Parallel Driving with Big Models and Foundation Intelligence in Cyber-hysical-ocial Spaces

Recent years have witnessed numerous technical breakthroughs in connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs). On the one hand, these breakthroughs have significantly advanced the development of intelligent transportation systems (ITSs);on the other hand, these new traffic participants introduce more complex and uncertain elements to ITSs from the social space. Digital twins (DTs) provide real-time, data-driven, precise modeling for constructing the digital mapping of physical-world ITSs. Meanwhile, the metaverse integrates emerging technologies such as virtual reality/mixed reality, artificial intelligence, and DTs to model and explore how to realize improved sustainability, increased efficiency, and enhanced safety. More recently, as a leading effort toward general artificial intelligence, the concept of foundation model was proposed and has achieved significant success, showing great potential to lay the cornerstone for diverse artificial intelligence applications across different domains. In this article, we explore the big models embodied foundation intelligence for parallel driving in cyber-physical-social spaces, which integrate metaverse and DTs to construct a parallel training space for CAVs, and present a comprehensive elucidation of the crucial characteristics and operational mechanisms. Beyond providing the infrastructure and foundation intelligence of big models for parallel driving, this article also discusses future trends and potential research directions, and the ?S?goals of parallel driving.

Automatic pavement crack detection is a critical task for maintaining the pavement stability and driving *** task is challenging because the shadows on the pavement may have similar intensity with the crack,which interfere with the crack detection *** to the present,there still lacks efficient algorithm models and training datasets to deal with the interference brought by the *** fill in the gap,we made several contributions as ***,we proposed a new pavement shadow and crack dataset,which contains a variety of shadow and pavement pixel size *** also covers all common cracks(linear cracks and network cracks),placing higher demands on crack detection ***,we designed a two-step shadow-removal-oriented crack detection approach:SROCD,which improves the performance of the algorithm by first removing the shadow and then detecting *** addition to shadows,the method can cope with other noise ***,we explored the mechanism of how shadows affect crack *** on this mechanism,we propose a data augmentation method based on the difference in brightness values,which can adapt to brightness changes caused by seasonal and weather ***,we introduced a residual feature augmentation algorithm to detect small cracks that can predict sudden disasters,and the algorithm improves the performance of the model *** compare our method with the state-of-the-art methods on existing pavement crack datasets and the shadow-crack dataset,and the experimental results demonstrate the superiority of our method.

In the smelting process of a blast furnace(BF),BF operations can regulate the permeability index(PI),but different operations affect the PI on different time *** at the problem that BF operations have multi-time-scale effects on the PI,this paper uses a multi-time scale method to analyze the influence of each operation on PI at different time ***,the influence of BF operations on the PI is analyzed through the ironmaking mechanism,and three mechanism chains of BF operations affecting the PI were *** this basis,the time scale of the mechanism chains is ***,a crosscorrelation analysis is used to calculate the time-delay relationship between each operation and the ***,the influence of different operation parameters on the PI is verified by real-world production data,and the multi-time scale characteristics of the influence of BF operations on the PI are proved.

This paper takes the iron-making blast furnace in operation of a steel plant as the specific object,analyzes the erosion status and characteristics of different parts of the furnace hearth and bottom combined with iron-making process and erosion mechanism of the blast furnace,designs an intelligent monitoring system for erosion of the furnace hearth lining,visualizes the temperature measurement *** erosion calculation model is established by using the heat transfer mechanism to quickly solve the erosion boundary for the area with low erosion degree and rate,and performs a fast solution of the erosion *** areas with high erosion degree and rate,the particle swarm optimization algorithm is selected by using its adaptive *** solves the erosion boundary accurately from the rough solution of the mechanism model,and the residual thickness of furnace lining is output and displayed,which helps ironmakers optimize the blast furnace production operation,maintenance strategy,improve production efficiency and reduce energy consumption.

