A Noise-Excitation Generative Adversarial Network for Actuator Fault Diagnosis of Multi-legged Robot

This research provides a novel approach for detecting multi-legged robot actuator *** most significant concept is to design the Fault Diagnosis Generative Adversarial Network(FD-GAN)to fully adapt to the fault diagnosis problem with insufficient *** found that it is difficult for methods based on classification and prediction to learn failure patterns without enough data.A straightforward solution is to use massive amounts of normal data to drive the diagnostic *** introduce frequency-domain information and fuse multi-sensor data to increase the features and expand the difference between normal data and fault data.A GAN-based framework is designed to calculate the probability that the enhanced data belongs to the normal *** uses a generator network as a feature extractor,and uses a discriminator network as a fault probability evaluator,which creates a new use of GAN in the field of fault *** the many learning strategies of GAN,we find that a key point that can distinguish the two types of data is to use the hidden layer noise with appropriate discrimination as the *** also design a fault location method based on binary search,which greatly improves the search efficiency and engineering value of the entire *** have conducted a lot of experiments to prove the diagnostic effectiveness of our architecture in various road conditions and working *** compared FD-GAN with popular diagnostic *** results show that our method has the highest accuracy and recall rate.

Study on Dry Electrical Discharge Assisted Grinding of SiCp/Al Composite

SiC-reinforced aluminum matrix(SiCp/Al)composite is widely utilized in the aerospace,automotive,and electronics industries due to the combination of ceramic hardness and metal ***,the significant disparity in properties between SiC particles and the aluminum matrix results in severe tool wear and diminished surface quality during conventional *** study proposes an environmentally friendly and clean dry electrical discharge assisted grinding process as an efficient and low-damage machining method for SiCp/*** experimental platform was set up to study the impact of grinding and discharge process parameters on surface *** study compared the chip formation mechanism and surface quality between dry electrical discharge assisted grinding and conventional grinding,revealing relationships between surface roughness,grinding force,grinding temperature,and related *** results indicate that the proposed grinding method leads to smaller chip sizes,lower grinding forces and temperatures,and an average reduction of 19.2%in surface roughness compared to conventional *** axial,tangential,and normal grinding forces were reduced by roughly 10.5%,37.8%,and 23.0%,*** optimized process parameters were determined to be N=2500 r/min,vf=30 mm/min,a=10μm,E=15 V,f=5000 Hz,dc=80%,resulting in a surface roughness of 0.161μm.

Attention-Modulated Feature Fusion Neural Network for Inverse Modeling of Microwave Filters

Inverse modeling is extensively applied in the design and tuning of microwave filters (MFs). Inverse models (IMs) take the features extracted from the high-dimensional electromagnetic parameters as input. How to make full use of features from multiple perspective is a critical issue for improving model accuracy. To solve it, this letter proposes an attention-modulated feature fusion neural network (AMFFNN). AMFFNN achieves multiperspective feature fusion (MPFF) at the input side and independent feature fusion (IFF) at the output side. In addition, feature fusion in AMFFNN is enhanced by attention modules to dynamically identify the importance of each feature. Statistical and comparative results of simulations demonstrate that AMFFNN outperforms existing methods in terms of accuracy, stability, and generalization. © 2023 IEEE.

Grain condition inspection: one improved grey wolf algorithm for nodes deployment optimization combining with path planning of multi-inspection robots

Grain inspection robots can detect abnormal information such as grain insects and impurities on the grain surface by deploying detection nodes, it has a significant for the safety of grain storage. Generally, the grey wolf optimization (GWO) algorithm has significant advantages such as fewer control parameters and easy implementation, is one of the commonly employed approaches aiming to solve the problem in many fields. However, the traditional GWO has the shortcomings such as poor population initialization diversity, slow convergence speed and easily fall into local optimal values, it is difficult to solve deployment of inspection nodes problem in the grain surface. In this study, an improved Latin Hypercube grey wolf optimization (LH-GWO) is presented to overcome the disadvantages of the traditional GWO algorithm in solving inspection node deployment problem. The LH-GWO algorithm contains two novel mechanisms which are the Latin Hypercube Sampling population initialization and an improved nonlinear convergence factor. Moreover, a grain surface boundary inspection nodes deployment strategy is proposed to optimize the location of nodes at the boundary. For verifying the effectiveness of the proposed LH-GWO, comparing with six commonly used algorithms based on benchmark functions experiment and coverage rate experiment. The experimental results demonstrate the merits of LH-GWO in terms of convergence speed, optimization accuracy and area coverage. Finally, the optimal inspection nodes are divided into three inspection regional areas by k-means algorithm clustering, and in each inspection regional area, the optimal inspection path of each robot is determined by solving the travel salesman problem (TSP). © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

