Effective spare parts inventory management can not only ensure timely maintenance of equipment maintenance activities, but also reduce inventory capital occupation and improve the economic benefits of enterprises. In this paper, we present a condition-based maintenance strategy that considers spare parts issues for systems, with the goal of jointly optimizing conditional-based maintenance and spare parts management. Random systems are gradually degraded and continuously monitored. Spare parts supply using (S-1,S) type inventory strategy. According to the proposed strategy, the replacement of components is based on the actual degree of degradation, which is caused by the demand for spare parts. The Monte Carlo simulation method was used to simulate the proposed condition-based maintenance and spare parts replacement strategy. Therefore, the optimal solution is obtained by jointly optimizing the spare parts and condition-based maintenance of the components. Finally, a numerical example is delivered to show the proposed method.

This paper introduces a novel framework, the unified closest point method (CPM) using the least-squares generalized finite difference method (LS-GFDM), to solve the surface partial differential equations (PDEs). Our approach addresses key limitations of existing embedding methods by unifying the computation of finite difference weights and interpolation into a single step, enabling efficient and reasonably accurate solutions on scattered data points. Unlike traditional CPM frameworks that rely on the finite difference method (FDM) and require interpolation to restrict solutions on the surface, potentially introducing additional errors, our LS-GFDM eliminates the need for interpolation. Furthermore, compared to the orthogonal gradient method (OrG) based on radial basis function (RBF) methods, which requires specialized data point arrangements, our method offers greater flexibility by accommodating any arbitrary point set. Higher-order schemes for LS-GFDM are easily achieved by increasing the order of the Taylor series expansion, and the method can be readily extended to other embedded methods. numerical experiments demonstrate that the proposed framework is less sensitive to the narrow band domain size and showcases good effectiveness and robustness for solving surface PDEs. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2025.

The energy radiation process of an airgun seismic source in land reservoir is studied based on the underwater wavelet data collected in the airgun excitation experiments in Binchuan, Yunnan, China. The empirical formula for calculating the bubble pulsation period and the maximum radius of the underwater airgun seismic source is obtained. The results show that: ① The energy radiation efficiency is higher vertically than horizontally. ② The vertical bubble energy radiation efficiency increases with the increase of the air supply pressure. ③ The vertical energy radiation efficiency of the airgun seismic source is 9.4% when the air supply pressure is 15 MPa. ④ The higher the air supply pressure, the further the propagating distance of the superposition-enhanced pressure wave of an airgun source.

Improving the simulation of terrestrial water storage anomalies over China using a Bayesian model averaging ensemble approach

The ability to estimate terrestrial water storage(TWS)is essential for monitoring hydrological extremes(e.g.,droughts and floods)and predicting future changes in the hydrological ***,inadequacies in model physics and parameters,as well as uncertainties in meteorological forcing data,commonly limit the ability of land surface models(LSMs)to accurately simulate *** this study,the authors show how simulations of TWS anomalies(TWSAs)from multiple meteorological forcings and multiple LSMs can be combined in a Bayesian model averaging(BMA)ensemble approach to improve monitoring and *** using three forcing datasets and two LSMs were conducted over China's Mainland for the period 1979–*** the simulations showed good temporal correlations with satellite observations from the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment during 2004–*** correlation coefficient ranged between 0.5 and 0.8 in the humid regions(e.g.,the Yangtze river basin,Huaihe basin,and Zhujiang basin),but was much lower in the arid regions(e.g.,the Heihe basin and Tarim river basin).The BMA ensemble approach performed better than all individual member *** captured the spatial distribution and temporal variations of TWSAs over China's Mainland and the eight major river basins very well;plus,it showed the highest R value(>0.5)over most basins and the lowest root-mean-square error value(<40 mm)in all basins of *** good performance of the BMA ensemble approach shows that it is a promising way to reproduce long-term,high-resolution spatial and temporal TWSA data.

