Spatially Coupled Codes via Bidirectional Block Markov Superposition Transmission

In this paper,we present a new class of spatially coupled codes obtained by using both non-recursive and recursive block-oriented *** resulting codes are termed as bidirectional block Markov superposition transmission(BiBMST)***,we perform an iterative decoding threshold analysis according to protograph-based extrinsic information transfer(PEXIT)charts for the BiBMST codes over the binary erasure channels(BECs).Secondly,we derive the generator and parity-check matrices of the BiBMST ***,extensive numerical results are presented to show the advantages of the proposed BiBMST ***,our numerical results show that,under the constraint of an equal decoding latency,the BiBMST codes perform better than the recursive BMST(rBMST)***,the simulation results show that,in finite-length regime,negligible performance gain is obtained by increasing the encoding *** solve this limitation by introducing partial superposition,and the resulting codes are termed as partially-connected BiBMST(PC-BiBMST)*** results have confirmed the advantages of the PC-BiBMST codes over the original BiBMST *** also present extensive simulation results to show the performance advantages of the PC-BiBMST codes over the spatially coupled low-density parity-check(SC-LDPC)codes,spatially coupled generalized LDPC(SC-GLDPC)codes,and the original BiBMST codes in the finite-length regime.

The reliability of a network is an important indicator for maintaining communication and ensuring its stable operation. Therefore, the assessment of reliability in underlying interconnection networks has become an increasingly important research issue. However, at present, the reliability assessment of many interconnected networks is not yet accurate,which inevitably weakens their fault tolerance and diagnostic capabilities. To improve network reliability,researchers have proposed various methods and strategies for precise assessment. This paper introduces a novel family of interconnection networks called general matching composed networks(gMCNs), which is based on the common characteristics of network topology structure. After analyzing the topological properties of gMCNs, we establish a relationship between super connectivity and conditional diagnosability of gMCNs. Furthermore, we assess the reliability of g MCNs, and determine the conditional diagnosability of many interconnection networks.

A cost-efficient quantum access network with qubit-based synchronization

Quantum key distribution(QKD)is a physical layer encryption technique that enables two distant parties to exchange secure keys with information-theoretic *** the last two decades,QKD has transitioned from laboratory research to real-world applications,including multi-user quantum access networks(QANs).This network structure allows users to share a single-photon detector at a network node through time-division multiplexing,thereby significantly reducing the network ***,current QAN implementations require additional hardware for auxiliary tasks such as time *** address this issue,we propose a cost-efficient QAN that uses qubit-based *** this approach,the transmitted qubits facilitate time synchronization,eliminating the need for additional synchronization *** tested our scheme by implementing a network for two users and successfully achieved average secure key rates of 53.84 kbps and 71.90 kbps for each user over a 50-km commercial fiber *** addition,we investigated the capacity of the access network under cross-talk and loss *** simulation results demonstrate that this scheme can support a QAN with 64 users with key rates up to 1070 *** work provides a feasible and cost-effective way to implement a multi-user QKD network,further promoting the widespread application of QKD.

An Enhancing Stability Control Strategy of VSG-Based Power Source Under PWM Rectifier Load

Under PWM rectifier load, the power source based on virtual synchronous generator (VSG) is prone to cause mid-frequency oscillation. Firstly, the system oscillation mechanism and characteristic of the VSG-based power source are analyzed based on impedance method. Due to the negative resistance and capacitive characteristic in the middle frequency range, the PWM rectifier load is prone to interact with the VSG-based power source, which can lead to impedance resonance. Secondly, to improve the stability of the VSG-based power source under the PWM rectifier load, a voltage differentiation feedforward control is proposed. In addition, since the mid-frequency impedance magnitude decrease obviously, the improved VSG-based power source is closer to the ideal voltage source, which can automatically suppress the middle harmonics induced by uncontrollable rectifier load. Finally, the proposed control and the corresponding theoretical analysis are verified by simulations and experiments. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

