Interpretable gradient boosting based ensemble learning and African vultures optimization algorithm optimization for estimating deflection induced by excavation

Intelligent construction has become an inevitable trend in the development of the construction *** the excavation project,using machine learning methods for early warning can improve construction efficiency and quality and reduce the chances of damage in the excavation *** interpretable gradient boosting based ensemble learning framework enhanced by the African Vultures Optimization Algorithm(AVOA)was proposed and evaluated in estimating the diaphragm wall deflections induced by *** investigated and compared the performance of machine learning models in predicting deflections induced by excavation based on a database generated by finite element ***,we exploratively analyzed these data to discover the relationship between *** used several state-of-the-art intelligent models based on gradient boosting and several simple models for model *** hyperparameters for all models in evaluation are optimized using AVOA,and then the optimized models are assembled into a unified framework for fairness *** comprehensive evaluation results show that the AVOA-CatBoost built in this paper performs well(RMSE=1.84,MAE=1.18,R2=0.9993)and cross-validation(RMSE=2.65±1.54,MAE=1.17±0.23,R2=0.998±0.002).In the end,in order to improve the transparency and usefulness of the model,we constructed an interpretable model from both global and local perspectives.

Membrane distillation(MD)is a promising alternative desalination technology,but the hydrophobic membrane cannot intercept volatile organic compounds(VOCs),resulting in aggravation in the quality of *** term of this,electro-Fenton(EF)was coupled with sweeping gas membrane distillation(SGMD)in a more efficient way to construct an advanced oxidation barrier at the gas-liquid interface,so that the VOCs could be trapped in this layer to guarantee the water quality of the *** the so-called EF-MD process,an interfacial interception barrier containing hydroxyl radical formed on the hydrophobic membrane *** contributed to the high phenol rejection of 90.2% with the permeate phenol concentration lower than 1.50 mg/*** interceptions can be achieved in a wide temperature range,even though the permeate flux of phenol was also *** EF-MD system was robust to high salinity and could electrochemically regenerate ferrous ions,which endowed the long-term stability of the *** novel EF-MD configuration proposed a valuable strategy to intercept VOCs in MD and will broaden the application of MD in hypersaline wastewater treatment.

The strong pyrocatalytic dye decomposition of the BaTiO_(3)/Pr_(2)O_(3) heterojunction catalyst under cold–hot alternation conditions has been demonstrated in this *** pure BaTiO_(3) nanofibers,~54%rhodamine B(RhB)dye is decomposed under the cold–hot alternation of 29–57℃.With the loading content of Pr_(2)O_(3) increases from 0 to 4 wt%,the pyrocatalytic decomposition ratio of RhB solution increases first and then decreases,eventually achieving a maximum of 91%at 3 wt%.The enhanced pyrocatalytic performance after loading Pr_(2)O_(3) can be attributed to an internal electric field of the heterojunction,which effectively separates positive and negative *** strongly pyrocatalytic performance of BaTiO_(3)/Pr_(2)O_(3) makes it hopeful for applications in the dye wastewater treatment through harvesting the environmental cold–hot temperature alternation thermal energy in future.

The HgCdTe Photodiode is the most basic and important unit of HgCdTe IRFPA (Infra-red focal plane array) detectors, which have been widely used in the fields of security, fire protection, remote sensing and deep space detection. For HgCdTe IRFPA, the trapped charges of the HgCdTe material and the ionic charges introduced during the preparation process are the factors, other than environmental stress, that have the greatest impact on IRFPA performance. The trapped charges come from the trap energy level in the HgCdTe material, which exist during the crystal growth process and can be improved by adjusting the growth conditions, but it cannot be completely avoided. The ionic charges introduced during the process are generally concentrated at the interface and surface of the HgCdTe material, which can be reduced by process improvement, but cannot be completely avoided. In order to analyze the mechanism of multiple charges affecting the HgCdTe detector performance, a type of n+ -on-p HgCdTe Photodiode is selected as the object of this work, and the effects of the concentration and distribution of charges on the carrier distribution and energy band structure of the n+ -on-p HgCdTe are analyzed in detail. The introduction of additional net charge relative to an ideal n+ -on-p HgCdTe Photodiode leads to the aggregation or scavenging of local carriers and affects the energy band structure near the charge, creating additional potential barriers or potential wells, which is likely to cause device degradation. On this basis, the optoelectronic properties of the HgCdTe Photodiode have been investigated under infrared radiation at a wavelength of 9.5 μm, as the light I-V characteristics, the dynamic resistance-voltage characteristics, band structure and carrier density distribution. Oxidative desulfurization(ODS)is a promising technology to produce clean fuel with requiring superior catalysts to lower kinetic *** most ODS catalysts are based on crystalline transition-metal oxides(TMOs),extraordinary activity also can be achieved with amorphous ***,the origin of the remarkable catalytic activity of the amorphous TMOs remains greatly ***,we found the crucial role of Mo–O covalency in ruling the intrinsic catalytic activity of amorphous molybdenum oxides(MoO_(x)).Experimental and theoretical analysis indicated that the nonequivalent connectivity in the amorphous structure strongly enhanced Mo–O covalency,thereby increasing the content of electrophilic oxygen and nucleophilic molybdenum to favor the MoO_(x)–H_(2)O_(2) *** the boosted Mo–O covalency to improve the flexibility of the charge state,the amorphous MoO_(x)-based composite catalyst(PE-MoO_(x)/S-0.05)exhibited outstanding catalytic activity for ODS of fuel *** turnover frequency(TOF)value of the catalyst(18.63 h^(-1))was almost an order of magnitude higher than that of most reported crystalline MoO_(x)/molecular sieve composite *** in-depth understanding of the origin of the amorphous TMOs activity for ODS provides a valuable reference for developing ODS catalysts.

HgCdTe infrared focal plane array imaging detectors have been widely used in a variety of fields such as night vision surveillance, remote sensing mapping and astronomical observation. In recent years, with the development of semiconductor manufacturing processes, the array size of HgCdTe IR focal plane array imaging detectors has gradually increased, and the preparation process has become increasingly complex. During the preparation process, impurity ions can enter the HgCdTe material and cause degradation of device performance or even device failure. This work investigates the distribution of impurity elements in HgCdTe IR focal plane array detectors prepared by both processes and the mechanism by which impurity elements cause device failure. © 2023 SPIE.
