Due to the fine search process and strong global convergence of the artificial bee colony(ABC) algorithm, it is regularly taken in the parameter optimization of the hydraulic turbine regulating system(HTRS).However, the standard ABC algorithm still exist some problems such as slow convergence speed and low convergence ***, a chaotic and global ABC(CGABC) algorithm is proposed to overcoming these *** them, the global optimal is used to enhance the global exploration ability of the bee colony, and in order to increase the diversity of the population and help the bee colony to jump out of the local optimal solution, namely enhancing the local exploration ability of the population, the chaos optimization is *** integral for sum of the systematic error absolute value and system overshoot and the time product is taken as the fitness function of the algorithm, which is the performance evaluation index of the bee *** CGABC algorithm was used for simulation experiments of HTRS system when it is under different frequency and load disturbance *** results show that compared with ZN algorithm, fuzzy strategy, DE algorithm and ABC algorithm, the proposed CGABC algorithm significantly improves the dynamic transition process of HTRS system.

To overcome the insufficiency of standard bat algorithm in solving the non-convex optimal power flow(OPF) problems, a novel multi-objective modified bat algorithm(MOMBA) is proposed in this *** superiority of MOMBA algorithm with constrained Pareto-dominant approach(CPA), which improves the global-exploration ability and population-diversity by nonlinear inertia weight, can be validated by three multi-objective OPF simulation *** testing cases considering the quadratic fuel cost, emission and active power loss, are implemented on the IEEE 30-bus and IEEE 57-bus *** results demonstrate that the suggested MOMBA algorithm can obtain well distributed Pareto front(PF) and effectively handle the multi-objective OPF problems.

A widely used linear model of a two-area non-reheat thermal system equipped with proportional-integral-derivative(PID) controllers is considered for the design and analysis purpose in this *** simulation model of Load Frequency control(LFC) has been developed under MATLAB/Simulink *** controller parameters are optimized using the Artificial Intelligence technique based Ant Colony Optimization(ACO) *** comparison with an optimized PID controller based on hBFOA-PSO, PSO and GA, simulation results emphasis on the better performance of the optimized PID controller based on ACO over a wide range of operating conditions and system parameters variations.

Mission planning was thoroughly studied in the areas of multiple intelligent agent systems,such as multiple unmanned air vehicles,and multiple processor ***,it still faces challenges due to the system complexity,the execution order constraints,and the dynamic environment *** address it,a coordinated dynamic mission planning scheme is proposed utilizing the method of the weighted AND/OR tree and the *** the scheme,the mission is decomposed into a time-constraint weighted AND/OR tree,which is converted into an AOE-network for mission ***,a dynamic planning algorithm is designed which uses task subcontracting and dynamic re-decomposition to coordinate *** scheme can reduce the task complexity and its execution time by implementing real-time dynamic *** simulation proves the effectiveness of this approach.

Multi-parameter simultaneously sensing based on an optimized concatenated FBG with LPG

We analyze an optical fiber sensor based on a concatenated fiber Bragg grating (FBG) with long period grating (LPG) with transfer matrix method and experiment. First, we optimize parameters of concatenated structure in the method of simulation and discuss the influence that the lengths, periods and dc induced index changes of FBG and LPG and length of optical fiber between LPG and FBG has to influence reflection spectrum. Second, based on the optimized parameters for concatenated structure, fabricate such structure and use it to monitor concentration and temperature simultaneously. Simulation result proves that increasing the lengths of FBG and LPG properly, and length of optical fiber between LPG and FBG fixed in 20 mm, more clearly reflection spectrum can be obtained. Experiment result shows a novel optical fiber sensor based on a concatenated strong fiber Bragg grating with a weak long period grating (CLBG) device can be used to monitor concentration and temperature simultaneously. The result of research has reference value in multi-parameter simultaneously sensing. © 2015 by De Gruyter.

Utilizing high-resolution antenna arrays and wide bandwidth of the millimeter-wave (mmWave) spectrum in 5G new radio (NR) mmWave communication systems holds the potential for high-throughput data transmission while enabling user localization and environmental mapping. However, the majority of existing simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) algorithms rely on methods akin to the extended Kalman filter for generating initial map features. These methods prove ineffective when the measurement dimension is insufficient. Furthermore, there is a notable absence of research exploring mmWave prototype systems to evaluate and compare the performance and viability of various SLAM algorithms. To address these challenges, we propose an innovative probability hypothesis density (PHD) generation scheme for birth events and have developed a prototype system. Our approach, referred to as PHD-SLAM, exhibits remarkable effectiveness even in scenarios where the measurement dimension falls short of map features. This means it can function seamlessly with only delay or angle information available. Additionally, we have designed a 28GHz mmWave beam scanning prototype system that leverages the 5G NR frame for accomplishing SLAM algorithms. Following this, we conducted extensive simulations and experimental evaluations to gauge the performance of several leading-edge SLAM algorithms under diverse mmWave circumstances, encompassing PHD-based and belief propagation (BP) SLAM algorithms. Our analysis reveals that both PHD and BP SLAM can achieve agent localization precision within a decimeter and mapping precision within a meter, capitalizing on the angle parameters of mmWave signals. While BP SLAM showcases reduced computational demand, its estimation precision is marginally inferior to that of PHD-SLAM. © 2014 IEEE.

To improve the accuracy and interactivity of soft tissue delormatlon simulation, a new plate spring model based on physics is proposed. The model is parameterized and thus can be adapted to simulate different organs. Different soft tissues are modeled by changing the width, number of pieces, thickness, and length of a single plate spring. In this paper, the structural design, calcula- tion of soft tissue deformation and real-time feedback operations of our system are also introduced. To evaluate the feasibility of the system and validate the model, an experimental system of haptic in- teraction, in which users can use virtual hands to pull virtual brain tissues, is built using PHANTOM OMNI devices. Experimental results show that the proposed system is stable, accurate and promising for modeling instantaneous soft tissue deformation.

With the development of communication and sensing technology, it has become possible to monitor the operating status of the power grid system through a series of sensors. However, malicious adversaries may launch data integrity attacks to compromise the measurements of certain sensors, causing the grid monitoring system to fail to grasp the correct system operating status. To solve the NP-hard suspicious sensor selection problem, this paper proposes an efficient attack detection scheduling algorithm, the Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm based on historical information directional guidance (HIDG-based PSO algorithm). The proposed algorithm is utilized with its unique evolutionary mechanism, which reduces the computational power requirements for sensor selection. For the problem of uncertainty in evolutionary algorithms, this paper uses historical information to guide the selection of suspicious sensors at the current moment. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can efficiently select suspicious sensors, which will greatly improve the efficiency of attack detection and ensure the security of information fusion of the power grid monitoring system. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper concerns the consensus of the second order vehicle platoon system in presence of stochastic noise. The control protocol is designed to achieve the desired control objective under the predecessor-follower topology. The control objectives include: speeds of all vehicles in the platoon reach the consensus and the spacings between adjacent vehicles approach to be identical. Firstly, the necessary and sufficient conditions are obtained to reach consensus in the noise-free case. Then, the stochastic consensus of the platoon with the hidden layer is analyzed by using the knowledge of stochastic differential equation(SDE). The conditions of control parameters are derived to ensure the almost sure exponential consensus of the platoon. Finally,simulation experiments show the effectiveness of the proposed results.
