Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) is expected to improve the energy and spectral efficiency of communication systems. Probability hypothesis density (PHD) simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) without explicit data association is one of the mainstream algorithms for implementing sensing function in ISAC. However, most existing research focused on multi-sensor and multi-user sensing fusion, while few studies involve multi base station (BS) fusion schemes. In this study, we introduce the virtual reference point rather than common used virtual anchor to model reflecting surface to form a consistent description of the surrounding environment among different BSs. Then, the estimation results of BSs are sequentially utilized as prior information, which is compared with arithmetic average (AA) and generalized covariance intersection (GCI) fusion algorithms. To improve the poor performance of existing schemes when filed of view (FoV) of different BSs is partial overlapped, we propose the concept of establishing global cloud map. The AA fusion algorithm is integrated into cloud fusion to improve the map estimation performance. Simulation results demonstrate that the performance of sequential fusion is superior to AA and GCI schemes when FoVs of different BSs are fully overlapped. Besides, the cloud map fusion scheme can obtain global maps even if some features are no longer in FoV, as well as improve the accuracy and stability of local maps estimation for each BS. © 2023 IEEE.

With the advent of cloud computing, more and more consumers prefer to use the cloud services with the pay-as-you-consume mode. The cloud storage brings about great convenience to users, who store data in cloud and access to it using the smart devices anytime and anywhere. Consumers' information should be encrypted to guarantee the data privacy. Flexible searching on ciphertext is a critical challenge to be solved for effective data utilization. In this paper, we propose a novel semantic keyword searchable proxy re-encryption scheme for secure cloud storage. A highlight of this work is that the scheme is quantum attack resistant, while most of the available searchable encryption schemes are not. It supports not only exact keyword search but also synonym keyword search. Moreover, the data owner is capable to delegate his search right to another user using the proxy re-encryption mechanism. In the generation process of re-encryption key, the delegator and delegatee do not need to be interactive with each other. The scheme is also collusion resistant. In this paper, the output feedback stabilization problem for a class of discrete-time networked control systems (NCSs) with uncertain transition probability matrix and random packet dropouts are investigated. Random packet dropouts occurring in the sensor-to-controller (S-C) and controller-to-actuator (C-A) are modeled as Markov chain. The resulting closed-loop systems are modeled as discrete-time Markovian jump linear systems (MJLSs) with uncertain transition probability matrix. Sufficient conditions for existence of a output feedback controller which guarantees the stochastic stability of NCS are established based on stochastic Lyapunov function and linear matrix inequality approach. A simulation example illustrates the validity and feasibility of the results.

A fast channel modeling method is studied to solve the problem of reflection channel gain for multiple input multiple output-visible light communications (MIMO-VLC) in the paper. For reducing the computational complexity when associating with the reflection times, no more than 3 reflections are taken into consideration in VLC. We think that higher order reflection link consists of corresponding many times line of sight link and firstly present reflection residual component to characterize higher reflection (more than 2 reflections). We perform computer simulation results for point-to-point channel impulse response, receiving optical power and receiving signal to noise ratio. Based on theoretical analysis and simulation results, the proposed method can effectively reduce the computational complexity of higher order reflection in channel modeling. © 2018 Walter de Gruyter GmbH, Berlin/Boston 2018.

In this paper, an efficient and reliable approach based on hybrid modified cuckoo search algorithm (MCS) combining with differential evolutionary algorithm (DE) (named MCS-DE) is proposed to solve optimal reactive power dispatch (ORPD) problem with minimization of power losses (Ploss), voltage stability index (Lindex) and voltage deviation (Vd) as objectives. The original CS method often converges to local optima. In order to avoid this shortcoming, a series of modifications is purposed to the assimilation policy rule of CS. The variations of the two main parameters and an improved search equation are introduced into the MCS-DE to improve local search near the global best, and it profits from DE to further improve the optimization performance. The proposed MCS-DE is examined and implemented on IEEE 30-bus and IEEE 57-bus test power systems with three different objectives. The simulation results presented in this paper demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of hybrid MCS-DE approach for solving ORPD problem and it can be made better results compared to the CS, DE, and other methods reported in the literature as demonstrated by simulation results. © International Association of Engineers.

