In this study, polysaccharides were extracted from Brassica rapa L. (BRL) using ultrasonication-assisted extraction. The purified Brassica rapa L. polysaccharide (BRLPP) was structurally characterized, and its protective effects against alcoholic liver disease (ALD) were investigated. First, response surface methodology (RSM) was employed to optimize the extraction conditions, which were determined as a material-to-liquid ratio of 1:30 and ultrasonication at 200 W for 3 h, yielding BRLP at 6.90% ± 0.39%. Subsequent structural analysis revealed that BRLPP had an average molecular weight of 5.72 × 104 Da and was primarily composed of glucose and arabinose in a molar ratio of 94.29:3.06. GC-MS analysis further identified three major glycosidic linkage patterns: →4)-G1cp-(1→, →4,6)-G1cp-(1→, and →3,4) - G1cp-(1→. BRLPP exhibited potent antioxidant activity, demonstrating significant scavenging effects on DPPH and ABTS+ radicals. To evaluate its hepatoprotective potential, a zebrafish ALD model was established using 2% ethanol exposure. The results indicated that BRLPP effectively attenuated ethanol-induced liver damage by reducing serum ALT and AST levels. Additionally, BRLPP mitigated oxidative stress by modulating the activities of key biomarkers, including SOD, MDA, and GSH-Px. These findings suggest that BRLPP possesses notable antioxidant and hepatoprotective properties, highlighting its potential as a bioactive ingredient in functional foods for ALD prevention and treatment. © 2025, The Authors. This work developed hydroxyl‑functionalized covalent organic framework (COF) via ambient-temperature synthesis and integrated it with sodium alginate-Ca²⁺-polyacrylate hydrogel to form composite microspheres (CACMPs) for dispersive solid-phase extraction (dSPE) of five fluoroquinolone antibiotics in milk , eggs and river water. Combining COF with hydrogel can effectively improve the hydrophilicity of adsorbent. The CACMPs do not require centrifugation and can be completely separated within one minute. After five cycles, they still maintain high extraction efficiency (>90 %). Coupled with HPLC-MS/MS, the method achieved a wide linear range (0.01-100 ng/mL), low detection limits (0.05-0.42 μg/kg), and high precision (RSD ≤20.5 %). Validation via spiked samples yielded recoveries of 80.3-117.3 %, confirming reliability for monitoring FQ residues in dairy. Design of CACMPs combines COF adsorption capacity with hydrogel practicality, offering a sustainable, efficient solution for antibiotic analysis in complex matrices.

Ultrasonic imaging technology has advanced rapidly, the escalating demand for imaging quality has driven the continuous development of ultrasonic transducers featuring high-performance. Among them, the crucial factors constraining the further enhancement of imaging quality are the frequency of the device and the intensity of the echo signal. Piezoelectric composites have become a hotspot for ultrasonic transducers and imaging applications due to their excellent properties. However, due to the limitations of the accuracy of the cutting process, the development of piezoelectric/polymer composites is often undermined by undesirable pseudo-vibrations, especially in high-frequency applications, which will significantly reduce energy conversion efficiency. In this study, a novel design method of 1–3 piezoelectric composites with gradient nanoparticle doped polymer is proposed to eliminate the undesired lateral vibrations. Based on the optimized composites, a high-performance composite ultrasonic transducer with a center frequency of 8.51 MHz is prepared. Compared with the traditional composite transducer, the optimized transducer improves the echo voltage amplitude significantly, reaching nearly 3 times. The above advantages are further verified in high-quality ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging. The optimization method has valuable guidance for the design of high-frequency composite transducers, which have great potential in ultrasonic and photoacoustic imaging applications.

