A U-shaped-like parasitic strip loading antenna is proposed and designed, which can work in L1 band of GPS with circular polarization (CP) characteristics. The antenna consists of ground plane, dielectric, radiation patch and U-shaped-like parasitic strips using a simple coaxial feed probe. The asymmetric U-shaped-like strips are to realize CP. The simulation and optimization results for the modeled directional CP antenna show that the axial ratio bandwidth is 10MHz and the impedance bandwidth is 30MHz, which can meet the requirements for GPS L1 band. © 2022 IEEE.

In a multi-cloud storage system, provenance data records all operations and ownership during its lifecycle, which is critical for data security and audibility. However, recording provenance data also poses some challenging security and storage issues. In this paper, we present a secure and efficient multi-cloud storage data source scheme, BMDP. We use blockchain technology to ensure the secure storage of provenance data and design a smart contract to utilize the provenance data to ensure the proper operation of the multi-cloud storage system. Finally, we analyze the scheme's safety and do simulation experiments to show that the scheme has practicality. © 2023 IEEE.

Haptic data compression has gradually become a key issue for emerging real-time haptic communications in Tactile Internet (TI). However, it is challenging to achieve a tradeoff between high perceptual quality and compression ratio in haptic data compression scheme. Inspired by the perspective of embodied AI, we propose a cross-modal haptic compression scheme for haptic communications to improve the perception quality on TI devices in this paper. Since multimodal fusion is routinely employed to improve the ability of system in cognition, we assume that haptic codec is guided by visual semantics to optimize parameter settings in the coding process. We first design a multi-dimensional tactile feature fusion network (MTFFN) relying on multi-head attention mechanism. The MTFFN extracts the multi-dimensional features from the material surface and maps them to infer the coding parameters. Secondly, we provide second-order difference and linear interpolation to establish an criterion for the determination of optimal codec parameters, which are customized by the material categories so as to give high robustness. Finally, the simulation results reveal that our compression scheme can efficiently make a personalized codec procedure for different materials, obtaining more than 17% improvement in terms of compression ratio with high perceptual quality at the same time. © 2025 IEEE.

This paper proposes a Da-shaped slotted antenna, where the Chinese culture is integrated into the antenna design to achieve an artistic antenna that can be used in 5G communication system. The designed antenna has circular polarization characteristic, which is composed of ground plane, dielectric layer and metal sheet A engraved with Da-shaped slot, and a U-shaped wall (metal sheet B). A simple L-shaped feed probe is used to improve the working bandwidth of the antenna. A U-shaped metal sheet B is considered to improve antenna gain and axial ratio bandwidth. The simulation and optimization results show that the axial ratio bandwidth is 2.30-2.71GHz, and the impedance bandwidth is 2.44-2.7GHz, both of which can cover operating frequency in the range of 2.515-2.675GHz of 5G. © 2022 IEEE.

Since one entity may have multiple mentions and relations between entities may stretch across multiple sentences in a document, the annotation of document-level relation extraction datasets becomes a challenging task. Many studies have identified that these datasets contain a large number of noisy labels, hindering performance improvement for the document-level relation extraction task. The previous and most straightforward method is denoising noisy labeled data from a data annotation perspective. However, this time-consuming approach is not suitable for large-scale datasets. In this paper, we propose a novel Positive-Guided Knowledge Distillation (PGKD) model to address the noisy labeled data problem for document-level relation extraction. We design a new teacher-student architecture. The teacher model trained with only positive samples can partially supervise the student model. The positive-guided knowledge distillation algorithm transfers the clean positive-class patterns from the teacher model to the student model. In this way, the student model trained with all samples can efficiently prevent the interference of false negative samples. Extensive experiments on Mix-DocRED demonstrate that PGKD achieves state-of-the-art effectiveness for document-level relation extraction with noisy labeled data. Moreover, PGKD also surpasses other baselines even on the well-annotated Re-DocRED. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Diffusion models are initially designed for image generation. Recent research shows that the internal signals within their backbones, named activations, can also serve as dense features for various discriminative tasks such as semantic segmentation. Given numerous activations, selecting a small yet effective subset poses a fundamental problem. To this end, the early study of this field performs a large-scale quantitative comparison of the discriminative ability of the activations. However, we find that many potential activations have not been evaluated, such as the queries and keys used to compute attention scores. Moreover, recent advancements in diffusion architectures bring many new activations, such as those within embedded ViT modules. Both combined, activation selection remains unresolved but overlooked. To tackle this issue, this paper takes a further step with a much broader range of activations evaluated. Considering the significant increase in activations, a full-scale quantitative comparison is no longer operational. Instead, we seek to understand the properties of these activations, such that the activations that are clearly inferior can be filtered out in advance via simple qualitative evaluation. After careful analysis, we discover three properties universal among diffusion models, enabling this study to go beyond specific models. On top of this, we present effective feature selection solutions for several popular diffusion models. Finally, the experiments across multiple discriminative tasks validate the superiority of our method over the SOTA competitors. Colorectal cancer is a disease with a very high mortality rate, making timely diagnosis and prevention a crucial task. In clinical practice, the detection of intestinal polyps presents challenges due to their small size, complex background, and large span in target scale, making it difficult to accurately detect small targets. Existing detectors struggle to adaptively extract discriminative features, and their detection heads lack specificity, leading to difficulties in accurately identifying polyps against similar intestinal wall backgrounds. To address this issue, we propose a Bi-level Routing Attention and Asymmetric Dual-Head based framework for intestinal polyp detection(BRA-LADH). This approach enhances the detection capabilities of the branches through strategies such as global information fusion and adaptive sample selection. It dynamically sets thresholds for each target, ultimately solving the problems of missed and false detections caused by high similarity between the foreground and background and large variations in target scale, thus improving detection accuracy. Qualitative and quantitative experiments on three datasets demonstrate that this method outperforms existing ones, showing strong stability and generalization performance.

Cloud storage services have been used by most businesses and individual users. However, data loss, service interruptions and cyber attacks often lead to cloud storage services not being provided properly, and these incidents have caused financial losses to users. Second, traditional and single-cloud model disaster recovery services are no longer suitable for the current complex cloud storage systems. Therefore, a scheme to provide disaster recovery for cloud storage services in a multi-cloud storage environment is needed in real production. In this paper, we propose a disaster recovery scheme based on blockchain technology. The proposed scheme outlined in this study aims to address the issue of data availability within the cloud storage landscape. The proposed scheme achieves this goal by dividing data into hot and cold categories, verifying the integrity of copy data via blockchain technology, and utilizing blockchain networks to manage multi-cloud storage systems. Experimental findings demonstrate that the proposed scheme yields superior results in terms of computation and time overheads. © 2023 IEEE.

Based on the equivalent circuit model of PIN diode and the full wave simulation method of CST software, the system performance of finite large energy selective surface (ESS) is simulated and analyzed when the number of cells is small. The simulation results show that the working performance of ESS will be degraded by the slight surface deformation caused by external force but not fail completely. Therefore, in the practical application of ESS, attention should be paid to avoid deformation caused by external force extrusion, which will reduce the shielding performance of ESS. The simulation results provide reference value for the practical design and application of energy selective surface. © 2022 IEEE.
