Study on Electromagnetic Exposure of High-Speed Railway Platform Staff Workers Induced by Contact Wires

The bodies of platform staff workers in high-speed railway stations absorb induction electric field when being exposed to the electric field environment of contact wires with 25 kV high-voltages. To analyze the safety of electromagnetic exposure of the station platform staff workers with different numbers of tracks, this paper establishes a model with 6 tracks, 2 platforms, and 4 staff workers on the platform simulating the actual situation. It then analyzes the distribution of induction electric field present in their human body tissues, which in the electric field environment is generated by the high voltages of the contact wires of 1 track, 3 tracks, 6 tracks, respectively. Calculation results show that the maximum induction electric field of staff worker on the platform with different track numbers appears at the scalp, and the electric field intensity levels in the skull and brain are relatively small. For example, on the two platforms with 6 tracks, the maximum induction electric field of the staff worker is found in the scalp, and the values are 58.86 times and 1688.52 times of those of the skull and brain, respectively. For the staff worker at the safety white line, the maximum induction electric field in a human central nervous system is 0.61 mV/m, which is far less than the basic limit of 100mV/m occupational exposure in the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) guidelines. With the increase in the number of tracks, the maximum induction electric field of the staff also increases correspondingly at the same position. Research results can provide data reference for the formulation of electromagnetic protection and standards for high-speed railway platform staff workers. © 2023, Electromagnetics Academy. The MIMO antenna for mobile communication terminals is proposed for improving its communication ability in different networks. It can avoid the problem of signal attenuation and poor signal quality caused by antenna band mismatch. The dimension of the overall antenna size is 58mm×120mm (0.68λ0×1.41λ0, where λ0 is the wavelength of 3.5GHz). The MIMO antenna can cover the following areas: GSM 1800, UMTS, LTE, and 5G band N78. The proposed antenna consists of two types of radiating units, including an E-type radiating unit and an L-type radiating unit. The E-type radiating unit contains two frequency bands of 1.71 ∼ 1.75GHz and 3.36 ∼ 3.61GHz respectively, which is worked for GSM1800 and 5G band N78. The L-type radiating unit covers 2.58 ∼ 2.69GHz, after moving the L-type patch, it can cover 2.05 ∼ 2.17GHz, which works for UMTS and 5G band LTE. The E-type patch antenna is center symmetric loaded to improve the gain of the proposed MIMO antenna. The simulation results show that the antenna's efficiency is higher than 80% in 2.1GHz, 2.6GHz, and 3.5GHz bands with ECC (Envelope Correlation Coefficient) less than 0.16. A prototype of the proposed 6-antenna array is manufactured and measured. The measurement results show a return loss of 8.72dB and an isolation of 14.83dB, basically consistent with simulation results. It is also worth noticing that the proposed antenna could operate in the highly anticipated next-generation Wi-Fi 6E. © 2024 IEEE.

SIEVL-Track: Exploring Semantic Information Enhancement for Visual-Language Object Tracking

With the assistance of language descriptions, Visual-Language (VL) object tracking can obtain more accurate semantic information compared to traditional Visual-Only object tracking. However, the ability of current VL trackers to obtain target semantic information has not been fully developed due to limitations such as wasted modeling capabilities and insufficient utilization of historical temporal information. On the one hand, the modeling output from Transformer shallow encoders often does not directly participate in the prediction of tracking results, resulting in a certain degree of model capability waste. On the other hand, the semantic information of historical tracking results has also not been fully utilized in the tracking process, resulting in a certain degree of lack of semantic assistance capability. Therefore, we propose a novel hierarchical multi-stage VL tracker called SIEVL-Track to enhance target semantic information. Specifically, we first design a multi-stage visual language tracking framework for modeling multi-scale semantic information in Visual-Language tracking pipeline. Secondly, we propose a selective deep and shallow semantic information fusion module (S-DSFM) that explicitly integrates shallow output features into deep output features, so to reduce the waste of modeling capabilities and obtain more high-frequency semantic information related to the target. Finally, we design a temporal cue modeling module based on linguistic classification and multi-frame historical information(MHLS-TCM), with the aim of more comprehensive utilization of historical temporal semantic information. Benefit from the above designs, our VL tracker can obtain stronger target semantic information. Competitive performance from extensive experimental results on five popular vision-language tracking benchmarks, including LaSOT, OTB99-Lang, WebUAV-3M, LaSOText and TNL2K, have demonstrated the superiority and effectiveness of our SIEVL-Track. © 1991-2012 IEEE.

