Degradation and overstress failures occur in many electronic systems in which the operation load and environmental conditions are *** dependency of them called dependent competing failure process(DCFP),has been widely *** system may experience mutual effects of degradation and shocks,they are considered to be *** the degradation and the shock processes will decrease the limit of system and cause cumulative ***,the competition of hard and soft failure will cause the system *** on the failure mechanism accumulation theory,this paper constructs the shock-degradation acceleration and the threshold descent model,and a system reliability model established by using these two *** mutually DCFP effect of electronic system interaction has been decomposed into physical correlation of failure,including acceleration,accumulation and *** a case,a reliability of electronic system in aeronautical system has been analyzed with the proposed *** method proposed is based on failure physical evaluation,and could provide important reference for quantitative evaluation and design improvement of the newly designed system in case of data deficiency.

Co-doped cryptomelane-type manganese oxide in situ grown on a nickel foam substrate for high humidity ozone decomposition

Monolithic catalysts with excellent O_(3)catalytic decomposition performance were prepared by in situ loading of Co-doped KMn_(8)O_(16)on the surface of nickel *** triple-layer structure with Co-doped KMn_(8)O_(16)/Ni6MnO_(8)/Ni foam was grown spontaneously on the surface of nickel foam by tuning the molar ratio of KMnO_(4)to Co(NO_(3))_(2)·6H_(2)O ***,the formed Ni6MnO_(8)structure between KMn_(8)O_(16)and nickel foam during in situ synthesis process effectively protected nickel foam from further etching,which significantly enhanced the reaction stability of *** optimum amount of Co doping in KMn_(8)O_(16)was available when the molar ratio of Mn to Co species in the precursor solution was 2:*** the Mn2Co1 catalyst had abundant oxygen vacancies and excellent hydrophobicity,thus creating outstanding O_(3)decomposition *** O_(3)conversion under dry conditions and relative humidity of 65%,90%over a period of 5 hr was 100%,94%and 80%with the space velocity of 28,000 hr^(−1),*** in situ constructed Co-doped KMn_(8)O_(16)/Ni foam catalyst showed the advantages of low price and gradual applicability of the preparation process,which provided an opportunity for the design of monolithic catalyst for O_(3)catalytic decomposition.

Wearable devices,such as data gloves and electronic skins,can perceive human instructions,behaviors and even emotions by tracking a hand's motion,with the help of knowledge *** shape or position single-mode sensor in such devices often lacks comprehensive information to perceive interactive ***,the limited computing power of wearable applications restricts the multimode fusion of different sensing data and the deployment of deep learning *** propose a perceptive fusion electronic skin(PFES)with a bioinspired hierarchical structure that utilizes the magnetization state of a magnetostrictive alloy film to be sensitive to external strain or magnetic *** at the joints of a hand,the PFES realizes perception of curvature(joint shape)and magnetism(joint position)information by mapping corresponding signals to the two-directional continuous distribution such that the two edges represent the contributions of curvature radius and magnetic field,*** autonomously selecting knowledge closer to the user's hand movement characteristics,the reinforced knowledge distillation method is developed to learn and compress a teacher model for rapid deployment on wearable *** PFES integrating the autonomous learning algorithm can fuse curvature-magnetism dual information,ultimately achieving human machine interaction with gesture recognition and haptic feedback for cross-space perception and manipulation.

Robust fully spin-polarized nodal chain in 3D metal-organic framework

The identification of fully spin-polarized topological phases in magnetic inorganic materials has attracted significant *** this study,through first-principles calculations,we characterize CrCl2(pyz)2,a metal-organic framework(MOF),as a nodal chain *** results reveal a ferromagnetic ground state in this material,presenting as a half-metal with a single spin channel near the Fermi ***-ically,the spin-down states form a nodal chain close to the Fermi level,consisting of three nodal loops protected by glide mirror symmetry on distinct ***,fully spin-polarized drumhead sur-face states corresponding to these nodal loops are identified on the material's ***,we observe the persistence of the fully spin-polarized nodal chain even when tuning the ligand rotation an-gle of the ***,our investigation delves into the influence of spin-orbit coupling(SOC)on the system,revealing that it has minimal impact on the nodal *** robustness of the nodal chain in the presence of SOC underscores its intriguing and resilient nature,indicating its potential utility in various electronic ***,the robust realization of a fully spin-polarized nodal chain in this magnetic MOF system holds promise for applications in the realm of spintronics.

