Luminescent mixed-crystal Ln-MOF thin film for the recognition and detection of pharmaceuticals

The development of simple and reliable methods for recognition and detection of pharmaceuticals has been a matter of great concern. In this work, a series of mixed-crystal lanthanide metal-organic frameworks (Ln-MOFs) were synthesized by solvothermal method. Among them, MLMOF-3 was selected and fabricated to form nanoscale crystals and prepare luminescent Ln-MOF thin film. The different changes of emission intensity ratio of 5 D 0 → 7 F 2 (Eu 3+ , 619 nm)– 5 D 4 → 7 F 5 (Tb 3+ , 547 nm) transitions depending on the guest molecules enabled MLMOF-3 film to recognize different pharmaceutical molecules. Moreover, the intensity ratio was observed to linearly correlate to the concentration of pharmaceuticals. Compared to the traditional absolute emission intensity method based on single lanthanide ions, mixed-crystal Ln-MOF thin film generated more stable and accurate luminescent signals, which is an excellent candidate of self-referencing and self-calibrating luminescent sensor for various applications.

In this paper, the thermal and structural analysis of the PCBA system is provided by using the 3-D ANSYS package. The results of thermal and structural analysis for complex and simple model are compared. The paper also describes the deformation analysis of the PCBA system components, and the weak components sensitive to thermal stress are determined though thermal-structual analysis. The results of thermal analysis are helpful to the optimizing overall arrangement design of PCBA system. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In this paper, the locally thinned three-way structure under internal pressure is analyzed based on the theory of plastic strengthening effect and limit analysis. A finite element model is presented through ANSYS commercial software to simulate the mechanical properties of orthogonal and oblique three-way structures. This paper systematically analyses how the shape and size of the thinning effect the plastic limit load of the pipe and what is the typical failure mode of plastic failure. Some valuable conclusions are drawn, which provide a useful reference for the design and production of the tee pipe.

In this paper, the thermal analysis and structural analysis of MLCC are carried out by using the commercial finite element software ANSYS. By comparing the thermal-mechanical analysis results of the structural optimization models of different schemes, the optimal optimization scheme is found. The model calculated the time required for MLCC to reach temperature stability considering thermal convection and heat conduction, and obtained the thermal deformation and thermal stress distribution of MLCC element. Based on the analysis results of MLCC original model, the thermal analysis under different wave soldering temperatures was carried out. Based on the simulated transient results, the structure and materials of MLCC key components were optimized. The results provide a basis for the optimal design of MLCC.

Ultimate Strength Analysis of Three-Way Pipe Considering Plastic Reinforcement Effect

Considering the plastic reinforcement effect in materials, the plastic limit load of the three-way structure is analyzed. ANSYS commercial finite element software is used for numerical simulation. According to the results, the paper discusses the influence of the plastic reinforcement effect on the pipe's plastic ultimate load and failure mode. And the structure is further analyzed to verify the theory and design ideas in actual engineering. For improving the design and safety assessment of the three-way structure, the results provide a theoretical basis and a numerical reference, and the finite element method is economical than the experimental method. At last, it satisfies the accuracy requirements of engineering.

This paper introduces the multi-objective cuckoo search (MOCS) method for solving the multi-objective optimal power flow (MOOPF) which is a multi-variable, multi-constraint and nonlinear programming problem. In order to speed up convergence and enhance the quality of solution, the quasi-opposition based learning mechanism is adopted to propose the multi-objective quasi-oppositional cuckoo search (MOQOCS) algorithm in this paper. In MOCS and MOQOCS methods, the feasibility-prior domination principle (FDP) is presented to ensure the feasibility of simulation result which is based on the objective values and the sum of constraint violation values. The crowding-distance sorting is considered to enhance the diversity of Pareto-optimal solutions and obtain better distributed Pareto optimal front. IEEE 30-bus and IEEE 57-bus systems have been considered to check the performance of the proposed methods. The simulation results confirm that MOQOCS algorithm obtains superior compromise solution and produces better distributed Pareto optimal front compared to other methods. © International Association of Engineers.

In this paper, an efficient and reliable approach based on hybrid modified cuckoo search algorithm (MCS) combining with differential evolutionary algorithm (DE) (named MCS-DE) is proposed to solve optimal reactive power dispatch (ORPD) problem with minimization of power losses (Ploss), voltage stability index (Lindex) and voltage deviation (Vd) as objectives. The original CS method often converges to local optima. In order to avoid this shortcoming, a series of modifications is purposed to the assimilation policy rule of CS. The variations of the two main parameters and an improved search equation are introduced into the MCS-DE to improve local search near the global best, and it profits from DE to further improve the optimization performance. The proposed MCS-DE is examined and implemented on IEEE 30-bus and IEEE 57-bus test power systems with three different objectives. The simulation results presented in this paper demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of hybrid MCS-DE approach for solving ORPD problem and it can be made better results compared to the CS, DE, and other methods reported in the literature as demonstrated by simulation results. © International Association of Engineers.

An asymptotic flight tracking controller is constructed by output regulation technology for hypersonic flight vehicles subjected to nonlinear non-minimum phase dynamic. The standard dynamic inversion technology cannot be utilized directly in control system design due to the unstable zero-dynamics in hypersonic flight vehicle. Hence, the output regulation theory is investigated to design a nonlinear asymptotic tracking controller in sinusoidal flight maneuver cases. Meanwhile, pseudo spectral technology is introduced to solve the center manifold equation in the standard output regulation problem. Finally, Numerical Simulation shows that the proposed control scheme can afford favorable tracking performance and suppress unstable zero dynamics effectively.