Motion In-betweening with Spatial and Temporal Transformers

Motion in-betweening that aims to generate motion transitions between known keyframes plays a significant role in the 3D character animation industry. However, generating long-term transitions is highly challenging due to the non-stationary nature and considerable spatio-temporal uncertainty of motions. Leading transformer-based methods operate at a single temporal scale while they overlook the spatial interactions among joints and temporally hierarchical structure of motions, leading to the generation of over-smoothed and weak transitions. In this paper, we propose a novel spatio-temporal framework for the motion in-betweening task. First, a spatial transformer is introduced to capture the per-frame spatial dependencies among joints, enhancing the capability of the model to generalize across diverse action types. Furthermore, to alleviate over-smoothing, a multi-scale temporal transformer is designed to generate dynamic and realistic transitions by capturing the hierarchical structure of motions, which includes both global motion trends and local subtle variations. Extensive experiments on the LAFAN1 dataset demonstrate that our method achieves state-of-the-art performance compared to existing methods. In addition, the corresponding ablation studies and sensitivity analyses verify the effectiveness of the proposed spatio-temporal framework. © 1991-2012 IEEE.

Metaphor, as an advanced form of cognition, is challenging to understand their meaning. Current metaphor detection tasks only provide labels (i.e., metaphor or literal) without interpreting how to understand them. In this paper, we improve the metaphor detection task and explore the reason of metaphor. To the best of our knowledge, we are the first work to reason about metaphor using mainstream Large Language Models (LLMs). Specifically, we utilized ChatGPT3.5 to expand the mainstream datasets in current metaphor detection, including VUA ALL, TroFi, and MOH-X. We input the original sentence, target word, and usage (metaphor or literal) into ChatGPT, guiding it to generate corresponding metaphor reason. Then, we designed supervised baseline experiments (e.g., RoBERTa, GPT-2) and zero-shot experiments with LLMs (e.g., LLaMA3). For the results generated by the above experiments, we provided the case study. We devised four methods that include manual evaluation to evaluate the reason performance of the model, and discussed extensively the advantages and disadvantages of these evaluation methods. To meet the challenge of camouflaged object detection （COD）,which has a high degree of intrinsic similarity between the object and background,this paper proposes a double-branch fusion network（DBFN）with a parallel attention selection mechanism （PASM）.In detail,a schismatic receptive field block（SRF）combined with an attention mechanism for low-level information is performed to learn texture features in one branch,and an integration of the SRF,a hybrid attention mechanism （HAM）,and a depth feature polymerization module （DFPM）is employed for high-level information to extract detection features in the other ***,both texture features and detection features are input into the PASM to acquire selective expression ***,the final result is obtained after further selective matrix optimization with atrous spatial pyramid pooling （ASPP）and a residual channel attention block （RCAB）being applied *** results on three public datasets verify that our method outperforms the state-of-the-art methods in terms of four evaluation metrics,i.e.,mean absolute error （MAE）,weighted F βmeasure （Fβω）,structural measure （Sα）,and E-measure （Eφ）

To solve the problem that the performance of the coverage,interference rate,load balance andweak power in the radio frequency identification(RFID)network *** paper proposes an elite opposition-based learning and Lévy flight sparrow search algorithm(SSA),which is named elite opposition-based learning and Levy flight SSA(ELSSA).First,the algorithm initializes the population by an elite opposed-based learning strategy to enhance the diversity of the ***,Lévy flight is introduced into the scrounger’s position update formula to solve the situation that the algorithm falls into the local optimal *** has a probability that the current position is changed by Lévy *** method can jump out of the local optimal *** the end,the proposed method is compared with particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm,grey wolf optimzer(GWO)algorithm and SSA in the multiple simulation *** simulated results showed that,under the same number of readers,the average fitness of the ELSSA is improved respectively by 3.36%,5.67%and 18.45%.By setting the different number of readers,ELSSA uses fewer readers than other *** conclusion shows that the proposed method can ensure a satisfying coverage by using fewer readers and achieving higher comprehensive performance.

Polar codes are considered as one of the most competitive channel coding schemes for the future wireless communication *** improve the performance of polar codes with short code-length for control channels,a sphere decoding algorithm based on received value flipping is proposed in this *** a codeword fails the cyclic redundancy check,the algorithm flips the received value with low reliability and forms a new received ***,this new sequence is sent to the decoder for another decoding *** addition,we also compare the performance of different flipping sets and evaluate the influence of the associated flipping set *** results show that,the proposed algorithm can achieve performance improvement over additive white Gaussian noise channel with acceptable *** the(64,16)polar code,the proposed algorithm can achieve about 0.23 dB 10-3performance gain at frame error rate=,compared to the conventional sphere decoding ***,we also verify the applicability of the proposed algorithm over Rayleigh fading channel and observe similar results.
