Nowadays, it is necessary to explore efficient antibacterial materials to complement or substitute the conventional antibiotic, to cope with the ever-growing bacterial contamination. Here, a series of Cu-doped ZIF-8 materials are prepared and adopted for disinfection against typical bacteria E. coli and S. aureus in dark. The results show that 5-7 log efficiency can be achieved at a dosage of 15-30 mg mL-1 of 1.35 atomic % Cu doped ZIF-8, and this concentration is also safe as verified by cytotoxicity test. Mechanism investigation shows that Cu(II) is reduced to Cu(I), which would contribute to the effective electron transfer for the reactive oxygen species generation. And these reactive oxygen species would cause oxidative stress and membrane damage on bacteria cells. All these results show the promise of Cu-doped ZIF-8 in the antibacterial applications especially in the environments without any energy input. © 2024 18th Conference of the International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate, INDOOR AIR 2024 - Conference Program and Proceedings. Accurate epidemic forecasting is imperative in light of the increasing global threat posed by epidemic diseases. Presently, researchers predominantly approach this challenge as a time-series prediction task and have proposed a variety of effective methodologies. However, two critical issues deserve thorough consideration. Firstly, the transmission of infectious diseases is a profoundly intricate process influenced by a multitude of factors, encompassing complex dynamics and propagation mechanisms. In contrast to the multifaceted nature of real-world scenarios, prevailing modeling approaches often exhibit undue simplification, resulting in imprecision and a deficit of interpretability. Secondly, existing methodologies excessively rely on data and require substantial adaptation for new infectious disease scenarios. The endeavor to conduct rapid and precise simulations and predictions during the early stages of transmission is challenging due to limited data availability. Thus, we aim to explore the feasibility and effective strategies of leveraging multi-modal pre-trained technology for epidemic forecasting. This approach offers the potential to comprehensively grasp the transmission process from multi-view perspectives and acquire richer representations by integrating multi-modal data. Moreover, through pre-trained, this methodology captures overarching patterns and principles of infectious disease transmission, facilitating swift and accurate predictions via fine-tuning, particularly in scenarios of sparse early-stage transmission data. We discuss the prospects of multi-modal pre-trained models in epidemic forecasting and provide feasible strategies for constructing the model. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Recent advancements in Novel View Synthesis using neural radiance fields and 3D Gaussian splatting have demonstrated promising results. However, these methods conventionally rely on accurate initial poses and point clouds from the model of structure from motion, which poses challenges in sparse input views. To addressing these drawbacks, we introduces an novel method for view synthesis based on 3D Gaussian splatting. Our approach operates on sparse input views without the prerequisite of pose priors, achieving reconstruction and real-time rendering of novel perspectives. For the deficiency of camera poses and point cloud, we employ an end-to-end deep learning model to recover the 3D structure from a few of 2D images to initialize the 3D Gaussian point cloud. In addressing the issue with few-shot, we utilize the differentiable rasterization module to render depth map and apply regulation on it. Additionally, we incorporate supervision between input views by interpolating to generate novel perspectives during training. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed method significantly enhances the capabilities of 3D Gaussian splatting for novel view synthesis in sparse views and without the necessity of camera pose priors. © 2024 IEEE.

Ultra-wideband（UWB） positioning technology has absolute advantages due to its centimeter-level accurate positioning ***,the positioning accuracy is greatly reduced because of the inability to completely solve the error caused by non-line-of-sight（NLOS） and multi-path *** present,the Chan-Taylor（C-T） combination algorithm proposed by scholars can achieve a good positioning effect in the line-of-sight（LOS） environment,but in the NLOS environment,positioning deviation of this algorithm is large .Aiming at the problem of low localization accuracy in NLOS environment,this paper presents a Chan-Taylor-Kalman（CTK） joint positioning algorithm based on UWB and adapted to NLOS *** basic idea of CTK joint positioning algorithm is to introduce weight coefficients on the basis of C-T combination algorithm to reduce the situation of non-convergence of positioning results;then combined with the improved Kalman filter to eliminate outliers and eliminate the influence of the non-line-of-sight *** show that under the same NLOS environment,the probability of the positioning error of the C-T combination positioning algorithm greater than 20 cm is about 60%,while the probability of the positioning error of the CTK joint positioning algorithm greater than 10 cm is only about 10%.