In the field of radar data processing, track interruption seriously affects target tracking, track fusion, and other *** existing track segment association algorithms have low correlation accuracy in dense distributed or long-time interruption situations. To this purpose, a dense multi-target track segment association(DMTTSA) algorithm is proposed. Firstly, two identical networks based on the multi-head probability sparse(ProbSparse) self-attention are used to capture the long-term dependencies of the tracks. Then, the bidirectional quadruplet hard sample loss(BiQuaHard loss) is constructed to make the tracks belonging to the same targets closer and the tracks belonging to the different targets farther. Finally, DMTTSA takes the closest track pairs in the feature space as the associated tracks and divides the unassociated tracks into the birth and dead tracks in chronological order. Some comparative experiments are carried out to show the anti-noise performance of the DMTTSA, as well as the effectiveness of solving the problem of dense multi-target track interruption.

In this paper, the quantized control problem is discussed for a class of highly nonlinear stochastic systems with multiple delays under the DoS attacks. The coefficients are allowed to be highly nonlinear, and the control input is subject to the quantization effects and the DoS attacks. The aim is to deal with the stabilization problem for unstable highly nonlinear stochastic systems with multiple delays. The p-th moment exponential stability and almost surely exponential stability are discussed in light of the Lyapunov theory. Finally, an illustrative example is given to verify the validity of the theoretical results. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Accurate prediction of solar irradiance is crucial for the effective utilization of solar energy. However, in real-world scenarios, complex irradiance patterns and prevalent incomplete data pose challenges to precise forecasting, resulting in additional uncertainties and instability. To address these issues, this study proposes a novel irradiance forecasting model that integrates a Mask-Transformer data imputation module and a prediction module centered around the typical patterns representation mechanism. The Mask-Transformer leverages a mask modeling mechanism to model the context of missing data, facilitating accurate estimation of missing values and reducing noise and uncertainty in the input data. The typical patterns representation mechanism comprises a series decomposition module and a feature fusion module, providing the module with the capability to mitigate nonlinearity and nonstationarity in solar irradiance data. This enhancement leads to improved short-term forecasting performance while maintaining long-term forecasting capabilities. Experimental results on two datasets demonstrate that the proposed model exhibits sufficient robustness and accuracy, making it effective in scenarios with incomplete data. © 2005-2012 IEEE.

In this paper,we focus on the tracking performance(TP) limitations of networked control systems(NCS s).The control system considered is a multi-input and multi-output(MIMO) discrete-time network control system with time delay,channel noise,packet dropouts,and logarithmic quantization communication *** modeling the channel,we assumed the channel noise to be additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN) and used a binary random process to model packet dropouts and a logarithmic quantizer to model the quantization *** explicit expression of the TP limitations of NCSs utilizing the two-degree-of-freedom(TDOF) controller is then derived using the frequency-domain approach,coprime decomposition,and Youla parameterization *** results show that the essential characteristics of the plant(locations and directions of nonminimum phase zeros and unstable poles) and network constraints(time delay,packet dropouts,quantization,and noise power spectral density) are closely related to the TP limitations.

Energy storage system is generally used to ensure the stability and reliability of *** the system generally contains multiple energy storage units,and due to the process,material and other aspects of the limitation,the initial state of charge(SOC) of each energy storage unit cannot be guaranteed to be completely equal,which leads to the shortening of the life of energy storage unit,and affect the economic benefits of energy storage system ***,this paper analyzes the influence conditions between energy storage units according to the calculated formula of energy storage unit *** value of charge between energy storage systems is analyzed through the active power output of the system,and then the difference is obtained by comparing the value of charge of each energy storage unit with the average value of charge of each *** the iterative algorithm is used to update the state of each node,and the balance factor is introduced to gradually reduce the difference on the basis of droop control to optimize and control the output of these energy storage nodes to achieve SOC *** the economic benefits such as maintenance cost of energy storage system are ***,a working model of microgrid is established and the feasibility and economy of this method are verified by simulation.