Electron beam melting (EBM) is three-dimensional (3D) printing technologies that can manufacture multi-functional porous scaffolds with exact structures for the application of surgical operations. In the past decade, thousands of acetabular implants manufactured by EBM or SLM have been designed into acetabular cups with certain porosity for surgical operations. Particles of 3D printed porous Ti6Al4V implants will adhere between sintered interface and non-sintered interface of porous sample during 3D printing. However, the internal excess particles of complex structural parts are difficult to remove. During long-term cyclic loading, stress strain can cause residual Ti6Al4V particles to fall off. These detached Ti6Al4V particles are scattered around the implant and are contact with osteoblasts. In our study, we detected the influence of the differentiation concentration of Ti6Al4V particles on bone of rats. The influence of the differentiation concentration of Ti6Al4V particles on bone was evaluated by distal femoral defects in rats. Micro-CT and biochemical analysis were used to evaluate all of the rats after 12 weeks. Outcomes demonstrated that low concentration Ti6Al4V particles may improve the osteogenesis of SD rat through micro-CT. Serum markers implied that the differentiation concentration of Ti6Al4V particles didn't influence on hepatic and renal functions. In conclusion, Low-dose residual particle does not induce a decrease in bone mineral density (BMD) of rats. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The air-drying process, an essential step in duck processing, significantly enhances the aroma intensity. However, the role of proteins in aroma formation of air-dried duck meat is unknown. The proteomics and volatilomics approach is applied to investigate how the protein metabolism pathways regulate the aroma development of ducks. Twenty key aroma compounds containing ( E, E )-2,4-decadienal were identified in ducks, among which the concentrations of most key odorants significantly increased during air-drying. Interestingly, the ( E, E )-2,4-decadienal was regarded as a key aroma compound, serving as a biomarker for the discrimination of ducks. Differentially expressed proteins were identified among 6–24 h and 0 h samples, which might predominantly regulate the aroma intensities through amino acid metabolism, protein modification, and fatty acid degradation. The Perilipin 1, Anapl_06479, and Akr1b10_3 were the key proteins that regulated the key aroma formation in air-dried duck meat, particularly Perilipin 1. This study will contribute to regulating the protein composition of duck meat from the perspective of optimizing the air-drying process, thereby enhancing the aroma intensity of the product.

This paper aims to establish the simplest human walking model and provide a guide for controlling biped robots. Firstly, a human motion capture system was utilized to sample the motion data of human walking and a representative subject was selected. Secondly, one of the simplest human walking model was set up. The mechanical property analysis of human walking was done based on the established walking model via fitting. Thirdly, the feasibility and effectiveness of proposed walking model were validated by numerical simulations. Finally, the intrinsical relationships among human walking, biped walking model and control were discussed to provide a guide and insight for controlling biped robots.

In this paper, finite element simulation is carried out for BGA sample. The authors establishes the model of fixture, ceramic panel and metal sheet. Based on this model, several layers papers are laid on the metal sheet for simulation test. Then, ANASYS Workbench is used to conduct transient analysis of the samples to study the influence of different thickness papers on acceleration and time. The results provide useful reference for the adjustment of dynamic response parameters.

The curing formula is vital to the performance of epoxy resin impregnated paper (RIP) material. This work explored the effect of curing agents and accelerator contents on the thermal and electrical properties of RIP material. It was found that the RIP material cured with 1phr accelerator has the optimal glass transition temperature, electrical conductivity, dielectric loss and DC breakdown strength compared with RIP material cured by 0.5phr, 2phr, and 3phr accelerator. The RIP material cured with MEHHPA has better thermal and insulating properties compared with the RIP material cured with METHPA. The existence of the crepe paper amplifies the influence of accelerator and curing agent for the hydroxyl groups affect the curing process as well as the chain segment arrangement. This study provides the research support for the design of the curing formula for RIP insulation used in DC bushing. © 1994-2012 IEEE.

In the research of virtual hepatic surgery, the synthesis of hepatic texture space and the texture mapping of the hepatic body model are inseparable. Different methods for hepatic volume texture on the authenticity and mapping speed tend to have much difference. Based on computer unified device architecture (CUDA), this paper tries to present a texture synthesis and mapping method for the accelerating of hepatic body, which is used to solve the problem that traditional method under the hepatic volumetric texture synthesis and mapping process cost too much time. This new method may eliminate the traditional serial correlation of texture synthesis. What’s more, it may improve the efficiency of texture synthesis when the multithreading parallel processing for synthesis in the hepatic volumetric texture space in selecting and distributing blocks based on CUDA architecture. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2019.
