Epidemiological feature analysis of SVEIR model with control strategy and variant evolution

The complex interactions were performed among non-pharmaceutical interventions,vaccinations,and hosts for all epidemics in China's Mainland during the spread of ***,the small-scale epidemic in the city described by SVEIR model was less found in the current *** SVEIR model with control was established to analyze the dynamical and epidemiological features of two epidemics in Jinzhou City led by Omicron variants before and after Twenty *** this study,the total population(N)of Jinzhou City was divided into five compartments:the susceptible(S),the vaccinated(V),the exposed(E),the infected(I),and the recovered(R).By surveillance data and the SVEIR model,three methods(maximum likelihood method,exponential growth rate method,next generation matrix method)were governed to estimate basic reproduction number,and the results showed that an increasing tendency of basic reproduction number from Omicron BA.5.2 to Omicron ***,the effective reproduction number for two epidemics were investigated by surveillance data,and the results showed that Jinzhou wave 1 reached the peak on November 1 and was controlled 7 days later,and that Jinzhou wave 2 reached the peak on November 28 and was controlled 5 days ***,the impacts of non-pharmaceutical interventions(awareness delay,peak delay,control intensity)were discussed extensively,the variations of infection scales for Omicron variant and EG.5 variant were also ***,the investigations on peaks and infection scales for two epidemics in dynamic zero-COVID policy were operated by the SVEIR model with *** investigations on public medical requirements of Jinzhou City and Liaoning Province were analyzed by using SVEIR model without control,which provided a possible perspective on variant evolution in the future.

The main epidemiological features such as basic reproduction number,effective reproduction number and sensitivity analysis were extensively discussed for multi-age groups SEIHR model in this ***,by using of the next generation matrix method,basic reproduction number R0 of the total population was estimated as 1.57 using parameter values of four age groups of Fuzhou COVID-19 large *** age group k,the values of R_(0k)(age group k to age group k),the values of R_(o)^(k)(an infected of age group k to the total population)and the values of R_(o)^(k)>R_(0k)>R_(o)^(k)(an infected of the total population to age group k)were also estimated,in which the explorations of the impacts of age groups revealed that the relationship was ***,the fluctuating tendencies of effective reproduction number Rt were demonstrated by using two approaches(the surveillance data and the SEIHR model)for Fuzhou COVID-19 large wave,during which high-risk group(G4 group)mainly contributed the infection scale due to high susceptibility to infection and high risks to basic ***,the sensitivity analysis using two approaches(the sensitivity index and the PRCC values)revealed that susceptibility to infection of age groups played the vital roles,while the numerical simulation showed that infection scale varied with the changes of social contacts of age *** results of this study claimed that the high-risk group out of the total population was concerned by the local government with the highest susceptibility to infection against *** This study verified that the partition structure of age groups of the total population,the susceptibility to infection of age groups,the social contacts among age groups were the important contributors of infection *** less social contacts and adequate hospital beds for high-risk group were profitable to control the spread of *** avoid the emergence of medical runs against new variant in the future,the polic

In this study, we proposed two, symptom-dependent, HIV/AIDS models to investigate the dynamical properties of HIV/AIDS in the fujian Province. The basic reproduction number was obtained, and the local and global stabilities of the disease-free and endemic equilibrium points were verified to the deterministic HIV/AIDS model. Moreover, the indicators R0s and Re0 were derived for the stochastic HIV/AIDS model, and the conditions for stationary distribution and stochastic extinction were investigated. By using the surveillance data from the fujian Provincial Center for Disease control and Prevention, some numerical simulations and future predictions on the scale of HIV/AIDS infections in the fujian Province were conducted. © 2024 the Author(s), licensee AIMS Press. The epidemiological characteristics and distributions of two epidemics in fujian Province of Southeast China were attributed to the complex interactions among variant,host,and non-pharmaceutical interventions(NPIs).All reported cases in the Putian epidemic(September 8–October 2,2021,Delta variant B.1.617.2)and Fuzhou epidemic(October 22–November 18,2022,Omicron variant BA.5.2)were classified by sex,age group,occupation,and location in this *** surveillance data from the fujian Provincial Center for Disease control and Prevention,we established a virus-oriented SVEIR(Susceptible–Vaccinated–Exposed–Infected–Recovered)model to investigate the dynamic evolution features of these two variants and the effects of *** optimal simulations were carried out with variants and scenario *** scenario investigations showed that NPIs significantly reduced the transmission risk and infection scales of COVID-19,and that the Omicron variant was more infectious than the Delta ***,the dynamic investigations revealed the increasing tendencies from Delta to Omicron,such as the basic reproduction number,infection rate,percentage of high-risk cases,and the growth *** tendencies were also identified,such as the average recovery period,the awareness delay,and the percentage of symptomatic *** study highlighted that NPIs played critical roles in successfully containing the two *** interventions are strongly recommended to public health policymakers.