The mechanical behavior of cemented gangue backfill materials(CGBMs)is closely related to particle size distribution(PSD)of aggregates and properties of cementitious ***,the true triaxial compression tests,CT scanning,SEM,and EDS tests were conducted on cemented gangue backfill samples(CGBSs)with various carbon nanotube concentrations(P_(CNT))that satisfied fractal theory for the PSD of *** mechanical properties,energy dissipations,and failure mechanisms of the CGBSs under true triaxial compression were systematically *** results indicate that appropriate carbon nanotubes(CNTs)effectively enhance the mechanical properties and energy dissipations of CGBSs through micropore filling and microcrack bridging,and the optimal effect appears at P_(CNT)of 0.08wt%.Taking PSD fractal dimension(D)of 2.500 as an example,compared to that of CGBS without CNT,the peak strength(σ_(p)),axial peak strain(ε_(1,p)),elastic strain energy(Ue),and dissipated energy(U_(d))increased by 12.76%,29.60%,19.05%,and90.39%,***,excessive CNTs can reduce the mechanical properties of CGBSs due to CNT agglomeration,manifesting a decrease inρ_(p),ε_(1,p),and the volumetric strain increment(Δε_(v))when P_(CNT)increases from 0.08wt%to 0.12wt%.Moreover,the addition of CNTs improved the integrity of CGBS after macroscopic failure,and crack extension in CGBSs appeared in two modes:detour and pass through the ***σ_(p)and U_(d)firstly increase and then decrease with increasing D,and porosity shows the opposite ***ε_(1,p)andΔε_(v)are negatively correlated with D,and CGBS with D=2.150 has the maximum deformation parameters(ε_(1,p)=0.05079,Δε_(v)=0.01990)due to the frictional slip effect caused by coarse *** increasing D,the failure modes of CGBSs are sequentially manifested as oblique shear failure,"Y-shaped"shear failure,and conjugate shear failure.

Rock failure can cause serious geological disasters,and the non-extensive statistical features of electric potential(EP)are expected to provide valuable information for disaster *** this paper,the uniaxial compression experiments with EP monitoring were carried out on fine sandstone,marble and granite samples under four displacement *** Tsallis entropy q value of EPs is used to analyze the selforganization evolution of rock *** the influence of displacement rate and rock type on q value are explored by mineral structure and fracture modes.A self-organized critical prediction method with q value is *** results show that the probability density function(PDF)of EPs follows the q-Gaussian *** displacement rate is positively correlated with q *** the displacement rate increasing,the fracture mode changes,the damage degree intensifies,and the microcrack network becomes *** influence of rock type on q value is related to the burst intensity of energy release and the crack fracture *** q value of EPs can be used as an effective prediction index for rock failure like b value of acoustic emission(AE).The results provide useful reference and method for the monitoring and early warning of geological disasters.

In the wireless power transfer (WPT) system, the internal resistance of the coil will lead to the loss of electric energy and affect the transmission performance of the system. It is of great significance to establish an analysis model with coil internal resistance for the design of WPT system. In this paper, an equivalent circuit model of LCC-LCC compensated WPT system is proposed. According to the proposed model, the influence of circuit parameters, including coil internal resistance, on the transmission performance of WPT system is analyzed. The analytical expressions of system output power and efficiency are derived, and the index for optimizing the constant current (CC) output characteristic of the system is given. Finally, the constant current output characteristic and zero phase angle (ZPA) characteristic of the WPT system are verified by simulation model. The simulation waveform is basically consistent with the theoretical analysis results, which can provide reference for the parameters design and optimization of the WPT system. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu.