Robust Consensus Based Secondary control for Microgrids Considering Communication Delay and Noises: A Kalman Filter Based Approach

To achieve the frequency and voltage regulation as well as active and reactive power sharing, the consensus-based secondary controls of microgrids rely on communication network to exchange signals between neighbor inverters, which may be affected by the communication delay and noises. Unlike the existing methods that focus solely on communication delay, this paper proposes a Kalman filter-based robust consensus control to address the communication delay and noises comprehensively. Based on the discrete differential equation of the signal transmitted via communication network, the multi-step prediction model of the delayed signal is firstly built by considering the prediction errors. The state space model is then constructed by taking the predicted signals at each step as the state variables while the delayed and noise-involved signal and its differential value are seen as the measurements. A Kalman filter is further designed to comprehensively handle the communication delay, noises and prediction errors to estimate the true signal generated from neighbor inverters. With the estimated signals of all neighbor inverters, the consensus control is performed to coordinate the grid-following and grid-forming inverters within the microgrid. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated with simulations and experiments performed on the modified IEEE-33 bus-based microgrid. © 2010-2012 IEEE.

This article focuses on dynamic event-triggered mechanism(DETM)-based model predictive control(MPC) for T-S fuzzy systems.A hybrid dynamic variables-dependent DETM is carefully devised,which includes a multiplicative dynamic variable and an additive dynamic *** addressed DETM-based fuzzy MPC issue is described as a “min-max” optimization problem(OP).To facilitate the co-design of the MPC controller and the weighting matrix of the DETM,an auxiliary OP is proposed based on a new Lyapunov function and a new robust positive invariant(RPI) set that contain the membership functions and the hybrid dynamic variables.A dynamic event-triggered fuzzy MPC algorithm is developed accordingly,whose recursive feasibility is analysed by employing the RPI *** the designed controller,the involved fuzzy system is ensured to be asymptotically *** examples show that the new DETM and DETM-based MPC algorithm have the advantages of reducing resource consumption while yielding the anticipated performance.

To calculate the induced fields in the human body of the driver in an electric vehicle, the power cables of the electric vehicle are taken as the electromagnetic exposure source. The finite elements method is used to construct the electromagnetic environment model, which consists of the vehicle body, the power cables, and the driver body. The maximal values of the magnetic flux density inside the driver's trunk and head are 4.63 μT and 0.12 μT, respectively. The maximal induced electric field intensity values are 670 mV/m and 99.7 mV/m, respectively. All values are below the safety limits of the ICNIRP. The results show that the electromagnetic environment induced by the power cables is safe for the driver. The study could provide a reference for improving electromagnetic exposure standards for electric vehicles. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This paper focuses on the challenge of fixed-time control for spatiotemporal neural networks(SNNs) with discontinuous activations and time-varying coefficients. A novel fixed-time convergence lemma is proposed, which facilitates the handling of time-varying coefficients of SNNs and relaxes the restriction on the non-positive definiteness of the derivative of the Lyapunov function. Besides, a more flexible and economical aperiodically switching control technique is presented to stabilize SNNs within a fixed time,efectively reducing the amount of information transmission and control costs. Under the newly established fixed-time convergence lemma and aperiodically switching controller, many more general algebraic conditions are deduced to ensure the fixed-time stabilization of SNNs. Numerical examples are provided to manifest the validity of the results.