Current magnetic anomaly detection (MAD) methods prioritize signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) over signal features and edge information, leading to signal distortion. To address this issue, a new MAD approach utilizes structured lowrank approximation and block singular value decomposition based on the spatial frequency domain, dubbed FL-BSVD is proposed. First, the low-rankness structure of the magnetic anomaly signal is obtained through 2D Discrete Fourier Transform (2D-DFT) and structured Hankel transformation. Then, block singular value decomposition is applied to the Hankel matrix to reduce noise while preserving more signal edge features and enhancing detection accuracy. Finally, a field experiment comparing FL-BSVD with four commonly used methods is conducted. The experiment confirms that FL-BSVD can effectively recover magnetic anomaly signal features and edge information in a strong noisy environment. © 2024 IEEE.

In the power system, due to the instability of the external environment, safe and stable operation cannot always be guaranteed, as it frequently encounters varying degrees of external disturbances. In order to mitigate the effects of these disturbances on the system, the power system can operate safely and stably, In this paper, a power system load frequency control (LFC) based on Equivalent Input Disturbance (EID) method is proposed from the perspective of active disturbance suppression. Firstly, the disturbances present in the environment are unified as external disturbances, and then a single area the electric power system model with external disturbance was constructed. Then, a controller algorithm based on EID was designed using EID equivalent processing method and linear matrix inequality method to address the issue of external interference in the power system. Finally, a numerical example is used to validate the effectiveness and accuracy of the controller by simulating with two aspects, fixed perturbation and random perturbation, respectively. © 2024 IEEE.

The development of the scientific publishing system has remarkably enhanced global accessibility to research findings and substantially increased the visibility and dissemination of academic publications. However, significant challenges still exist in effectively safeguarding the intellectual property rights of contributors, such as the unauthorized usage of materials, the complexity of enforcing intellectual property rights across various legal jurisdictions, and high instances of plagiarism and content misuse. Additionally, financial barriers related to open access may restrict the participation of economically disadvantaged researchers, potentially biasing scientific records towards more affluent research initiatives. To address these issues, a novel decentralized framework is formulated to ensure truly open access. This framework leverages blockchain for immutable record-keeping and clear attribution of authorship, to prevent unauthorized usage and plagiarism. Besides, it also utilizes a copyright-sharing model based on decentralized autonomous organizations and operations (DAOs), where smart contracts automatically enforce copyright and access policies to ensure fair compensation for authors and researchers. Furthermore, the copyright sharing model based on non-fungible tokens (NFT) and gradual ownership optimization (GOO) mechanism is proposed to ensure fair and accurate recognition and compensation for scholarly contributions. © 2024 IEEE.

The soft continuum arm has extensive application in industrial production and human life due to its superior safety and flexibility. Reinforcement learning is a powerful technique for solving soft arm continuous control problems, which can learn an effective control policy with an unknown system model. However, it is often affected by the high sample complexity and requires huge amounts of data to train, which limits its effectiveness in soft arm control. An improved policy gradient method, policy gradient integrating long and short-term rewards denoted as PGLS, is proposed in this paper to overcome this issue. The shortterm rewards provide more dynamic-aware exploration directions for policy learning and improve the exploration efficiency of the algorithm. PGLS can be integrated into current policy gradient algorithms, such as deep deterministic policy gradient(DDPG). The overall control framework is realized and demonstrated in a dynamics simulation environment. Simulation results show that this approach can effectively control the soft arm to reach and track the targets. Compared with DDPG and other model-free reinforcement learning algorithms, the proposed PGLS algorithm has a great improvement in convergence speed and performance. In addition, a fluid-driven soft manipulator is designed and fabricated in this paper, which can verify the proposed PGLS algorithm in real experiments in the future.

A generlized Logistic model with nonlinear delayed harvest controlling is considered. The conditions for the stability and local Hopf bifurcation of the equilibrium point are obtained. Numerical examples show that our control strategy can not only control the Hopf bifurcation of the system, but also control the stability switches phenomenon. These are all very useful for the survival of the population. © 2022 IEEE.

A distributed fault-tolerant formation control law is designed in this paper for multi-agent systems under external disturbances and actuator faults including time-varying loss of effectiveness faults. The initial position of each agent is already on a circle and the control purpose is to form a desired formation on this circle. Based on this local information, a distributed adaptive formation control law is designed by employing the congelation of variables method to deal with time-varying actuator faults.
