PPEC: A Privacy-Preserving, Cost-Effective Incremental Density Peak Clustering Analysis on Encrypted Outsourced data

Call detail records (CDRs) provide valuable insights into user behavior, which are instrumental for telecom companies in optimizing network coverage and service quality. However, while cloud computing facilitates clustering analysis on a vast scale of CDR data, it introduces privacy risks. The challenge lies in striking a balance between efficiency, security, and cost-effectiveness in privacy-preserving algorithms. To tackle this issue, we propose a privacy-preserving and cost-effective incremental density peak clustering scheme. Our approach leverages homomorphic encryption and order-preserving encryption to enable direct computations and clustering on encrypted data. Moreover, it employs reaching definition analysis to optimize the execution flow of static tasks, pinpointing the optimal junctures for transitioning between the two types of encryption to reduce communication overhead. Furthermore, our scheme utilizes a game theory-based verification strategy to ascertain the accuracy of the results. This methodology can be effectively deployed on the Ethereum blockchain via smart contracts. A comprehensive security analysis confirms that our scheme upholds both privacy and data integrity. Experimental evaluations substantiate the clustering accuracy, communication load, and computational efficiency of our scheme, thereby validating its viability in real-world applications. © 2025 IEEE. PosFuzz:augmenting greybox fuzzing with effective position distribution

Mutation-based greybox fuzzing has been one of the most prevalent techniques for security vulnerability discovery and a great deal of research work has been proposed to improve both its efficiency and ***-based greybox fuzzing generates input cases by mutating the input seed,i.e.,applying a sequence of mutation operators to randomly selected mutation positions of the ***,existing fruitful research work focuses on scheduling mutation operators,leaving the schedule of mutation positions as an overlooked aspect of fuzzing *** paper proposes a novel greybox fuzzing method,PosFuzz,that statistically schedules mutation positions based on their historical *** makes use of a concept of effective position distribution to represent the semantics of the input and to guide the *** first utilizes Good-Turing frequency estimation to calculate an effective position distribution for each mutation *** then leverages two sampling methods in different mutating stages to select the positions from the *** have implemented PosFuzz on top of AFL,AFLFast and MOPT,called Pos-AFL,-AFLFast and-MOPT respectively,and evaluated them on the UNIFUZZ benchmark(20 widely used open source programs)and LAVA-M *** result shows that,under the same testing time budget,the Pos-AFL,-AFLFast and-MOPT outperform their counterparts in code coverage and vulnerability discovery *** with AFL,AFLFast,and MOPT,PosFuzz gets 21%more edge coverage and finds 133%more paths on *** also triggers 275%more unique bugs on average.

Human pose estimation (HPE) relies on the anatomical relationships among different body parts to locate keypoints. Despite the significant progress achieved by convolutional neural networks (CNN)-based models in HPE, they typically fail to explicitly learn the global dependencies among various body parts. To overcome this limitation, we propose a spatial-aware HPE model called SSpose that explicitly captures the spatial dependencies between specific key points and different locations in an image. The proposed SSpose model adopts a hybrid CNN-Transformer encoder to simultaneously capture local features and global dependencies. To better preserve image details, a multiscale fusion module is introduced to integrate coarse- and fine-grained image information. By establishing a connection with the activation maximization (AM) principle, the final attention layer of the Transformer aggregates contributions (i.e., attention scores) from all image positions and forms the maximum position in the heatmap, thereby achieving keypoint localization in the head structure. Additionally, to address the issue of visible information leakage in convolutional reconstruction, we have devised a self-supervised training framework for the SSpose model. This framework incorporates mask autoencoder (MAE) technology into SSpose models by utilizing masked convolution and hierarchical masking strategy, thereby facilitating efficient self-supervised learning. Extensive experiments demonstrate that SSpose performs exceptionally well in the pose estimation task. On the COCO val set, it achieves an AP and AR of 77.3% and 82.1%, respectively, while on the COCO test-dev set, the AP and AR are 76.4% and 81.5%. Moreover, the model exhibits strong generalization capabilities on MPII. © 2024 IEEE.

As the scale of the networks continually expands,the detection of distributed denial of service(DDoS)attacks has become increasingly *** propose an intelligent detection model named IGED by using improved generalized entropy and deep neural network(DNN).The initial detection is based on improved generalized entropy to filter out as much normal traffic as possible,thereby reducing data *** the fine detection is based on DNN to perform precise DDoS detection on the filtered suspicious traffic,enhancing the neural network’s generalization *** results show that the proposed method can efficiently distinguish normal traffic from DDoS *** with the benchmark methods,our method reaches 99.9%on low-rate DDoS(LDDoS),flooded DDoS and CICDDoS2019 datasets in terms of both accuracy and efficiency in identifying attack flows while reducing the time by 17%,31%and 8%.
