The indium tin oxide films with different substrate temperature have been prepared on glass substrates by reactive evaporation of In-Sn alloy with an oxygen pressure of 0.14 Pa. In this research, the deposition rate is 0.1 Å·sec-1. The best ITO films we obtained have an electrical resistivity of 4.35 × 10-4 Ω·cm, a carrier concentration of 4.02 × 1020 cm-3 and a Hall mobility of 67.5 cm2v-1s-1. The influences of substrate temperature on the structural, optical and electrical properties of the obtained films have been investigated.

The incubation layers at p/i interface in microcrystalline silicon single-junction solar cells were investigated by bifacial Raman spectra method. The effect of p-type window layer on the thickness of incubation layers was studied in detail. The results show that the highly-crystallinized p-layer helps to nucleate of intrinsic layer in the initial stage and then reduces the incubation layer thickness.

In this paper, Al films with different thickness were prepared by thermal evaporation technique. The influences of these Al back-electrodes on the performance of a-Si:H solar cells were studied. The results showed, with the decreasing of Al thickness, Voc and FF increased while Jsc decreased, and then the efficiency increased from 6.803% to 6.833%. The scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction techniques were used also to identify the change in surface and microstructure of AI back electrodes. After above analysis, we explained the dependence of a-Si cell performances on the thickness of Al back electrodes.

A kind of single power supply transimpedance preamplifier (TIA) for optical receiver is developed, using 0.5 μm GaAs PHEMT process. The TIA has a measured -3 dB bandwidth of 9.5 GHz, with transimpedance gain of 43.5±1.5 dBΩ in the range of 50 MHz-7.5 GHz. The return losses of input and output ports are both less than -10 dB. The noise figure (NF) varies from 4 dB to 6.5 dB within the bandwidth, while the calculated minimal equivalent input noise current density is about 17.6 pA/√Hz. The measured output eye diagram for 12 Gb/s NRI pseudorandom binary sequence is clear and satisfying.

A new approach is proposed for modeling individualized and photo-realistic 3D human face and morphing between two heads. The approach is based on subdivision surface and two orthogonal photographs. To construct individualized geometric model, mesh optimization and free-form deformation are combined with subdivision to obtain the fine details of individualized models at different resolution levels. Then texture merging and mapping are applied to geometric model to achieve a photo-realistic representation of individualized 3D model of human face. Finally, 3D morphing between two models with the same topology is realized by simple linear interpolation. Experiment results validate our approach and show that it is not only effective in realistic facial modeling but also easy and fast in 3D morphing and therefore has a wide range of downstream applications.

Two algorithms for the phase retrieval of hard X-ray in-line phase contrast imaging are presented. One is referred to as Iterative Angular Spectrum Algorithm (IASA) and the other is a hybrid algorithm that combines IASA with TIE (transport of intensity equation). The calculations of the algorithms are based on free space propagation of the angular spectrum. The new approaches are demonstrated with numerical simulations. Comparisons with other phase retrieval algorithms are also performed. It is shown that the phase retrieval method combining the IASA and TIE is a promising technique for the application of hard X-ray phase contrast imaging.

In this paper, we present an approach of real-time implementation of multimedia data security based on virtual-optics with the aid of a parallel digital signal processor (DSP). In order to partially compensate the parallelism of optical processing lost by digital implementation, we make full use of parallel hardware architecture and parallel computation structure of the TMS320C6701 DSP, leading to a high-efficiency operation. This approach makes it possible for the virtual-optics imaging methodology (VOIM) to be realized in real-time applications in embedded systems for multimedia data security. Experiments with multimedia data are performed to validate the proposed method, and parameter-sensitivities are quantitatively analyzed and illustrated.

A virtual-optical based encryption model with the aid of public key infrastructure (PKI) is presented in this paper. The proposed model employs a hybrid architecture in which our previously published encryption method based on virtual-optics scheme (VOS) can be used to encipher and decipher data while an asymmetric algorithm, for example RSA, is applied for enciphering and deciphering the session key(s). The whole information security model is run under the framework of international standard ITU-T X.509 PKI, which is on basis of public-key cryptography and digital signatures. This PKI-based VOS security approach has additional features like confidentiality, authentication, and integrity for the purpose of data encryption under the environment of network. Numerical experiments prove the effectiveness of the method. The security of proposed model is briefly analyzed by examining some possible attacks from the viewpoint of a cryptanalysis.