Cuckoo search (CS) algorithm is a novel heuristic algorithm, which can effectively solve the optimization problem by simulating the brood parasitism of some cuckoo species and combining with Lévy flight mechanism. However, it has also been shown to have certain weaknesses, especially falling into local optimums. Therefore, a novel CS algorithm with feedback control and local search mechanism (FLCS) is proposed in this paper. In the FLCS, feedback control is introduced to enhance the efficiency of search process, and local search mechanism is guided by the global optimal solution for improving the poor local search ability of CS method. To verify the performance of our approach, 21 test functions of different types are first employed. Then, the FLCS has been performed on the IEEE 30-bus power flow test case for optimal power flow (OPF) problem with valve point effect. The results indicate that the proposed FLCS method clearly has better performance than CS in the solution accuracy and convergence speed. In addition, the comparison results show that FLCS performs better than other evolutionary methods from literature for different functions. © International Association of Engineers.

This paper introduces the multi-objective cuckoo search (MOCS) method for solving the multi-objective optimal power flow (MOOPF) which is a multi-variable, multi-constraint and nonlinear programming problem. In order to speed up convergence and enhance the quality of solution, the quasi-opposition based learning mechanism is adopted to propose the multi-objective quasi-oppositional cuckoo search (MOQOCS) algorithm in this paper. In MOCS and MOQOCS methods, the feasibility-prior domination principle (FDP) is presented to ensure the feasibility of simulation result which is based on the objective values and the sum of constraint violation values. The crowding-distance sorting is considered to enhance the diversity of Pareto-optimal solutions and obtain better distributed Pareto optimal front. IEEE 30-bus and IEEE 57-bus systems have been considered to check the performance of the proposed methods. The simulation results confirm that MOQOCS algorithm obtains superior compromise solution and produces better distributed Pareto optimal front compared to other methods. © International Association of Engineers.

In this paper, a new multi-objective improved bat algorithm (MOIBA) is proposed to solve the constrained multi-objective optimal power flow (MOOPF) problem with contradictory objectives. The proposed MOIBA algorithm, introducing nonlinear inertia weight, global optimal guiding mechanism and monotone random filling model based on extreme (MRFE), can improve the shortcomings of basic bat algorithm which is easy to fall into local optimum. A Pareto-dominant method with constraint priority (PMC) is proposed to ensure that state variables can satisfy the inequality constraints of MOOPF problem. To obtain well-distributed Pareto optimal set (POS), an elite non-dominated sorting method with crowding-distance (ESCD) isadopted. In addition, a fuzzy affiliation approach (FAA) is used to select the best compromise (BC) from the obtained POS. The IEEE 30-bus, IEEE 57-bus and IEEE 118-bus systems are employed to evaluate the effectiveness of MOIBA with four objectives, which includes optimizing basic fuel cost and emission concurrently, optimizing basic fuel cost and active power loss concurrently, optimizing fuel cost with value-point loadings and active power loss concurrently, optimizing basic fuel cost, emission and active power loss concurrently. The legion experimental results obtained by MOIBA, which are contrast to MOPSO and MODE algorithms, validate that MOIBA has definite competitive advantages to achieve satisfactory POS. Furthermore, two performance metrics, generational distance (GD) and spacing (SP), are chosen to estimate the distribution and diversity of Pareto solutions obtained by MOIBA. © International Association of Engineers.

The millimeter-wave (mmWave) communication technology, which employs large-scale antenna arrays, enables inherent sensing capabilities. Simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) can utilize channel multipath angle estimates to realize integrated sensing and communication design in 6G communication systems. However, existing works have ignored the significant overhead required by the mmWave beam management when implementing SLAM with angle estimates. This study proposes a joint beam management and SLAM design that utilizes the strong coupling between the radio map and channel multipath for simultaneous beam management, localization, and mapping. In this approach, we first propose a hierarchical sweeping and sensing service design. The path angles are estimated in the hierarchical sweeping, enabling angle-based SLAM with the aid of an inertial measurement unit (IMU) to realize sensing service. Then, feature-aided tracking is proposed that utilizes prior angle information generated from the radio map and IMU. Finally, a switching module is introduced to enable flexible switching between hierarchical sweeping and feature-aided tracking.
