Redundant backup system is a common system in the real world, especially in aviation, electromechanics and other fields. Therefore, it is meaningful to give the parameter estimation of redundant systems. Previous research has given some results about the order and failure rate of the redundancy distributed redundant backup system, thus providing consumers with a computed and measurable product reliability calculation method. By using the irreplaceable censored life test, Providing a statistical significance of the estimation formula. However, the properties of estimation are not given and how to improve it. The study gives the estimation properties in probabilistic sense, which is asymptotic convergence in probability. Continue to improve the estimator on variance, so as to achieve asymptotic minimum consistent variance estimation. Effects of Exogenous 5-Aminolevulinic Acid and 24-Epibrassinolide on Cd Accumulation in Rice from Cd-Contaminated Soil

High grain-Cd-accumulating rice variety Yongyou 9 was planted in Cd-contaminated farmland in Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, China to study the effects of 5-aminolevulinic acid(ALA) and24-epibrassinolide(EBR) on Cd accumulation in brown rice. Results showed that the exogenous ALA and EBR had no significant effects on agronomic traits, soil pH and total Cd content in soil, but had some effects on the available Cd content in soil, and significantly influenced the Cd accumulation in the different parts of rice. Results also showed that 100 mg/L exogenous ALA significantly reduced the Cd accumulation in brown rice to blow the food safety standard(0.2 mg/kg), and also significantly reduced the Cd contents in the roots and culm of rice. However, 200 mg/L exogenous ALA treatment increased the Cd content in brown rice remarkably. In addition, 0.15 mg/L EBR treatment increased Cd accumulation in roots, culm, leaves and brown rice notably, whereas 0.30 mg/L exogenous EBR treatment reduced the Cd accumulation in brown rice properly, but it was not significant. Therefore,proper concentration of ALA can effectively reduce the Cd accumulation in brown rice, which can be used as an effective technical method for the safe production of rice in Cd polluted farmland.

The intestinal microbiota plays a crucial for maintaining host health, nutrient absorption, immune regulation, and pathogen resistance. This study investigated the effects of temperature stress on the intestinal microbiota of largemouth bass, an aquaculture species highly sensitive to temperature fluctuations. Fish were acclimated to 20°C and 35°C for two weeks, and then divided into four groups that were subjected to stable or sudden temperature changes (T20–20°C, T20→35°C, T35→20°C, T35–35°C). After a 7-day exposure, intestinal microbiota was analyzed via 16S rRNA gene high-throughput sequencing. Results showed that temperature stress significantly altered microbiota composition and diversity. The relative abundances of Cetobacterium, Epulopiscium, Citrobacter, and Aeromonas were significantly increased in the cold stress (T35→20°C) group and heat stress (T20→35°C) group. In T35–35°C group, the relative abundance of the harmful bacterium Edwardsiella was significantly greater than that in the other groups (P < 0.05). Temperature stress significantly altered intestinal microbiota diversity in largemouth bass. Temperature shifted from 35°C to 20°C increased bacterial network complexity, indicating enhanced cooperation for environmental adaptation. Sustained exposure to 35℃ reduced key species connectivity in co-occurrence networks, destabilizing the microbial community structure compared to 20℃ controls. Positive bacterial interactions were more prevalent at low temperatures (T20–20°C). Temperature stress primarily influenced gut microbiota assembly through stochastic processes, reducing homogenous dispersal and increasing pathogenic bacteria sensitivity. These results demonstrate that temperature stress disrupts intestinal microbiota homeostasis, impairing host health and aquaculture management. The findings provide critical insights for optimizing thermal management in aquaculture systems.

Dynamic Response of a Cat Head Type Transmission Tower-line System under Strong Wind

Transmission tower plays important role in the power system and it is security sensitive in various working conditions, such as wind and ice. In this paper, a method to obtain the dynamic response of a cat head type transmission tower under strong fluctuating wind was proposed. The coupled tower-lines finite element model was established in ABAQUS, and the equivalent acceleration of fluctuating wind was simulated by MATLAB. Then the displacements and stresses time histories were obtained. The method introduced in this paper can be used to assess the safety of tower under different fluctuating wind with different directions and provide a reference of the tower in the design stage.

