To overcome the degraded images taken in hazy weather, an adaptive restoration method based on improved contrast enhanced restoration was proposed. Firstly, by quadtree subdivision searching method, the sky area of multichannel polarization image are extracted automatically, and the atmospheric light and degree of polarization are calculated;Second, scene depth information of image are calculated based on contrast enhancement method. Then, atmospheric intensity are thinly restored by guided filter, finally the degradation image are restored. Experimental results have shown that the proposed method can improve fog degradation image and increase definition of the image effectively.

Infrared polarization imaging detection can be used to obtain not only the polarization state but also the radiation of target. With this method, the target that traditional photometry cannot detect can be settled. The degree and angle of polarization that used in polarization detection reflect different physical properties, and it is seriously redundancy along with intensity of images. A target detection method for polarization infrared image in the background of desert is proposed in allusion to the character. A modified kernel fuzzy clustering algorithm is purposed to cluster infrared images and the polarization images. Then to distinguish target from the background, the object information of clustered infrared and polarization image were combined according to sparse fusion method. Experimental results show that the proposed detection method is lower noise and more clearly details than wavelet fusion and laplacian pyramid fusion.

polarization information parsing plays an important role in polarization imaging detection. This paper focus on the polarization information parsing method: Firstly, the general process of polarization information parsing is given, mainly including polarization image preprocessing, multiple polarization parameters calculation, polarization image fusion and polarization image tracking, etc.;And then the research achievements of the polarization information parsing method are presented, in terms of polarization image preprocessing, the polarization image registration method based on the maximum mutual information is designed. The experiment shows that this method can improve the precision of registration and be satisfied the need of polarization information parsing;In terms of multiple polarization parameters calculation, based on the omnidirectional polarization inversion model is built, a variety of polarization parameter images are obtained and the precision of inversion is to be improve obviously;In terms of polarization image fusion, using fuzzy integral and sparse representation, the multiple polarization parameters adaptive optimal fusion method is given, and the targets detection in complex scene is completed by using the clustering image segmentation algorithm based on fractal characters;In polarization image tracking, the average displacement polarization image characteristics of auxiliary particle filtering fusion tracking algorithm is put forward to achieve the smooth tracking of moving targets. Finally, the polarization information parsing method is applied to the polarization imaging detection of typical targets such as the camouflage target, the fog and latent fingerprints. © 2016 SPIE.

This paper puts forward a infrared polarization image fusion algorithm by using Contourlet transform and 2-D Teager operator. First of all, based on Contourlet transform , infrared polarization image has been decomposed into low frequency and high frequency . Using Teager operator to process the high frequency sub-bands, and then select by different regional characteristics based on maximum contrast ratio. As for the low frequency sub-bands, judged by energy, selects the weighted weights to fuse the image . At last, we get the experimental results and our analysis. The results of the experiment show that compared with the traditional, the algorithm in this paper can give better characterization of polarization remote sensing image edge and texture information, has a higher resolution, and also improves the visual effect of the polarized remote sensing image. © 2015 SPIE.

Firstly, the geometric model of linear sea surface is constructed based on linear wave theory and linear filtering method. At the same time, considering the nonlinear characteristics of sea waves, the modified model of nonlinear sea surface is introduced. By comparing the shape and statistical characteristics of nonlinear sea surface with linear sea surface, the Doppler echo spectrum of sea surface electromagnetic scattering is calculated, and the Doppler spectrum characteristics of dynamic sea surface scattering echo signals under different initial conditions are analyzed. Finally, the model simulation data are compared with the measured sea state data. The results show that the calculation results based on nonlinear sea surface are more consistent with the experimental data. © 2022 SPIE

Artificial target has the characteristics of stronger polarization, which is found in the process of researching polarization remote sensing. So the polarization characteristics of artificial target has become one of the highlights in the research of the polarization remote sensing. Metal coating target is a kind of typical artificial target, previous studies have found that metal coating target polarization reflection characteristics vary with the condition of different observation angle and incidence angle, and the difference of polarization characteristics greatly impact the derivation and accuracy of metal material surface. In order to research the characteristics of metal coating surface bidirectional reflectance polarization, this measurement experiment set up four observation azimuth angle and nine observation zenith *** the basis of the measured data by using the semi-empirical model for data fitting, then get the data of metal coating target hemisphere space distribution of polarization reflection characteristics. This paper analyzes the relationship between target surface polarization degree and observation azimuth angle, observation zenith angle, which provides theory and data support for the derivation of typical artificial target structure features. © 2016 SPIE.

In order to realize the fusion and detection of ship targets, infrared polarization image fusion and detection technology is adopted in this paper, and a design scheme of infrared polarization image fusion and detection system based on ship targets is proposed, which solves the key technologies such as processing system and fusion and detection algorithm, and the image detection rate is high. In the face of complex background and severe weather environment, infrared polarization detection has obvious advantages. In this paper, the ship target detection method based on infrared polarization image is studied and the ship target infrared polarization image detection method based on local contrast is proposed. The ship target detection accuracy of the proposed algorithm is 0.956, and the false alarm rate of the ship detection is low, which verifies the effectiveness of the detection algorithm in detecting the ship target, which has great application value in military applications. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. Compressed sensing (CS) techniques have shown promise for radar imaging applications due to the excellent images they can produce. In this paper, a two dimensional (2D) sparse signal model for turntable radar imaging is developed, and a 2D CS based image reconstruction algorithm with a hyperbolic tangent constraint is proposed to improve the imaging performance and avoid the huge computational burden of 1D CS based methods, which require a tremendous amount of memory and computational resources. The augmented Lagrange multiplier and a 2D iterative soft thresholding function are used for solving the minimally sparse nonconvex optimization problem with parameter adjustment. Moreover, its convergence can be proved. Experimental results are presented to demonstrate the validity of the proposed approach. © 2022 SPIE

A group activities recognition algorithm is proposed by combining M-DTCWT (multi directional dual tree complex wavelet transform) with elliptic Mahalanobis metric. M-DTCWT is composed of directional filter bank in cascade with dual tree complex wavelet transform. By using the M-DTCWT to decompose the human images in videos for multi-scale and multi-direction, the high and low frequency coefficients can be obtained. The texture features of the high and low frequency coefficients are extracted by using improved local binary pattern and gray level co-occurrence matrix and classified by using elliptic Mahalanobis metric. According to the results of classification, group activities are recognized. Experimental results on Group activity video set and self built video set show that the proposed algorithm has higher recognition accuracy than the existing algorithms and Euclidean metric algorithm. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2018.