Global Solvability for the Compressible Hookean Viscoelastic Fluids with a Free Boundary in Some Classes of Large Data

Recently Jiang–Jiang established a global (in time) existence result for unique strong solutions of the two-dimensional (2D) free-boundary problem of an incompressible Hookean viscoelastic fluid, the rest state of which is defined in a slab, in some classes of large data [28]. In particular, Jiang–Jiang’s mathematical result shows that, if the initial free boundary is flat, the way the elastic deformation under the large elasticity coefficient κ acts on the free boundary prevents the natural tendency of the fluid to form singularities, even when the initial velocity is properly large. However it is not clear whether their result can be extended to the corresponding 3D case. In this paper, we further find a similar result in the 3D stratified (immiscible) compressible Hookean viscoelastic fluids in an infinite slab with two restrictive conditions: that the elasticity coefficients of two fluids are equal, and that the initial density functions satisfy the asymptotic stability condition in Lagrangian coordinates. These two restrictive conditions in the compressible case contribute us to avoid the essential obstacles that would be faced in the extension of Jiang–Jiang’s result from two dimensions to our 3D case. In addition, we can further obtain a new result regarding the vanishing phenomena of the nonlinear interactions of solutions with the fixed initial velocity and the initial zero perturbation deformation. Such a new result roughly presents that the solutions of the problem considered by us can be approximated by the ones of a linear problem for sufficiently large κ. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. Intelligent Signal Timing Optimization Model with Bus Priority Based on Multi-Process Experience Pool

Nowadays, the imbalance between urban traffic demand and road infrastruc-tures is getting more serious, resulting in serious urban traffic congestion. Unlike private cars, buses can carry more passengers under the same road segment with lower energy consumption. However, existing studies usually ignore the impacts of vehicle turn signal states on action selection and the impacts of experience pool sampling efficiency on model training. Therefore, with the increasing number of priority buses on the road, it will en-counter the problem of bus response conflict. In this work, we propose an intelligent signal timing optimization model with bus priority based on a multi-process experience pool, named MP-3DQN. The model considers the turn signal state of the vehicle and the bus priority switching scheme, which can help predict the vehicles’ future direction and provide a basis for the agent in action selection. We introduce a multi-process parallel method to break the correlation between samples and improve the sampling efficiency of sample data. In addition, we propose a multi-objective reward function to make the agent more sensitive to the changing detection, and we constrain the green light duration and optimize the average delay of vehicles and intersection throughput. Extensive experiments were conducted with SUMO on intersection roads in Fuzhou City, and the results show that MP-3DQN could significantly reduce the average delay time of buses without affecting traffic efficiency. © 2023, Journal of Network Intelligence. A Vehicle Arrival Residual Model to Detect Stop-and-go Waves from Low-resolution Traffic Data

A traffic stop-and-go wave is a common phenomenon when the traffic state changes from free flow to congestion. A stop-and-go wave can reduce the maximum flow of a road by up to 30%;therefore, how to detect the formation and propagation of stop-and-go waves is essential. Existing studies focus on high-resolution data to detect stop-and-go waves by monitoring the change in traffic state through density and speed. To improve the efficiency of stop-and-go wave detection, we proposed a framework based on abnormal detection by monitoring vehicle counts. Firstly, the Bayesian Dynamic Linear Model (BDLM) is used to extract the typical day. Then, we define a variable called Vehicle arrival residual (VAR) to extract the abnormal situation by vehicle counts. The VAR is obtained by calculating the difference between the parameters of actual days’ vehicle arrival distribution and the typical day’s vehicle arrival distribution. Finally, we use the wavelet transform to get the energy of VAR. Then the energy peak could detect the formation and propagation of stop-and-go waves. The result shows that our framework could detect the stop-and-go wave accurately under low-resolution data. In addition, abnormal detection could extract the change in traffic state by a single traffic flow parameter. Generally, based on vehicle counts, this study provides another way to detect the stop-and-go wave in low-resolution conditions. © 2024, Taiwan Ubiquitous Information CO LTD. All rights reserved.
