A DSP/FPGA-based parallel architecture oriented to real-time image processing applications is presented. The architecture is structured with high performance DSPs interconnected by FPGA. Within FPGA a FIFO interconnection network and the specific data communication protocol are implemented, which interconnect 3 DSPs (TMS320C6414) effectively. The measured performances in the prototype with the proposed parallel architecture, including inter-DSP data communication performance and system computing capacity, show high data transfer bandwidth (up to 400 Mbytes/s) with low latency as well as high image processing performance, which achieve a good balance for parallel image processing

Matrix factorization is a popular collaborative filtering method for recommendation techniques with predictive accuracy and good scalability. In this paper, we propose two models on the basis of basic matrix factorization, namely CW-MF, NICW-MF. CW-MF considers user's preference on item categories and NICW-MF takes into account the impact of user's neighbors to minimize the preference between user and his neighbors. We conduct empirical experiments on MovieLens dataset, and results show that our two models perform well.

pattern Mining is a popular issue in biological sequence analysis. With the introduction of wildcard gaps, more interesting patterns can be mined. In this paper, we propose a new definition related to pattern frequency, under which the Apriori property holds. We define a pattern mining problem called Ming top-K Frequent patterns (MFP), where gaps are mined instead of specified. Compared with existing problems, MFP does not require any domain knowledge of the user. However, theoretical analysis and experimental results show that MFP favors inflexible patterns. We then define another problem where the flexibility threshold of each gap is specified by the user. The problem is called Mining top-K Frequent and Flexible patterns (MF 2 P). We develop algorithm with polynomial complexities for both problems. patterns can grow from both sides. Some interesting biological patterns mined by our algorithms are discussed.

Real-time performance can be greatly improved, if the early recognition is implemented. In this paper, a dynamic hand gesture early recognitionsystem is proposed. The system can recognize the gesture before it is completed. Our method is based on the Hidden Semi-Markov Models. Three-dimensional information of the gesture trajectory collected by leapmotion is the main data we used. Experiments on the dataset which we established demonstrate the effectiveness of our method.