Enhanced resistance to ciprofloxacin stress in integrated floating film activated sludge system filled with surface-modified carriers for simultaneous nitrification and denitrification

While the effectiveness of integrated floating film activated sludge(IFFAS)system filled with surface-modified carriers has been demonstrated in promoting simultaneous nitrification and denitrification(SND)performance,the effect of antibiotic stress on this system remains ***,this study investigated the stress response of SND in IFFAS under short-and long-term exposure to ciprofloxacin(CIP),a commonly used *** indicated the significantly higher semi-inhibitory concentration of CIP in the IFFAS system with modified carriers(36.54 mg/L)than that in IFFAS with conventional high density polyethylene(HDPE)carriers(28.77 mg/L).IFFAS system with modified carriers exhibited improved resistance to CIP toxicity compared to IFFAS using HDPE carriers or conventional activated sludge under long-term exposure to CIP concentrations from 50 to 3000μg/*** surface-modified carriers demonstrated a multifaceted strategy to mitigate the inhibitory effects of CIP,such as enhancing production of extracellular polymeric substances(EPS)to serve as a potential protective barrier against CIP toxicity,the less suppression of key enzyme activities involved in nitrogen removal,as well as inducing the upregulation of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs)(qepA,qnrB/C)and the integrase gene(intI1)to enhance target prevention and efflux pumping mechanisms for resistance to *** findings collectively underscored the efficacy of modified carriers in attenuating CIP toxicity within the SND system.

Materials featuring topological energy bands and nontrivial surface states hold significant promise in unlocking unprecedented opportunities for innovating electrocatalytic ***,it remains a challenge to realize superior topological catalysts which can carry both high catalytic activity and excellent catalytic ***,we propose that a family of Ni-based binary materials hosting fantasying topological conjunct-nodalpoint state and a large nontrivial energy window(NEWD)represents an ideal choice for such superior topological catalysts in hydrogen evolution *** presence of conjunct-nodal-points ensures long Fermi arcs on the surface,thereby enabling an extremely high catalytic *** NEWD plays a crucial role in stabilizing the high catalytic activity against external perturbations,such as strain and electron/hole *** roles for conjunctnodal-points and NEWD are substantiated by the observable weakening of catalytic performance during topological phase transitions,which result in the removal of the conjunct-nodal-points,NEWD and their corresponding long Fermi *** work unveils a hidden mechanism and opens a feasible route for developing superior quantum catalysts from novel topology point of view.

Conductive and stable polyphenylene/CNT composite membrane for electrically enhanced membrane fouling mitigation

Nanocarbon-based conductive membranes, especially carbon nanotube (CNT)-based membranes, have tremendous potential for wastewater treatment and water purification because of their excellent water permeability and selectivity, as well as their electrochemically enhanced performance (e.g., improved antifouling ability). However, it remains challenging to prepare CNT membranes with high structural stability and high electrical conductivity. In this study, a highly electroconductive and structurally stable polyphenylene/CNT (PP/CNT) composite membrane was prepared by electropolymerizing biphenyl on a CNT hollow fiber membrane. The PP/CNT membrane showed 3.4 and 5.0 times higher electrical conductivity than pure CNT and poly(vinyl alcohol)/CNT (PVA/CNT) membranes, respectively. The structural stability of the membrane was superior to that of the pure CNT membrane and comparable to that of the PVA/CNT membrane. The membrane fouling was significantly alleviated under an electrical assistance of −2.0 V, with a flux loss of only 11.7% after 5 h filtration of humic acid, which is significantly lower than those of PP/CNT membranes without electro-assistance (56.8%) and commercial polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membranes (64.1%). Additionally, the rejection of negatively charged pollutants (humic acid and sodium alginate) was improved by the enhanced electrostatic repulsion. After four consecutive filtration-cleaning cycle tests, the flux recovery rate after backwashing reached 97.2%, which was much higher than those of electricity-free PP/CNT membranes (67.0%) and commercial PVDF membranes (61.1%). This study offers insights into the preparation of stable conductive membranes for membrane fouling control in potential water treatment applications.

Strategies for efficient enrichment of anaerobic ammonia oxidizing bacteria in activated sludge

Anaerobic ammonia oxidation(Anammox)is an economical and sustainablewastewater nitrogen removal technology,and its application in the mainstream process is the inevitable trend of the development of ***,how to effectively enriching Anammox bacteria from the activated sludge remains challenging and restricts its extensive *** this study,the rapid and efficient enrichment of Anammox bacteriawas achieved by raising the reflux ratio and nitrogen loading rate(NLR)using conventional activated sludge as the *** the screening phase(days 1–90),the reflux ratio was increased to discharge partial floc sludge,resulting in the relative abundance of Candidatus Brocadiaceae increased from0.04%to 22.54%,which effectively reduced thematrix and spatial competition between other microorganisms and Anammox *** day 90,the stoichiometric ratio of the Anammox process closely approached the theoretical value of 1:1.32:0.26,indicating that the Anammox reaction was the primary nitrogen removal process in the *** the enrichment phase(days 91–238),the NLR increased from 0.43 to 1.20 kgN/(m^(3)·d)and removal efficiency was 71.89%,resulting in the relative abundance of Candidatus Brocadiaceae increased to 61.27%on day *** reactor operated steadily from days 444 to 498,maintaining the nitrogen removal rate(NRR)of 3.00 kgN/(m^(3)·d)and achieving successful sludge granulation with the particle size of 392.4μ*** short,this study provided a simple and efficient approach for enriching Anammox bacteria from the activated sludge,supporting to start an Anammox process efficiently.