A predictive functional control method based on disturbance observer is proposed to improve the performance of the permanent magnet linear synchronous motor servo system,which is usually characterized by nonlinearity,uncertainty and *** disturbance observer is applied to estimate the disturbance in real time and then compensation current is produced to restrain the load disturbance in the speed *** simulation results show that the controller based on the disturbance observer and predictive functional controller can improve the response speed and steady-state accuracy of the *** the controller shows strong robustness and anti-disturbance,it can be used to effectively control the complex systems.

Comparison of the modified Monod and Droop function combined with Logistic function for describing algae growth

Microcystis aeruginosa (M. aeruginosa) are algae found in common freshwater blooms in China, and Dunaliella tertiolecta (D. tertiolecta) are economically important marine algae. Understanding of the microbial growth kinetics plays a significant role in the management of M. aeruginosa's blooms and biodiesel production by D. tertiolecta. This study has shown that the combination of mechanistic models (Logistic and Monod) proved to be efficient in describing relationship between M. aeruginosa growth rates and specific concentrations of total dissolved phosphorus (TDP), orthophosphate (PO43--P), total dissolved nitrogen (TDN) and ammonia (NH4+-N) reasonably with R2=0.28-0.93. Meanwhile, results also show that both PO43--P and NH4+-N are important forms of TDP and TDN in influencing M. aeruginosa growth. It was also noted that the combination of modified Monod and Logistic functions is suitable for describing specific growth rates of D. tertiolecta versus extracellular nitrate concentrations (R2=0.24-0.72). In terms of the combination of Droop and Logistic functions, it was analysed to better explain the relationships between M. aeruginosa specific growth rates and cellular P and N concentrations (R2=0.41-0.86) as compared to the application of Droop function alone. It is also observed that the relationship between D. tertiolecta specific growth rates and intracellular nitrate concentrations also can be well described by the combination of Logistic and Droop functions. In addition, M. aeruginosa growth was affected by less intracellular P concentrations than intracellular N concentrations. In sum, the combination of modified Monod and Logistic functions and the combination of Droop and Logistic functions all can predict algae growth reasonably well, while the combination of Droop and Logistic functions is slightly better. Design of multi-bus communication system for E-workshop

In order to solve the defects of the low level of intelligence, poor scalability and low communication rate of the point-to-point protocol converter in the traditional E-workshop. Based on the existing CAN/RS485/Ethernet protocol, a workshop communication system based on STM32F4 control chip is designed. The communication interface of CAN/RS485/Ethernet and the software implementation of protocol conversion are given. The simulation and experimental results show that the data transmission rate of the communication system is significantly better than the traditional point-to-point protocol converter, and the data transmission is accurate and the bit error rate is low. Therefore, the communication system is more in line with the development needs of manufacturing communications.

Based on the SIEMENS PLC control system, a multi agent system model of e workshop is established. The real-time data transmission problem and delay model are analyzed. On this basis, the traditional Greedy algorithm is improved and applied to multi Agent systems. The simulation results show that the algorithm can effectively improve the efficiency of system scheduling. The more tasks the system has, the longer the scheduling time saved.

In this paper we propose a method named spacetime stereo phase-shift for fast 3D shape measurement. It combines the advantages of the spacetime stereo approach and phase-shift approach. We first generate two different binary random patterns. In each projection cycle, four patterns including three phase-shift patterns and one binary random pattern are projected. In the two adjacent projection cycles, the two random patterns are switched alternatively, which is the main feature distinguishing the proposed approach with other approaches. As a result, we can use five image pairs for reconstruction without increasing the number of the patterns. Detailedly, we use the two image pairs of the random patterns (one of them is from the previous projection cycle) to establish the dense and subpixel-level correspondences by combining the wrapped phase maps from the three-step phase-shift method in the spacetime stereo framework. With an extra random pattern, the discrimination of the matching window can be enhanced greatly so that a simple local stereo matching method using the normalized cross correlation (NCC) can be utilized to acquire reliable matching. Experimental results show that the proposed method can improve the reconstruction results evidently. © 2017 IEEE.
