depict the dynamic thermal energy transmission process within the system. Then, this paper proposes an electricity - carbon demand response considering the dynamic carbon emission factor, guiding users to use electricity in a low-carbon way. A distributionally robust optimization (DRO) scheduling model is established to quantify the impact of RE output uncertainty, which is efficiently solved using the column and constraint generation algorithm. The simulation results show that the proposed DRO model ensures the robustness of system operation while improving low-carbon economic benefits. Notably, the RE consumption rate is increased by 9.52 % compared with traditional scheduling methods, which provides an essential reference for promoting the sustainable development of IES. © 2025

Aiming at the power allocation problem of multiple energy storage power stations distributed at different locations in the regional power grid participating in frequency modulation services, a frequency modulation power optimization allocation strategy for multiple energy storage systems considering the dual constraints of frequency modulation cost and frequency modulation capability is proposed. Firstly, a multi-objective optimization allocation model for frequency modulation power is constructed with the minimum frequency modulation cost and minimum deviation of the state of charge (SOC) for energy storage power plants. Secondly, using Pareto based multi-objective genetic algorithm (MOGA) to solve the model, introduce adaptive weight coefficients and fuzzy membership functions for each objective function regarding the frequency regulation demand of the power grid and the deviation of the SOC of energy storage stations, construct a comprehensive satisfaction function to make decisions on the most advantageous points on the Pareto frontier, in order to obtain the optimal output of each energy storage station that can adapt to the frequency regulation requirements of the power grid. Finally, simulation analysis was conducted on the proposed strategy in this article, and the results showed that: The proposed strategy not only enhances the frequency regulation economy of the regional power grid, but also helps to restore the SOC of the energy storage power station. © 2023 IEEE.

A distributed stochastic power flow algorithm for distribution network based on inter-region scenario equivalence is proposed for the problem that the power injection of each node needs to be simulated with a large number of samples in the distribution network stochastic power flow algorithm, thus causing low computational efficiency. Firstly, the distribution network is divided into a backbone region and several sub-regions according to its radial structure characteristics, and the sampled power samples are partitioned;secondly, based on the inter-region power flow coupling relationship, the inter-region power flow action is replaced with the effect on the boundary quantity;then, a scenario equivalence method is proposed to merge the power scenarios that cause the same boundary injected power and boundary voltage. Finally, a distributed algorithm for distribution network stochastic currents is designed, and each region can complete the distributed solution of distribution network stochastic currents through the exchange of boundary equivalence scenario information and internal calculation, and the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed method in reducing time are verified in the IEEE123 node system calculation example. © 2023 IEEE.
