Hierarchical controller Synthesis Under Linear Temporal Logic Specifications Using Dynamic Quantization

Linear temporal logic(LTL)is an intuitive and expressive language to specify complex control tasks,and how to design an efficient control strategy for LTL specification is still a *** this paper,we implement the dynamic quantization technique to propose a novel hierarchical control strategy for nonlinear control systems under LTL *** on the regions of interest involved in the LTL formula,an accepting path is derived first to provide a high-level solution for the controller synthesis ***,we develop a dynamic quantization based approach to verify the realization of the accepting *** realization verification results in the necessity of the controller design and a sequence of quantization regions for the controller ***,the techniques of dynamic quantization and abstraction-based control are combined together to establish the local-to-global control *** abstraction construction and controller design are local and dynamic,thereby resulting in the potential reduction of the computational *** each quantization region can be considered locally and individually,the proposed hierarchical mechanism is more efficient and can solve much larger problems than many existing ***,the proposed control strategy is illustrated via two examples from the path planning and tracking problems of mobile robots.

Multi-Pulse Parallel Demodulation for High-Precision Measurement in Raman-Distributed optical Fiber Sensing

Raman distributed temperature sensors enables distributed measurement of temperature along the sensing fiber, which is widely used in production. Due to the limitation of the optical time-domain reflection principle, the temperature measurement accuracy of the sensors will be seriously affected when the length of the temperature variation region is shorter than the pulse width. In this work, the relationship between pulse width, fiber under test (FUT) length and FUT temperature is firstly studied. Then, a multi-pulse parallel demodulation scheme is proposed. The experiments depict that a temperature measurement accuracy is optimized from over 30 °C to 1.55 °C with a 0.2 m temperature variation region over 5.6 km. The scheme is based on multi-pulse parallel measurements combined with numerical simulations to achieve equivalent short pulse measurements of the small-region temperature variation without changing the hardware structure of the sensors. This scheme reduces the hardware requirements of the sensors and avoids the problems of sensing distance reduction and signal-to-noise ratio deterioration caused by shortening the pulse width. © 1983-2012 IEEE.

An improved high-fidelity adaptive model for integrated inlet-engine-nozzle based on mechanismdata fusion

Nowadays,there has been an increasing focus on integrated flight propulsion control and the inlet-exhaust design for the aero-propulsion *** component-level models are inadequate due to installed performance deviations and mismatches between the real engine and the model,failing to meet the accuracy requirements of supersonic *** paper establishes a quasi-one-dimensional model for the inlet-exhaust system and conducts experimental ***,a mechanism-data fusion adaptive modeling scheme using an Extreme Learning Machine based on the Salp Swarm Algorithm(SSA-ELM)is *** study reveals the inlet model’s efficacy in reflecting installed performance,flow matching,and mitigating pressure distortion,while the nozzle model accurately predicts flow coefficients and thrust coefficients,and identifies various operational *** model’s output closely aligns with typical experimental *** combining offline optimization and online adaptive correction,the mechanismdata fusion adaptive model substantially reduces output errors during regular flights and varying levels of degradation,and effectively handles gradual degradation within a single flight ***,the mechanism-data fusion adaptive model holistically addresses total pressure errors within the inlet-exhaust system and normal shock location *** approach significantly curbs performance deviations in supersonic *** example,at Ma=2.0,the system error impressively drops from 34.17%to merely 6.54%,while errors for other flight conditions consistently stay below the 2.95%*** findings underscore the clear superiority of the proposed method.

Deep reinforcement learning with reward design for quantum control

Deep reinforcement learning (DRL) has been recognized as a powerful tool in quantum physics, where DRL's reward design is nontrivial but crucial for quantum control tasks. To address the problem of over-reliance on human empirical knowledge to design DRL's rewards, we propose a DRL with a novel reward paradigm designed by the learning process information (DRL-LPI), where the learning process information (LPI) comprises the state information and the experiences. In DRL-LPI, the state information after being classified by a fidelity threshold, and the experiences are first stored simultaneously in the respective sequences, and this process is repeated until a similar-segment ends. Then, the stored state information is converted to the real value and used to design the reward value by applying a self-Amplitude function. Next, the designed reward values are integrated with the stored experiences to compose transitions for DRL's training. Through comparisons to five representative reward schemes, the proposed DRL-LPI is evaluated on two typical quantum control tasks, i.e., the spin-(1/2) quantum state control and many-coupled qubits state control, and the experimental results show the superior learning efficiency and control performance of the proposed *** results show that DRL-LPI exhibits the ability to learn the control strategy with few control actions compared to stochastic gradient descent (SGD) and genetic algorithm (GA). Dear Editor,This letter is concerned with stability analysis and stabilization design for sampled-data based load frequency control(LFC) systems via a data-driven method. By describing the dynamic behavior of LFC systems based on a data-based representation, a stability criterion is derived to obtain the admissible maximum sampling interval(MSI) for a given controller and a design condition of the PI-type controller is further developed to meet the required MSI. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed methods is verified by a case study.

Study on Electromagnetic Exposure of High-Speed Railway Platform Staff Workers Induced by Contact Wires

The bodies of platform staff workers in high-speed railway stations absorb induction electric field when being exposed to the electric field environment of contact wires with 25 kV high-voltages. To analyze the safety of electromagnetic exposure of the station platform staff workers with different numbers of tracks, this paper establishes a model with 6 tracks, 2 platforms, and 4 staff workers on the platform simulating the actual situation. It then analyzes the distribution of induction electric field present in their human body tissues, which in the electric field environment is generated by the high voltages of the contact wires of 1 track, 3 tracks, 6 tracks, respectively. Calculation results show that the maximum induction electric field of staff worker on the platform with different track numbers appears at the scalp, and the electric field intensity levels in the skull and brain are relatively small. For example, on the two platforms with 6 tracks, the maximum induction electric field of the staff worker is found in the scalp, and the values are 58.86 times and 1688.52 times of those of the skull and brain, respectively. For the staff worker at the safety white line, the maximum induction electric field in a human central nervous system is 0.61 mV/m, which is far less than the basic limit of 100mV/m occupational exposure in the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) guidelines. With the increase in the number of tracks, the maximum induction electric field of the staff also increases correspondingly at the same position. Research results can provide data reference for the formulation of electromagnetic protection and standards for high-speed railway platform staff workers. © 2023, Electromagnetics Academy.