Preliminary release inventories of unintentionally generated dl-PCB and HCB from sources in China: Base year 2015

This research presents release inventories of unintentionally generated dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls (dl-PCB) and hexachlorobenzene (HCB), which so far have not been developed or assessed. For the inventory development, the amended Toolkit methodology as developed for reporting under the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants, has been applied. Based on the activity rate (AR) obtained from various statistical yearbooks, reports, or scientific literature, and the emission factors (EFs) suited to each technology level, we estimated the preliminary release inventories of unintentionally produced dl-PCB and HCB from 36 source categories in China for the reference year 2015. The result showed that in 2015, 656 g TEQ of unintentionally produced dl-PCB and 2,145,504 g (or 2146 kg) of unintentionally generated HCB were released in China from these 36 source categories. Most of dl-PCB and HCB was released to air, 71% or 60%, respectively. For comparison - and for the sources which could be estimated for all three unintentional POPs - the total releases of PCDD/PCDF were 5695 g TEQ per year. Of these, 78% were released to air. For dl-PCB and HCB, the vast majority of the releases from the source group 7 - Production and use of consumer goods - is found in the products and not in air. With respect to source attribution and releases to air, the source groups SG3 - Heat and power generation and SG2 - Ferrous and non-ferrous metal production dominate the air emission inventory. Due to the lack of EFs, the calculated releases to the water and land were not well covered, which overall results in an underestimation of the total releases for all unintentional POPs. For comparison, the release inventories from Japan and from several other countries that were developed using methodologies other than the UNEP Toolkit are presented as well.

In this study, a novel and rapid spectrophotometric method for accurately measuring permanganate index (COD_Mn) in water samples was developed using 2,2′-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline)-6-sulfonate (ABTS) as an indicator. Under acidic conditions, ABTS is rapidly oxidized by residual potassium permanganate in the digest solution, forming a stable green ABTS^•+ radical within just 20 s. Subsequently, ABTS^•+ can be accurately quantified by visible spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 415 nm. In the range of 0 to 4.46 mg/L, the absorbance change of ABTS^•+ at 415 nm showed a strong linear relationship with the concentration of COD_Mn (R² = 0.999). The method has high sensitivity, with a low limit of detection for COD_Mn of 0.010 mg/L. It is worth noting that the ABTS method is resistant to chloride ion interference and demonstrates high accuracy when applied to real water samples, with recovery rates ranging from 98.59 % to 99.93 %. Compared to the national standard titration method and other previously reported spectrophotometric methods, the ABTS method is simpler and more environmentally friendly. In conclusion, the proposed ABTS spectrophotometric method represents a promising approach for the accurate and rapid determination of COD_Mn in water, providing a feasible alternative to traditional methods for COD_Mn determination. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

The global market for New Psychoactive Substances (NPS) has grown exponentially over the past decade. A large number of structurally variant NPSs have been synthesized by chemically modifying existing NPSs to circumvent the regulation, which greatly increases the difficulty of detecting NPSs. In this paper, a global–local multi-scale convolutional neural network model was constructed by combining multi-scale convolutional neural network and Raman spectroscopy techniques, and trained and validated based on Raman spectroscopy data of 236 NPS standard samples. Compared with the traditional classification model, the model can capture the overall and detailed features of the spectral data more efficiently, and the recognition accuracy of the NPSs of synthetic cannabinoids, synthetic cathinones, phenethylamines, fentanyl analogs, tryptamines, phencyclidine and piperazines in the validation set reaches 100.00%. In addition, this paper tested the model using Raman spectral data of 520 NPS seized samples (including 8 structurally variant NPS samples), and the weighted accuracy of the test was 99.43%, and 7 out of 8 structurally variant NPS samples were correctly classified. The experimental results show that the method proposed in this paper can not only realize the non-targeted identification of existing NPS, but also provide a new way to accurately identify the structurally variant NPS.

The article describes the importance of microwave digestion system in many different scientific fields, and proposes a calibration method for lack of calibration specification in China. The method focuses on temperature, pressure and output power. It defines their measuring points, technical requirements. An experiment is carried out to calibrate the output power with its expanded measurement uncertainty. The calibration method can be referenced in daily calibration service of such apparatus.

The interaction between abrasive particles and optical element surface can result in various forms of subsurface damage while removing the material. In order to obtain the stress distribution during optical glass grinding, the finite element analysis of optical glass grinding is carried out by using ANSYS software. The stress distribution of optical glass was obtained by establishing the grinding model of consolidated abrasive and free abrasive. The simulation results show that different abrasives have different damage degrees to the glass surface, which provides a useful reference for improving the quality of optical material processing technology.

Residual Stress Analysis of Laser Welding Between Output Needle and Helix

In order to obtain the welding stress of the output needle and helix, a finite element model is established and the mesh at the weld is refined to evaluate the welding residual stress. ANSYS parameter design language is used to simulate the motion load of welding heat source. Based on the exact calculation of the temperature field, the corresponding thermal units are converted into structural units to calculate the welding residual stress. Finally, the thermal stress distribution curve and residual stress distribution trend are obtained after post-treatment.
