Nowadays, hypersonic flight vehicles are widely studied. Since their high nonlinearity, strong coupling and uncertain factors, the conventional three-channel independent control design method is often unable to work well. In this paper, an active disturbance rejection controller (ADRC) is utilized to cancel internal uncertainties and exogenous disturbances for longitudinal dynamics. Then, the MIMO robust controller is obtained by choosing proper sensitivity functions and weighting functions to reduce horizontal-lateral direction coupling. The conventional H robust controllor is high-order, which is difficult for practitioners to implement. With frequency transformation, both ADRC for the longitudinal dynamics and MIMO robust controller for the horizontal-lateral dynamics are reformed into the static output feedback structure to reduce the high order of controller. Finally, all parameters in the controllers can be optimized by HIFOO (H-Infinity Fixed Order Optimization). The Winged-Cone, a 6-freedom NASA hypersonic vehicle model, is used as a benchmark, and Monte Carlo simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2017, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Inc, AIAA. Hypokinetic dysarthria is one of the core symptoms of Parkinson's disease, characterized by reduced loudness, slurred speech and distorted consonant productions. Dopaminergic medication for Parkinson's disease (PD) has been proven to be effective in treating limb and gross motor movement problems. However, the literature sees contradictory findings regarding dopaminergic effects on speech problems associated with PD. Previous perceptual and acoustic studies of PD hypokinetic dysarthria mostly involved heterogeneous population and variations of speech tasks which complicated data interpretation. Also, the lack of kinematic data limited our understanding of the details of articulation errors associated with PD, as well as the medication effects. Electromagnetic articulography (EMA) enabled the examination of PD articulatory patterns with high degree of accuracy and safety. The aim of the present study was to address these inconsistencies by providing an integrative description of basic kinematic and acoustic parameters of speech production about the dopaminergic effect on early PD speech by using EMA. The results revealed a significant improvement of articulatory function on dopaminergic effects for PD speech, evidenced by increased vowel space, the velocity and accelerated velocity initiation and coordination of articulation during bilabial or alveolar productions.

In order to better study the dynamic characteristics and the control strategy of parafoil systems,considering the effect of flap deflection as the control mechanism and regarding the parafoil and the payload as a rigid body,a six degrees-of-freedom(DOF)dynamic model of a parafoil system including three DOF for translational motion and three DOF for rotational motion,is established according to the K rchhoff motion *** the flexible winged paafoil system flying at low altitude is more susceptibleto winds,the motion characteristics of the parafoil system Wth and Wthout winds are simulated and ***,the ardropm test is used to further verify the *** comparison results show that the simulation trajectory roughly overlaps with the actual flight *** horzontnl velocity of the simulation model is in good accordance with the airdrop test,with a deviation less than0.5m/s,while its simulated vertical velocity fuctuates slightly under the infuence of the wind,and shows a similar trend to the ardrop *** is concludedthat the established model can well describe the characteristics of the parafoil system.

With the booming of e-commerce,salerooms of online shops have affected the offline shops marketing *** requires a smart system to help dealers to predict the products sale trend,so as to save cost for their entity *** this paper,we propose an interactions data detection system based on RFID *** customers' behavior information reflected by Received Signal Strength Indicator(RSSI) and time duration when they compare and select products is recorded in the Cloud Platform Server(CPS) for analyzing product sale ***,we have defined the IDP value based on detected interactions *** practical experiments,the IDP is shown to have same variations associated with practical ***,for a product with a high IDP value,dealers can advertise or recommend relevant information of such a product via displays at the shops to increase its sales volume.

This paper tackles the problem of the attitude tracking control for the 3-DOF helicopter. A robust tracking control scheme is proposed based on active disturbance rejection control(ADRC). Aiming at the 3-DOF helicopter manufactured by Quanser Inc, a high order nonlinear ESO is designed to implement the real-time estimation and online compensation of the external disturbance. Simulation results show high performance and good robustness in the presence of the external disturbance.

This paper presents an interactive training platform of motor learning using movement imitation and synchronous speech instruction. This platform enables a child with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and a robot to imitate each other. A robot can ask a child to copy its action and instruct human how to adjust his/her action to match its action. A robot can also ask a child to coach it, which is able to elicit children's response to increase their communication. The platform is built up by a NAO humanoid robot that demonstrates actions, and a depth camera that captures child's actions. We scaled the skeleton tracking data in order to evaluate the consistence of actions between human and robot. The pilot tests on both children with and without ASD have shown that our framework is flexible and convenient for assisting intervention, and that the synchronous speech instructions to some extend facilitate children with ASD to perform their actions for motor learning.

In conventional design works relevant to antennae transmission, the space-time block coding (STBC) and beamforming (BF) gains could not be achieved at the same time usually. This is mainly due to the STBC performs well under a low correlated channel environment; BF technologies, on the other hand, works efficiently when the multi-input multi-output (MIMO) channels are highly correlated. In order to boost the system performance, in this paper, we propose a novel MIMO architecture to exploit STBC, e.g. Alamouti code, and BF technologies simultaneously. The antenna array systems associated with polarization have potential to obtain gains for both techniques because the cross-branch links in the system usually are not correlated; and the cross-array links could be highly correlated by setting a small array element distance, i.e. equal to or less than a half-wavelength. Finally, the efficiency of our proposed architecture is validated via computer simulations.

Voice conversion is a technique that aims to transform the individuality of source speech so as to mimic that of target speech while keeping the message unaltered, where the Gaussian mixture model based methods are most commonly used. However, these methods suffer from over-smoothing and over-fitting problems. In our previous work, we proposed to use Gaussian processes to alleviate over-fitting. Despite its effectiveness, this method will inevitably lead to over-smoothing due to choosing the mean of predictive distribution of Gaussian processes as optimal estimation. Thus, in this paper we focus on addressing the over-smoothing problem by post-filtering the outputs of the standard Gaussian processes, resulting in more dynamics in the converted feature parameters. Experiments have confirmed the validity of the proposed method both objectively and subjectively.

In recent years, both of financial technologies and its services for mobile devices have been increased sharply. However, according to the case studies of mobile security, security threats have been increased too. Thus, for sustaining their services safe, security department of companies or bank institutes continuously research and develop to upgrade their service solutions. However, recent researches of security threats reported that various new types of social engineering attack were frequently observed in mobile service. In this paper, we compare several user authentication schemes against social engineering attacks, especially shoulder surfing attack. In the experimental result, each one of existing schemes have a slightly different weaknesses. According to the result of comparative analysis, we suggest some of considerations for developing anti-shoulder surfing security solution.

Impressive achievements have been achieved over the years in object recognition and 3D pose estimation while detecting objects and estimating their 3D poses reliably is still a very challenging problem, especially for texture-less objects in heavily cluttered scenes. In this paper, we introduce an improved approach based on multi-stage feature learning to identify object as well as their 3D orientation efficiently. Our approach is motivated by visual neuroscience models. Currently similar architectures have been successfully applied to pedestrian detection, traffic recognition, face representation, etc. We compute the feature descriptors by multi-stage convolutional neural networks (CNNs) which could map the object identity and 3D poses to the Euclidean distance space by evaluating the similarity between descriptors. By contrast with classical approaches, our method relies on fast and approximate Nearest Neighbor (NN) matching to solve the large scale problems instead of one classifier per object or multi-class classifiers whose complexity grows rapidly with the number of objects. The experiments of detecting poorly-textured objects in cluttered scenarios have been carried out to verify the effectiveness and efficacy of the proposed approach. © 2016 IEEE.
