Massive Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output (MIMO) communications are considered as one of the most promising directions for the next generation communications and have attracted extensive research interests. The using of exponential model is recognized as an effective manner to describe the spatial correlation matrix in a spatially correlated MIMO channel for its simple form and accurate fitting on the experimental measurements. Based on this useful exponential model, an improved upper bound on the maximum eigenvalue of the spatial correlation matrix is given in this paper. Complying with the existing results, the proposed upper bound is also a function of the number of antennas and the absolute value of correlation coefficient. However, the proposed upper bound is obtained using a trace-based derivation, which is tighter than existing results in high spatial correlation massive MIMO systems. Simulations show that the proposed upper bound is closer to the true maximum eigenvalues for both uniform linear array and uniform planar array scenarios, which is expected to be widely used in massive MIMO systems. © 2019 IEEE.

Laser beams with ns pulse width are generally employed as an excitation source in the process of detecting inclusions and elemental segregation on a workpiece surface by microanalysis of the laser-induced breakdown *** addition,the ablation crater interval of laser sampling on the sample surface is generally 20μm or *** is difficult to detect the morphology of inclusions smaller than 50μm in diameter and the micro-segregation of ***,in this work,when the laser ablation crater is 10μm and the sampling resolution of the laser on the sample surface is 5μm,the morphology and distribution of spherical inclusions(20–60μm)in ductile iron can be detected according to the difference of the Fe spectrum on the Fe matrix and the spheroidal ***,the distribution of micro-segregation of Mg and Ti elements in ductile iron was also studied.

To address the performance degradation of wide-band spectrum sensing by sub-Nyquist sampling (SNS) in wireless fading channels, two compressive subspace learning (CSL) algorithms are proposed for signal subspace learning based on antenna cross-correlations for further improving the sensing performance. Both algorithms are developed based on different organizations of SNS samples, and both exploit space diversity and noise uncorrelations between antennas. We further establish the expressions for statistical covariance matrices (SCMs) obtained by SNS samples in the multi-antenna SNS cognitive radio system. Based on the derived SCM expressions, conditions to ensure SCMs without noise contamination are given. Simulations validate the derived conditions and show the improvement on sensing performance over related works. © 2019 IEEE.

The internal availability of silent speech serves as a translator for people with aphasia and keeps human–machine/human interactions working under various *** paper develops a silent speech strategy to achieve all-weather,natural *** strategy requires few usage specialized skills like sign language but accurately transfers high-capacity information in complicated and changeable daily *** the strategy,the tattoo-like electronics imperceptibly attached on facial skin record high-quality bio-data of various silent speech,and the machine-learning algorithm deployed on the cloud recognizes accurately the silent speech and reduces the weight of the wireless acquisition module.A series of experiments show that the silent speech recognition system(SSRS)can enduringly comply with large deformation(~45%)of faces by virtue of the electricitypreferred tattoo-like electrodes and recognize up to 110 words covering daily vocabularies with a high average accuracy of 92.64%simply by use of small-sample machine *** successfully apply the SSRS to 1-day routine life,including daily greeting,running,dining,manipulating industrial robots in deafening noise,and expressing in darkness,which shows great promotion in real-world applications.

Multi-axis robotic arms are extensively utilized in intelligent manufacturing scenarios, with trajectory control in flexible scenarios constituting a primary challenge. Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) represent advanced methods that integrate physical laws with data-driven approaches. Despite their outstanding performance in integrating theory and data, research on their application for controlling robotic arms in complex scenarios remains limited. This paper establishes a nonlinear dynamic model based on the physical relationships between the axes of robotic arms. In the absence of prior data, Sobol sequence random sampling is employed to generate data, which are subsequently trained using PINNs. Considering system noise, the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) is utilized to predict the next state in noisy environments, and Nonlinear Model Predictive control (NMPC) is implemented to control the robotic arm for trajectory tracking, achieving real-time control. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed Discrete Physics-Informed Predictive control (DPIPC) method exhibits smaller position and velocity errors with less fluctuation compared to the method in the reference, indicating superior control capabilities. © 2024 IEEE.

The robust controller is designed for certain BTT missile which is equipped with grid fin. In order to design the controller of BTT missile, the aerodynamic force of grid fin is analyzed when the grid fin rotates in flying, then the aerodynamic force and aerodynamic moment along with movement equations are linearized based on the small perturbation linear theory, the beginning state of the cruise is chosen as the feature point, and then the dynamical coefficient are calculated, then the longitudinal and lateral perturbation equations are established. The dynamic responses of each motion deviation under the longitudinal and lateral free disturbance are obtained through solving the perturbation equations. The transfer functions and the dynamic responses under the step deflection of grid fin are derived, then the dynamic characteristics of the missile can be obtained. The results indicate that the grid fin can provide favorable stability. The H controller of pitch and lateral bank channels are designed based on dynamic characteristics analysis, the simulation results indicate that the system dynamic performance can satisfy the requirement, and H controller has a fine robustness for the parametric variation.

In recent years, the use of drones to assess the safety status of insulators in power transmission systems has become a trend. To facilitate the application of intelligent algorithms on drone platforms, this paper proposes a lightweight insulator string defect detection method based on an improved YOLOv5. Firstly, to decrease the parameter count in the YOLOv5 backbone module, we opted for GhostNet. Considering the limitations of GhostNet in feature extraction, a lightweight attention mechanism is designed and integrated with GhostNet to enhance the accuracy of capturing defect features in insulator strings. Additionally, to further reduce parameters in the neck part of the YOLOv5 model, Ghost Convolution is introduced. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed model performs excellently on the insulator string dataset and meets the requirements for real-time defect detection of insulators using drones. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

A rotary ultrasonic motor using bending vibration transducers is proposed. In each transducer, two orthogonal bending vibrations are superimposed and an elliptical trajectory is generated at the driving foot. Typical output of the prototype is a no-load speed of 58 rpm and maximum torque of 95 N·m under an exciting voltage of 200 Vrms. © 2010 IEEE.
